Very Good
GGuest UserAs visitors we found it difficult to locate where to park our car because it is not clearly marked nor mentioned on the website. Lots of construction so streets cut off. No bottles of water in our rooms. No refrigerator. Parking cost 24€ even for quests who paid for 2 rooms! Some employees smile while they are serving you and others behave begrudgingly and have a frown on their face. Very regimented.
CcaptainSAYThis is a no frills hotel good for staying a couple of nights. It is quite expensive for what it actually is, but it was among the cheapest options I coule find when booking. Perhaps that's the price standard in Hamburg. The room looked a bit dated but it was quite spacious compared to other hotels in Europe. The location is great, close to the city centre and train station. However, you do see a lot of weird people wandering around the area near the hotel. I did not have any issues, but I would recommend staying vigilant. Breakfast is basic, but at least it is included so you won't leave hungry in the morning.
AAnonymous Userood location near to Hamburg main station. Check in was slow as there was only one old senior lady at the counter who kept talking to the guests in front of me and told me 5 times “just a moment…” The she left at 3pm and change shift to a young man who was much more efficient and friendly. My room was dark and smell funny but the bathroom is clean. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Breakfast was same every day. Restaurant staffs are nice. Would recommend only if you need to be near the train station.
RR KegThe hotel is located directly opposite the central station, which is really ideal. The room was top-notch! The only minor issue was that the elevator took quite a while, but overall, it was a great stay.
AAng_ieHotel Hesse in Hamburg is set in a relatively quiet part of the city, which made it a comfortable base to return to after a day out. It’s not particularly central, but getting around wasn’t difficult, and the surrounding area had a calm, local feel to it.
Inside, the room was functional and clean enough for a short stay. Nothing especially memorable, but everything worked as expected. It had that slightly dated charm you sometimes find in smaller city hotels, where comfort is there, just without any modern flair.
What stood out most was how uncomplicated the whole stay felt. Check-in, check-out, coming and going—everything was easy and without fuss. It’s the kind of place you choose when you just need somewhere to rest, rather than somewhere to experience.
Overall, Hotel Hesse was a practical and no-frills option in Hamburg. It may not leave a lasting impression, but it quietly does the job if you’re looking for a simple place to stay.
AAnonymous UserImportant advice for Ctrip:
After placing my reservation, Ctrip informed me that this hotel doesn't have a front desk and that I needed to contact the hotel to check in. Actually, this hotel does have a front desk! It's just around the corner and 30 meters away at the Graffiti Mother Hotel. I suggest Ctrip correct this information when confirming my reservation! Otherwise, I won't be able to contact the hotel directly to inquire.
HHuijingcaibaoGood location! There are many small supermarkets around, easy to buy! The internal floor is more complicated, the elevator is on the second floor, you need to drag your luggage to climb a flight of stairs!
