RibkaKThe hotel is new and clean. The room is big and comfortable. They have small gym, and also laundry room. The concierge people were so sweet, they did our laundry, dried it, and also sent it back to our room. The pillows are really comfortable, thats why they have it for sale too. Breakfast is also nice and simple. Would recommend to come to this hotel. It is a walking distance to shopping malls and also some restaurants.

Before check-in, I received a warm welcome call asking about my arrival time and room preferences. They were very accommodating with my requests for a high floor and a quiet, non-smoking room. The check-in process was quick upon arrival, and they even offered delicious tea. Breakfast was a buffet, so everyone could choose what they liked ā very satisfied!

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room they assigned me was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast selection was extensive. The hotel is also conveniently located very close to the subway station, making it easy to get around. Plus, the Olympic Sports Center is only about a 10-15 minute walk away.

Gordon OakleyThis is no doubt that No 8 Courtyard Homestay is beautiful place to stay. As international visitors to China it was exactly as we hoped for when we booked. Authentic traditional Chinese accommodation with modern hotel facilities in a fabulous location. Itās very quiet despite the proximity to the busier areas nearby. However, we were very disappointed to find the Homestay misrepresents information about smoking that was important to our accomodation choices and selection on Trip.com. As the photo from the website below shows, No Smoking in Public Areas, there is a Smoking Area. The smell of cigarette smoke was very evident on our arrival in both the courtyard, and the internal reception area. We questioned the hotel receptionist who explained smoking is permitted in certain areas, including the Courtyard that guests enter and exit every time to go in or out of the Homestay. The Courtyard is an outdoor public space and the Homestay smoking area (as per the photo of the ashtray in the Courtyard below). Itās unavoidable. While the reception area is internal, the receptionist explained guests are asked not to smoke if they are smoking. Furthermore, the Homestay provides hotel style ashtrays as the entrances to the elevator and we pointed out there was a cigarette butt in the ashtray, evidence of smoking despite the information on Trip.com. There were no visible āno smoking signsā. This meant that we would not enjoy the beautiful public spaces of eitber the Courtyard or the Reception area without cigarette smoke or other guests smoking. The receptionist suggested to us we find another hotel, at nearly 10pm we found this was unsatisfactory. She offered for us to stay and pay one night (of our 3 night booking) but this was a problem for our itinerary. The following day we were offered to change to a room with its own courtyard which we did. However, we would never have booked this accommodation if the correct information about smoking by the Homestay was on Trip.com. As hotel guests have to trust 100 hundred percent that the information on the website is accurate and we reiterated this when the manager came to meet us. The filters for non smoking on Trip.com are very good. But, the Homestay allows smoking in the outside public areas, and internal public areas are only managed if the staff ask the guests not to smoke. The reception told us that does not stop the guests from smoking and they canāt control that. The manager said the Homestay would review its smoking policy. Regardless of this, It is necessary for the Homestay not to misrepresent information but to provide accurate information on their booking platforms.

Guest UserThe location is excellent, right next to the main street, and the hotel itself is very impressive. Free parking, including an underground garage, is a huge plus. The service was great; we needed extra blankets, iodine, and slippers, and the staff promptly brought them to our room. The room was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the cleanliness was impeccable.

Guest UserWe chose this hotel for our child's high school entrance exam. After comparing several hotels in the area, we ultimately picked the City Intercontinental Hotel because it was incredibly clean and tidy, with stylish decor. The bedding was comfortable, and the facilities were complete and new. What stood out the most was its excellent location. Friends visiting Jinan are in luck! The City Intercontinental Hotel by Daming Lake is right next to the subway, making travel incredibly convenient.
The hotel's biggest highlight was its exceptionally thoughtful service. The front desk and staff were so welcoming. We had originally booked a Deluxe Queen Room, but when the hotel learned our child was taking the exam, they specially upgraded us to a Grand Deluxe Queen Room free of charge. It was much quieter and more comfortable, allowing our child to settle in, study, and rest well ā which will surely lead to excellent exam results. After checking in, every housekeeping staff member we met greeted us with a big smile, which was incredibly heartwarming! [smiley face]
Many thanks to the City Intercontinental Hotel for their kind support for our child! [folded hands emoji x2]
May your hotel always be bustling, your reputation spread far and wide, always fully booked, and prosperity come from all directions! [thumbs up emoji]

Guest UserThe room was clean and simple, and the hotel environment felt very new. It was a really pleasant experience staying here during my business trip to Shandong. The front desk staff were very attentive; we had a standard room for four people, and they proactively upgraded us to a four-person breakfast. The breakfast itself was surprisingly excellent and very rich. For this price, the value for money, service, dining, environment, and cleanliness are all fantastic. It's definitely worth a huge thumbs-up from me. I highly recommend everyone to stay here if you get the chance! Oh, and another thing, there are tons of places to eat nearby⦠very food-friendly!

Tarot.YEvery time the hotel has a crayfish festival, I come to stay for a night. This time, I got upgraded to a suite, which was pretty nice. The room service staff, Gao Xiujuan and Zou Fufang, were great; they promptly brought extra water and blankets when requested. The only issue was that the breakfast items weren't replenished in a timely manner. The chilled milk was gone when I arrived, and even after I mentioned it to the staff, it wasn't refilled by the time I left.

Anonymous UserThe room was spacious and clean, not far from the airport, and exceptionally quiet at night, which made for a great sleep. They even upgraded our room upon check-in! We arrived on a red-eye flight, and since an elderly person in our group had difficulty walking, Xiao Chen at the front desk specially arranged for a driver to contact us in advance. The whole trip went incredibly smoothly! š Highly recommend staying here without hesitation! šš
