GGuest UserThe first time I went to Amsterdam with my bestie, we arrived at the hotel at 8pm. It was by a very quiet river. I thought it was a remote location, but I didn't expect that the hotel was surrounded by attractions after walking around the next day: Anne Frank House and Tulip Museum, Church and Canal Yacht Center and Small Square. The front desk receptionist, the blonde sister, was warm and friendly. She introduced the room and catering and the condition of the elevator to be repaired. She also recommended local restaurants nearby and helped to make reservations. The Chinese boss did a good job in employee training. The surprise was that the small suite on the fourth floor not only faced the beautiful canal, but also had a hot water kettle that girls always wanted. I like the hotel's logo. The Western breakfast has a rich selection of hot and cold drinks. The restaurant environment is small and warm, and the illustrations on the background wall have a sense of déjà vu of campus blackboard newspapers. Because it was my birthday that day, my bestie took a group photo with the Polaroid provided by the hotel as a souvenir. The hotel staff, a beautiful long-legged sister, took the initiative to help, which was very nice. Check out on time at 11 am, and the luggage can be stored at the front desk. After taking a cruise 🚤 and visiting the city, we returned to the hotel, rested in the restaurant, ate freshly baked cakes, and drank hot ☕️. The front desk helped me call a taxi to the airport and gave me a bag of snacks before leaving. It was really thoughtful! Looking forward to coming back next time 😘

GGuest UserWe spent our winter holiday here and there are plenty of local groceries stores around. The train station is just a breeze walk away so it’s easy to travel around. The Zaanse Schans (windmill attraction), Zaandam (‘Lego’ house) is just few stations away from the hotel. Stay wise it’s comfortable but can get tad abit noisy as the sound insulation between walls are rather weak. All in all we will definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserI had a very disappointing experience with the staff during my stay. I booked the room from 8 to 11 April specifically so I could arrive early on 9 April and check in without issues. However, when I arrived, I was told I could not check in early, and no clear explanation of the policy was provided. I only asked for clarification, but the staff’s attitude felt unfriendly and unhelpful, and I ended up waiting for a long time. Later, I decided to upgrade to a pod room. Initially, a female staff member showed me the price of €137 for two nights, which I agreed to. However, shortly after, another staff member changed the price to €200 without a clear justification. This inconsistency and lack of transparency were very frustrating. Overall, the experience was poorly handled, with unclear policies, inconsistent pricing, and unfriendly service. It left a negative impression despite the booking itself being straightforward.

WWaradasThe hotel is in a perfect location for travellers catching up the train and city sightseeing. It's got basic amenities and smaller rooms. Trip.com.said breakfast ends at 12pm and this was clearly wrong information. When I went down to breakfast it was staff meal time. However the manager and the lady who was in charge of breakfast were nice and he let me have breakfast. Apart from the location there isn't a big value for the price.

GGuest UserSo not sure where to start with this one.. Upon booking I messaged and asked the hotel was it okay to get an early check-in and they said yes it’s all good as I told them we get to Amsterdam for 7.30am they let us check-in our room as soon as we got there we had the secret bookcase room.. Brilliant room beds comfy we then decided to extend our trip a few days changing room to another which was an old lift made into a room Again great idea.. Upon this we still didn’t want to go home so stopped another night but this time In the tram by far my best room it was very big and just brilliant.. all the rooms where really good the hotel it’s self is amazing there’s a bar area and little shop where you can get snacks drinks ect the bathroom is communal and always spotless the showers nice and hot The hotel it’s self is a 10/10 Now for the staff well what can we say they are amazing each and eveyone especially the maintenance man he told us the best places to go and eat and mapped places for us then the female staff Nothing was to much for them and the manager brilliant man Again told us where to go ect The staff make the stay that bit better as you can ask them Anything at all And they so helpful we will 100% be back to stop with the hotel Again just to see the staff… The only negative things I’ve got to say about the hotel is it needs a washing machine and microwave would be good not major but we would of 100% used Them thanks to the hotel for our 5 night extended stop Lisa & ian

JJessieLjjTransiting through Amsterdam on our way to Madrid, this hotel was okay for a one-night stay. Hotels were surprisingly expensive this week, so we couldn't expect too much for a triple room costing around 500-600 euros. I brought my own disposable sheets to put over the bed. The kettle and other amenities looked a bit dirty, so I didn't use them. I also brought my own hairdryer. Not having slippers was quite inconvenient, but I guess that's normal in Europe. Even the city-center hotel apartments we stayed at later in Madrid and Barcelona didn't provide them; I only got to wear slippers when we reached a five-star hotel in Segovia. The private bathroom was separate from the room, which was a bit inconvenient, but I knew that when booking. Also, because I woke up so early, I decided to walk to the canals. It was quite a long walk, about three kilometers, actually.

GGuest UserThe lobby of the Amsterdam Library Hotel is really the layout of the library, and the smell of books is strong when you enter the door. Less than 10 minutes from the central railway station, go left at the main entrance of the train station, cross the tram, walk along the road, there is a bus station at the entrance of the hotel, it is easy to find. The 24-hour front desk, the waiter is very enthusiastic, will tell you in detail where to go, live here safely and comfortably.
