The room is very cost-effective! ! ! This price can live in such a house is far from unexpected. The location is also very convenient. Almost in the center of several attractions in Quanzhou City (I rented an electric car almost to visit, saying that Quanzhou is too comfortable to ride an electric car). The boss service is in place to eat, drink and play. The recommended rental electric car is recommended. Very satisfied with a stay experience.

Let’s talk about transportation first:
Take a taxi to the Quanzhou hotel and walk to the mansion in five or six minutes.
Let’s talk about the surroundings:
There are many small restaurants in the surrounding area. It is more than ten minutes away from West Street and the Confucian Temple, and about twenty minutes away from Kaiyuan Temple. You can walk in the alleys to see the history and appreciate the cultural heritage.
Detailed description of the mansion:
The service staff knows the check-in time before the guests check in, and turns on the electric heater in the room in advance to increase the indoor temperature. Good service 👍
The room is larger than expected. Although the window is a bit small, the seating area and work area are sufficient. Economical price👍
The furnishings in the public areas of the mansion basically retain the ancient home style, fully demonstrating the interactive integration of multiple cultures. Unique style👍
Let’s talk about the shortcomings:
There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room on the first floor. It was still raining in Quanzhou in early March, and people almost froze to death, but the mosquitoes were not dead🙄️
The temperature of the hot water was not quite high, and it was not very hot even after being left there for a long time. Because it was quite late, I did not contact the service staff. Maybe other rooms do not have this problem.
Cats can be more friendly😄

Wanran is a charming Minsu homestay nestled in a beautifully preserved 100-year-old house, surrounded by a walkable neighborhood filled with heritage shophouses, cozy cafes, local eateries, and even a shopping mall. It’s the perfect balance of old-world charm and modern convenience.
This family-run homestay — hosted by a lovely couple and their two children — offers a genuine and welcoming experience.
The guest room is a renovated part of the old home: clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the essentials.
Beyond the nostalgic architecture, what makes this place truly special is the tea room. It’s a hidden gem filled with rare and high-quality teas sourced from various regions. Guests are warmly invited to sit, sip, and chat — not just about tea, but also about culture, stories, and everyday life.
Even as a foreigner with only basic Chinese skills, I felt completely at ease spending time in the tea room, exchanging thoughts with the host. Language wasn’t a barrier at all — tea became our shared language.
This was my first time staying in a tea house, and it left me with beautiful memories. If you're looking for something authentic, relaxing, and deeply rooted in local life and tea culture, Wanran is a must.

AnlimThe accommodation is a room in a triple storey terrace house in a quiet area. It is in quite a central location but you need to walk about 7 mins from the main street to get to the house. The area is safe to walk in even when at night. There many food shops along the main street. You can also catch the white mini bus there. Our room was on the 2nd floor (Chinese 3rd floor). It was quite cold when we were there. There is no hot air conditioning. We were given a small heater. It kept the room warm but it couldn't dry the tiled flooring so the floor got messy from us walking in & out from the bathroom. Otherwise, the place is very clean. Toiletries & slippers provided. There is a washing machine on the top floor, free to use but no dryer. Our clothes had difficulty drying as the drying area is a room with closed windows. Shower area & toilet is together. There is a small room where you can hand wash your clothes if you want to buy I wouldn't advise that as drying is difficult. No lift. There is no fire escape since it is a private house. You need to contact the owner to inform him ahead of your date & time of arrival as he is not there all the time. He is friendly & helpful.

ZeederworldWe had a lovely one night stay Very helpful and friendly hosts who live in the adjoining building Location is perfect. In between West Street and Quanzhou Ancient City. About 20 to 30 mins walk to each direction.
The ginger duck dinner (10 mins walk) and taro fritter right at the back street of this mishu (both recommended by the host) were one of the best food throughout our Fujian trip. We appreciated the host allowing us to freeze our food and helped us arrange a driver to send us to Xiamen the next day. It's door to door at RMB70 per pax (if sharing the cab with others). Cheaper than didi + train + didi and less time consuming.
The room size is slightly on the smaller side but we don't mind as we were out all day. All the basic amenities needed are provided. Most important is its clean and comfortable.
As I booked using non-Chinese no and can't read Chinese, I did not receive notifications from host right after my Trip.com booking . We depended on Baidu map to guess the location after the taxi dropped us at the main road. Be prepared to walk 2 mins into small/back lane and to enter an unlock gate to enter the compound of 2/3 residential building cluster. A bit confusing for us but we managed to locate the minshu after 5 mins.
We wish we had more time for Quanzhou. Definitely worth at 2 nights. So much more to explore here.

Garry GoldsworthyThe hotel, staff and owners are truley amazing.
The hotel is ideally situated in the heart if Quangzhou midway between the high speed rail and airport and within walking diatance of most of the primary tourist sites. It is conveniently close to dozens of great restaurants around the corner where we found it easy to get an early breakfast or a late dinner.
The staff were incredibly helpful upon arrival and upgraded us from the queen room to a king room.
The hotel was initially a little hard to find as it is in the lane behind the retail shops in front where the DiDi driver dropoed us The sign is illuminated in Chinese and we were not sure where to go. Apart from that every thing is 5 star.
The bed was extemely comfortable and the room was spotless. The bathroom has a wonderful shower with conventional rain head and wand fixtures. The heated mirror is a very nice feature for after showering.
The owners takes great pride in their hotel. A traditional tea station is provided with local tea. We can't talk more highly of this Hotel. We have been travelling for the past 60 days and this was by far the best we stayed in.

雾与光的旅程
I had a pleasant stay at Shuyu Homestay during my time in Quanzhou. The location is very convenient, especially if you want to explore the old town area. Many attractions, local food spots, and small streets are within walking distance, which made it easy for me to move around and enjoy the city.
The room is clean and nice, just as shown in the photos on the listing. The photo that I shared below was taken before I checked out (not during check-in), and the room was still well maintained and tidy, which shows that the cleanliness standard here is quite good.
The service was also friendly and responsive. During my stay, I requested to upgrade to a queen-size room due to personal reasons and agreed to pay the difference in price. The staff handled my request smoothly and helped arrange the upgrade without any issues, which I really appreciated.
Overall, it was a comfortable stay with good service and a convenient location.

Even though I only stayed for one day, it left a great impression on me. First, the location is excellent, very close to the West Gate of Kaiyuan Temple, just 200 meters away, and the surrounding transportation is very convenient. Second, it has a 'winding path to a secluded spot' feel; from the room, you can see the West Pagoda up close and the East Pagoda in the distance, offering tranquility despite being in a bustling area. Finally, the owner's service was exceptional, not only providing detailed travel tips but also ensuring the room was clean and comfortable. All in all, it's a homestay worth revisiting.

KatleenBI had an amazing stay at this hostel! My private room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. But what really made the experience special was the great atmosphere. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making it easy to connect with other travelers. The common area downstairs is spacious, with a playful dog and cat roaming around, as well as games to enjoy. We ended up playing mahjong almost every night. The hostel also has a great location in the 1916 arts district, just a 15-minute walk from the old town. Highly recommended!

I went to Quanzhou with my friends and booked a three-bedroom homestay. The location is good, the room is big and very quiet. The bathroom is not very good, a little small, and it is inconvenient for two people to use it at the same time, one to take a shower and the other to blow dry their hair. After all, it is a bit inconvenient to have the toilet sink and the shower together for three rooms. Overall it is not bad, I recommend it.
