Pp.oh95Don't believe the photos they have of their rooms... because the room IS SO MUCH BETTER than how they look like in the photos! 😍 Believe me when I say I was surprised when I first entered the room. My room was a lot more spacious than I had imagined and it had a very contemporary feel. Despite being industrial in design, it had a cute color scheme which was charming to my taste.
It was also a very clean place to stay in, especially given that they clean your room only once every two days, not everyday. This is mostly the reason why I rated service 4/5, just being nitpicky since a daily clean up would have been preferred. I am pretty sensitive to dust and have bad allergies so I could tell if it's a dusty room or a/c unit, but I must say my allergies were not that bad during my stay and I didn't get itchy on the bed. Really, a clean room, a clean hotel, and a very calm and quiet environment? There's nothing more I could ask for. Also, they offer to lift your luggage for you upon check-in (they have only stairs, so good luck if you brought a large one). I arrived before check-in so I left my bags first, but when I returned, I was pleasantly surprised that they had already lifted it up to my room. The staff are really really friendly and patient so there's always a nice vibe each time you pass by the entrance.
The location, I must say, is the HIGHLIGHT of this hotel. Siam is around a 10 minute walk so you don't have to take the train to get to the city center. Ratchathewi is a closer BTS station if you just need to hop on/off a train faster and if you're taking the airport link train at Phaya Thai. It's in the center of where everything happens and highly accessible so the location is simply the best. It's also not as expensive an area compared to hotels found nearer to Siam area, so you're getting really good deals in Ratchathewi, including Palette. Silom and Asok are a ~15 minute ride using motortaxi so the party places are within a close radius. Accessing the hotel during closing hours is not difficult either, but if you're drunk, you might want to be careful closing the outer door connected to the steel roll-up gate since it might be too noisy.
As for amenities, well, there's nothing much you can expect given that it's a simple hostel. There is a small communal area on each floor where you can hang out in if you feel like your room is stuffy. But this is also where they get minus points to get a 4/5 from me in amenities. You're only given one key card that will power up the room. While this is no problem for me, the problem is that the room gets pretty hot when unattended and the power up of my room a/c is slow, so it takes time for the room temperature to get comfortable. I would rather stay in the room instead of the communal area if I know my room will be hot once I return. Bangkok is a hot city, and walking outside for most of the day can really tire one out, so it might be uncomfortable to stay in your room and wait 10-15 minutes for the room temperature to cool down. But that's basically it. I don't really need anything else when it comes to the amenities of a hostel. Since this is a café, you can easily buy your first dose of coffee (pretty good, if I may add) here to start your day. It's comfortable to sleep in, perfect location, perfect cleanliness, and amazing staff service. That's all that matters.
Thank you so much for a very comfortable 4 night stay! I will definitely book here next time given the chance. 🙏🏻
