GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very convenient. It is within walking distance of most tourist attractions in the city center. The hotel staff are very polite and the room is cleaned every day. It is a hotel that I highly recommend. I will definitely stay here next time👍

MMeidusuoheandeladeguozhenniandaiThe room's design and amenities were excellent, featuring boat-shaped wooden blinds facing the river, offering daily views of the sunrise and sunset, and even catching glimpses of foreigners swimming in the morning. Its cool, serene atmosphere was quite different from the surrounding museum area. The few days I visited during this season were probably the sunniest week in recent times; everyone enjoyed sitting outdoors, and it wasn't cold—a sweater was sufficient. The room's refrigerator, capsule coffee machine, electric stove, and dishwasher were all Miele, making it very convenient to cook for yourself. I happened to be there during the annual neighborhood party, where they treated the nearby residents to a free meal, although the foreigners mostly just had cheese, fries, drinks, and hamburgers. The hotel's bicycles are available for free borrowing; they're quite tall, and even with the seat adjusted as low as possible, I still couldn't get on. Regarding service, there were a few minor issues. During check-out, the bill was checked, and before catching my flight, I had over an hour for breakfast, only to find out 40 minutes had passed before realizing the bill was missing… Towel changing and room cleaning require the signs to be posted before 11:00 AM. Breakfast can be ordered in advance; besides the buffet, you can choose from a menu item such as an omelet or scrambled eggs with bacon for just under 20 euros. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.

HHypnoseWaldorf Astoria Amsterdam. The location is perfect, right by the Herengracht, in an old European house. It is 1.2-1.5 kilometers away from several major museums, and within 20 minutes' walk (the three-story canal and the cute little bridges every few steps and the chocolate-like little houses on the shore make the journey even shorter). The service is first-class, the breakfast is very good, the smoked salmon and ham are all made by themselves, and the taste is very good, but the room meals are hard to describe 😭; the room hygiene is also absolutely standard, there is no trace of uncleanliness on the floor, bathtub, shower room, countertop, or anywhere in the light white bathroom, and the cleaning staff are still so elusive (just like the high-end hotels in Hong Kong and Tokyo); the bathroom is a full set of large bottles of Aesop, just placed there; basically, except for the price, there is nothing wrong with it ~ I will consider staying here again next time I come to Amsterdam.

RRamgupta2000NH Collection Amsterdam Barbizon Palace is an excellent choice for a stay in the heart of the city. The location is unbeatable—right opposite Amsterdam Central Station and within walking distance of major attractions. The hotel blends historic charm with modern comfort beautifully. Rooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained, and the service is warm and professional throughout. Breakfast offers a great variety and quality. A perfect stay for both business and leisure travelers.

GGuest UserWe arrived a tad early Staff were really welcoming & offered to store our luggage until we returned later for check in.  The room was more than what we expected, roomy, clean & great view down to the Ziggo Dome entry. The breakfast was  pretty amazing, the choices from hot food, cereals, bread & cheeses, fruit, hot & cold drinks an awesome variety. The restaurant in house had a good variety of food, service was quick, staff were friendly & helpful.  All staff during our stay were really good. The location for us was No 1 right next to the Concert we went to see, The Ladies of Soul’  we will definitely book there again in the future. Keep up the good work Jaz in the City Amsterdam Staff. The cleaners also need a mention as they were easy to talk to and helpful when we requested items that had run out in our room.

JJulie Zhao ZHOUI booked this hotel near Amsterdam at the last minute for my flight, and I couldn't believe it when I saw the price was just over 200 (currency not specified), so I booked it immediately. The room was good, and the bar downstairs (which is also the breakfast area) was lively with an event, but I was too tired to join. Breakfast was excellent with a great atmosphere, and I also rented a hotel bike to cycle around.

GGuest UserThe hotel's cleanliness wasn't great; there was a thick layer of dust in many areas, which made it feel like housekeeping wasn't thorough enough. It's a shame and a bit of a waste because the hotel's decor and facilities are actually quite nice, and I heard it's an older, well-established hotel. Roomkeeping definitely needs improvement. When I checked out, I mentioned the cleanliness issues to a nice guy at the front desk. He apologized and even waived the parking fee, which was really good service, hats off to him. Breakfast was standard, had everything you'd expect.

GGuest UserThis is a 4-star hotel, but the room didn't even have bottled water, slippers, toothbrushes, cotton pads, or any of those small amenities you might need. We had to ask for slippers, and they brought them. The sink was clogged, but they fixed it when we asked. Room cleaning was superficial; one time, they didn't even make the bed, just took out the trash. All the dispensers (shampoo, soap) were nearly empty; we had to request refills. The internet in the room was poor, probably because we were on a high floor. The canal view from the 7th floor was a pleasant surprise – it was definitely worth it. Among the staff, Kostya was very friendly and helpful. The other ladies were less welcoming.

GGuest UserGreat hotel, nice rooms! It's just a shame that none of the staff spoke Dutch when we were there, at least. And close to the city center, you walk out the door and you're practically on Dam Square.

GGuest UserBeautiful hotel from the moment you walk in the doors rooms are well presented clean and a good size for Amsterdam, my only issue was the mattress toppers were beyond worn and all bubbley which made it feel like the bed was full of crumbs which made for a sleepless night, other then that the the staff were as friendly and warm as could be which just added to the hotels overall charm.
