YYuebangongzhuI stayed in Quanzhou for two consecutive days, and my overall experience was fantastic. Everything was perfect, and I highly recommend it! First, the location is absolutely superb, making getting around incredibly convenient. The hotel has a parking lot right downstairs, making parking easy and stress-free. There's also a direct elevator, so you don't have to lug your luggage around unnecessarily, which saves a lot of effort. You just drive up a slope and turn a corner, and you're at the entrance – the access is very smooth. From B1 of the hotel, you can directly access the street. Turn right, and you'll find the Bell Tower; cross an intersection, and you're just a few steps from West Street. Right across the street is a huge area with various eateries, making it a one-stop shop for food, drink, and entertainment. My favorite Aquan Beef restaurant is right next door, and the food is so delicious that I ate there several times during my two-day stay! The room experience was also great. The room type had one double bed and one single bed, offering spacious and comfortable living. It was equipped with a sofa, table, and chairs, making it very pleasant whether you're relaxing with tea or ordering takeout and dining in. The biggest bonus: it's super pet-friendly! You can bring your dog without any restrictions, which is a huge relief for those traveling with pets. The hotel also offers a complimentary Zanhua (flower hairpin) experience. A heads-up and key points for everyone: The Zanhua spot is on West Street and uses artificial flowers, not fresh ones. However, they will style your entire head, not just provide a simple hairpin. Their operating hours end at 7 PM, and the Zanhua needs to be returned, you cannot keep it. Make sure to manage your time accordingly! Also, be sure to make an appointment in advance via WeChat or business card, as previous customers getting makeup and changing clothes can cause significant delays, and you might have to wait a very long time if you just show up. Overall, the hotel is newly renovated and well-equipped. The only minor drawback is that the mattress is too soft. I personally like soft beds, but this one was excessively soft – you just sink right into it. After a tiring day of exploring and eating in Quanzhou, lying down for a long time made my body feel a bit sore. Other than that, there's almost nothing to fault.

GGuest UserThe staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They provided useful itinerary suggestions, and food recommendations. As a foreign guest, the staff proactively shared their WeChat ID and it’s recommended to share yours as well, as they are cautious about scams. Communication through WeChat was smooth and very helpful. A RMB 200 deposit is required, but as a foreigner there was no issue with the transaction. They were also kind enough to help me operate the washing machine, which I really appreciated. The room was clean and well-kept. The bed was comfortable, and I especially liked the pillow—it suited my preference well. One small thing to note is that it took a bit of time to figure out how to maintain a consistent shower temperature, as it would sometimes be too hot or too cold. Also worth mentioning: part of my room had a low ceiling. You’ll need to be careful when standing up—I bumped my head a few times during my stay 😅. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable experience with very attentive service. I would still recommend this homestay, especially for travelers who value helpful staff and local guidance.

GGuest UserLet’s talk about transportation first: Take a taxi to the Quanzhou hotel and walk to the mansion in five or six minutes. Let’s talk about the surroundings: There are many small restaurants in the surrounding area. It is more than ten minutes away from West Street and the Confucian Temple, and about twenty minutes away from Kaiyuan Temple. You can walk in the alleys to see the history and appreciate the cultural heritage. Detailed description of the mansion: The service staff knows the check-in time before the guests check in, and turns on the electric heater in the room in advance to increase the indoor temperature. Good service 👍 The room is larger than expected. Although the window is a bit small, the seating area and work area are sufficient. Economical price👍 The furnishings in the public areas of the mansion basically retain the ancient home style, fully demonstrating the interactive integration of multiple cultures. Unique style👍 Let’s talk about the shortcomings: There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room on the first floor. It was still raining in Quanzhou in early March, and people almost froze to death, but the mosquitoes were not dead🙄️ The temperature of the hot water was not quite high, and it was not very hot even after being left there for a long time. Because it was quite late, I did not contact the service staff. Maybe other rooms do not have this problem. Cats can be more friendly😄

JJay87Wanran is a charming Minsu homestay nestled in a beautifully preserved 100-year-old house, surrounded by a walkable neighborhood filled with heritage shophouses, cozy cafes, local eateries, and even a shopping mall. It’s the perfect balance of old-world charm and modern convenience. This family-run homestay — hosted by a lovely couple and their two children — offers a genuine and welcoming experience. The guest room is a renovated part of the old home: clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the essentials. Beyond the nostalgic architecture, what makes this place truly special is the tea room. It’s a hidden gem filled with rare and high-quality teas sourced from various regions. Guests are warmly invited to sit, sip, and chat — not just about tea, but also about culture, stories, and everyday life. Even as a foreigner with only basic Chinese skills, I felt completely at ease spending time in the tea room, exchanging thoughts with the host. Language wasn’t a barrier at all — tea became our shared language. This was my first time staying in a tea house, and it left me with beautiful memories. If you're looking for something authentic, relaxing, and deeply rooted in local life and tea culture, Wanran is a must.

GGuest UserA very nice boss, who waited for us to pick us up from the beginning, and enthusiastically recommended the ancient city attractions and introduced transportation methods. The city of Quanzhou and the people in Quanzhou are comfortable and considerate. I’ll come back if I have the chance~

AAnonymous UserMaybe I happened to encounter a bad environment at that time. I felt that the sheets were not very clean. The white sheets looked yellow, and I did see oil spots on the sheets. The experience was not very good, so I checked out after one night (and thank the store for agreeing to refund me). However, I really felt that my mental energy was exhausted after one night, so my friend and I changed the ticket directly. I hope that the store aunt can pay attention to hygiene, but the store aunt is still very good in communication. It’s just that we didn’t sleep very well and felt tired. It may be because the difference is too big compared with Meizhou Island (of course, it is also due to the price. The more expensive one may be better), so the overall impression of Quanzhou has been reduced. Sorry, the above is just my personal opinion. I really feel a little tired.

GGarry GoldsworthyThe hotel, staff and owners are truley amazing. The hotel is ideally situated in the heart if Quangzhou midway between the high speed rail and airport and within walking diatance of most of the primary tourist sites. It is conveniently close to dozens of great restaurants around the corner where we found it easy to get an early breakfast or a late dinner. The staff were incredibly helpful upon arrival and upgraded us from the queen room to a king room. The hotel was initially a little hard to find as it is in the lane behind the retail shops in front where the DiDi driver dropoed us The sign is illuminated in Chinese and we were not sure where to go. Apart from that every thing is 5 star. The bed was extemely comfortable and the room was spotless. The bathroom has a wonderful shower with conventional rain head and wand fixtures. The heated mirror is a very nice feature for after showering. The owners takes great pride in their hotel. A traditional tea station is provided with local tea. We can't talk more highly of this Hotel. We have been travelling for the past 60 days and this was by far the best we stayed in.

AAnonymous UserTime flies when you're having fun, and my trip to this thousand-year-old Quanzhou city has come to an end. What I'll remember most is choosing 2208 Inn, which boasts a fantastic location on the busiest street in Quanzhou's city center. The West Gate of the famous Kaiyuan Temple is just across the road from the inn. From my room at the inn, I could open the window and gaze at the beautiful night silhouette of Quanxi Hall on West Street. I could also hear the bustling crowds of West Street from outside my window. Day or night, the ancient city's streets are lined with a dazzling array of local snacks and delicacies – think Mianxian paste, Ginger Duck, Fujianese crispy pork, with famous eateries right next door. If you want a taste, just head downstairs; they're just a few steps away. Xunpu flower-wearing shops are also everywhere. If you want to try wearing the flowers, just go downstairs, and you can instantly transform into a beautiful flower-wearing girl. What brought me the most joy was the genuine conversations I had with the inn staff every time I returned. The front desk's handsome and dedicated customer service representative, the proprietress's beautiful smile, and the cleaning auntie's meticulousness and hard work all exemplify the inn's warm and thoughtful hospitality. Thank you all for giving me such wonderful memories of the ancient city. It makes me recall: in this thousand-year-old city, in this little alley corner, I unexpectedly encountered your vibrant, almost divine, warmth and vitality. It makes me miss the moment the pigeons flew past the Twin Pagodas of Kaiyuan Temple in the morning, the fragrant misty aroma of Tieguanyin tea in an old teahouse in the afternoon, and the golden glow of the sunset over Jinjiang River. Encounters are always brief! I've already made a promise with you – if I ever come to Quanzhou again, I will undoubtedly choose 2208 Inn without hesitation. As the year draws to a close and a new one begins, I wish the inn even greater prosperity and a booming year ahead!

DDaimiI went to Quanzhou with my friends and booked a three-bedroom homestay. The location is good, the room is big and very quiet. The bathroom is not very good, a little small, and it is inconvenient for two people to use it at the same time, one to take a shower and the other to blow dry their hair. After all, it is a bit inconvenient to have the toilet sink and the shower together for three rooms. Overall it is not bad, I recommend it.
