Yet, the overall design blended perfectly with the Song Dynasty style, without any jarring elements. The cleanliness deserves full marks; the floors and tabletops were spotless, and the wet/dry separation in the bathroom was excellent. Most importantly, the bedding felt meticulously cared for – clean and soft, guaranteeing a great night's sleep. The service was impeccable. Check-in at the front desk was efficient, and they thoughtfully provided a Kaifeng tourist map. Room service was also very prompt. The biggest bonus was the souvenir I received when checking out: a beautifully packaged box of Kaifeng chrysanthemum tea.
