The room facilities were in good condition, the shower had plenty of hot water, and the cleanliness was meticulous, with even the corners being spotless. The environment was quiet and peaceful. The service was also thoughtful; they helped me carry my luggage into the room. I stayed here for two nights and had a very good rest. I'll definitely choose this hotel again! 🌟"

"Although the hotel is a bit old, the facilities inside aren't too dated. The front desk staff were very friendly and patient, answering all my questions. They even called to check on my stay and ask if I needed anything. The lobby staff proactively helped with luggage, always polite and professional. I was on the 19th floor this time, and the cleaning lady was very dedicated, with a great service attitude. She cleaned thoroughly and efficiently. She'd even greet us when we left and ask when would be a convenient time to clean. The hotel is next to the Wanda office building and Wanda Plaza, so getting a taxi is easy, just avoid rush hour to escape traffic. Wanda Plaza also has plenty of dining options. It's also close to attractions like Xijie, Shangxiahang, Yantaishan, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Theatre, and various museums, all just a short taxi ride away. The hotel breakfast was quite rich and tasty, and items were replenished quickly. Staff were diligent in clearing tables. There's a takeaway locker in a corner of the hotel lobby, so you don't have to go out in the scorching heat, and there are even robots that deliver food to your room – very convenient! The toiletries left my skin feeling hydrated and were pleasant to use. For me personally, the mattress was a bit too soft, and the pillows weren't very comfortable to sleep on as they easily flattened and lost shape. The soundproofing wasn't great; even on a high floor, I could hear traffic and music from the commercial area, not to mention noise within the hotel. Laundry costs extra, and they charge per item for different types of clothing."

Hotel near Jinjiang Wanda Plaza/Wudianshi Traditional Blocks,Jinjiang
"This hotel definitely doesn't meet five-star standards. The room was practically empty, just a coffee table, a chair, and the bed – that's it. When we asked for an extra chair, they brought a folding one, but there was no sofa, no proper desk… nothing else. What truly surprised me was how hot the room was. My husband was sweating profusely, thinking the AC wasn't strong enough. Turns out, when we finally got through to reception (side note: the phone was initially hard to connect, and the QR code for hotel services in the room was invalid – it felt like the hotel was on its last legs, honestly), the staff admitted the air conditioning wasn't even on! This is supposed to be a five-star hotel! They only agreed to turn it on after we insisted. My guess is they keep it off everywhere and only activate it for specific rooms when guests complain, all to save money and cut corners. The tea set in the room was shoddy – cheap enamel mugs you'd find on the street for a couple of bucks, and disposable cups. Again, I was shocked. There wasn't even any welcome fruit. Yet, the bathroom was huge and had a big bathtub. The luxurious size of the bathroom and the sparse, basic amenities in the bedroom created a bizarre contrast! They absolutely refused to add a children's meal to breakfast. It seems breakfast is their only real revenue stream. I heard it's quite lavish, though not much meat, and costs around 180 per person? The owner clearly has a strong grasp on saving money and maximizing profit; I have to admire that! So, do I recommend it? You decide for yourself. To be honest, I'm not exaggerating anything. I wonder if many other reviews are fake, but mine certainly isn't! 🤷"

"Traveling with family during Chinese New Year, we paid less than 700 RMB per night per room, which is usually under 300 RMB. The hotel is located in a small alley, and the surrounding area isn't the cleanest. However, the hotel itself was quite clean, and the service was decent. The breakfast, though, was really disappointing. They only had oranges and cherry tomatoes, and by 8:30 AM, many items were already gone. Due to the heavy traffic during the holiday, there weren't many dining options around the hotel. We couldn't find any electric scooters for rent and the hotel was right next to a gas station, so we ended up taking a taxi to West Street. The location is in the central area of Quanzhou, making it very convenient to visit tourist attractions."

"Staying at the Southern French Garden B&B in Quanzhou was an absolute delight! 🌿 The entire French courtyard is lush with greenery, and the outdoor pool is simply the soul of the place. I put on a light dress and easily captured that French cinematic feel. In the evening, relaxing under the warm courtyard lights was pure bliss – the perfect holiday chill vibe. For those coming to take photos, I'd suggest bringing several outfits, as every corner of this place is incredibly photogenic, and the rooms are beautiful too! 🤩 It's very close to West Street and the East and West Pagodas, making it super convenient for exploring the ancient city! The beds are really comfortable and soft, and the service was excellent; they helped me immediately with anything I needed 😊. My only slight disappointment was that it rained during my visit, so I couldn't take photos by the pool. However, the interior spaces that the owner designed are also stunning, so I still managed to get some great shots even on a rainy day. The owner said it's beautiful when it's sunny, so I'll definitely have to come back and see it then!"

Hotel near Jiangnan New Area,Quanzhou
Crowne Plaza Quanzhou Riverview is located in Licheng Jiangnan New District, adjacent to the beautiful Jinjiang River, out of the bustling ancient city new area, into the "riverside" tranquility. Surrounded by commercial complexes, the hotel is easily accessible for business offices and leisure shopping. The hotel is ideally located 4.5 km from Quanzhou Railway Station and 15.5 km from Jinjiang International Airport. The hotel has a total of 368 rooms and serviced apartments, 4 restaurants and a lobby lounge. With a comfortable living and parking atmosphere, a full range of catering, conference and entertainment facilities, it is the ideal choice for your stylish travel and business travel.

"Whenever I visit Quanzhou, I usually stay at the Crowne Plaza Riverside, which I believe has the largest rooms in Quanzhou. InterContinental hotels generally offer good quality and highly competent staff. I particularly love the apartment suites – they come with a kitchen, living room, and a long dining table. The room layout is well-organized, and the Jinjiang River flows right outside the window. The hotel is conveniently located 15 minutes from Quanzhou Station, less than 10 minutes from Licheng Wanda, and 10 minutes from Huansu Karting (one of Quanzhou's two major outdoor karting tracks). The hotel also offers daily intangible cultural heritage activities for children, such as puppet shows and sugar painting. This time, we also received complimentary set meals for two daily at the Cai Feng Lou on the second floor. The ginger duck was quite authentic, and the vinegar-marinated pork was delicious. The 32nd-floor lounge has a lovely ambiance, equipped with binoculars and a reading corner, perfect for a relaxing afternoon enjoying the scenery. Service is a highlight of InterContinental. You can see mid-level managers actively involved, and their English is excellent. I want to especially thank our front desk attendant, Xiao Yu, for his service this time. He's a cheerful, handsome, and outgoing young man, as warm as a younger brother next door, always thoughtful and considerate of guests. My parents were also very satisfied with their dining experience at the hotel. I also ran into Xiao Cai from the concierge team. He helped us with a taxi during our stay last Chinese New Year. It's been several months, but he still recognized us. The manager and staff at Cai Feng Lou were also humble and attentive, even helping us book a private room for our next meal. I often travel to different cities and experience various hotels. But when it comes to loyalty, I always choose InterContinental hotels. Their design style is grand yet simple, and their service is warm and friendly, making them well worth repeat visits."

The breakfast offers a wide variety of options and tastes pretty good. The bathroom has great water pressure, and all the toiletries you need are provided, so showering is a breeze. The front desk staff, both male and female, are really friendly and helpful. If you order takeout, a robot delivers it to your room! There's a laundry room on the first floor, and they'll even bring your clean clothes up to your room. This hotel is definitely a great choice for travelers."

The service here is absolutely amazing! The staff are so warm, thoughtful, and incredibly patient with their explanations. When we checked in, they even gave us a hand-drawn map and went through all the routes, potential pitfalls, and must-see spots. Their recommendations for food and activities were absolute gems – we followed their advice for mochi, mung bean cakes, and the Arts and Crafts Cooperative, and everything was spot-on, way better than anything we could have found doing our own research! They were always ready to help and proactively offered assistance, treating us like friends the whole time. It felt even warmer and more personalized than a five-star hotel. Traveling with my mom was completely stress-free; this guesthouse provided an incredible sense of security and convenience. If you're coming to Quanzhou, this is definitely the place to stay. I'll absolutely be back for a second visit, and I highly recommend it to all my friends!

Five-star recommendation for Quanzhou Lushih Homestay, the most delightful stay of my Quanzhou trip! The location is absolutely perfect, tucked away in a small alley off West Street. It's a two or three-minute walk directly to the East and West Pagodas of Kaiyuan Temple, and stepping out, you're surrounded by authentic local snacks. It's a rare find—peaceful amidst the hustle and bustle; closing the courtyard gate completely shields you from the street noise. Converted from a standalone Southern Fujian courtyard, the design is gentle yet refined. Lush greenery fills the small courtyard with an amazing atmosphere. The rooftop terrace is a hidden gem for photos, offering a 270-degree direct view of the twin pagodas. You can watch the sunset in the evening and capture stunning shots of the ancient city lights at night. The room was impeccably clean, the latex mattress was soft and comfortable for a good night's sleep. Smart toilet, hot water, and toiletries were all well-equipped, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring an undisturbed night's rest. The butler service was meticulous and heartwarming. Upon check-in, we received a hand-drawn guide to the ancient city's hidden gems, along with recommendations for local secret eateries, and any requests were met with super-fast responses. The common areas are elegantly decorated, with a tea corner, a small intangible cultural heritage exhibition hall, and you can even experience writing wax-sealed letters to your future self—thoughtful details are everywhere. It's a godsend for self-driving tourists, as it comes with an underground parking lot, directly solving the parking problem in the old city. Breakfast features local old-brand mianxian hu (vermicelli paste) with vinegar-marinated pork, and traditional pastries are complimentary for afternoon tea. The value for money is exceptional, suitable for couples, girlfriends, and families alike. I will definitely stay at Lushih again on my next visit to Quanzhou!

I rarely say this on my reviews, but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this Minsu. When I come back to Quanzhou for another family holiday, I will book this place again. Firstly, the location: It is unbeatable. It is near enough to be in the midst of the action in Quanzhou (near the walking street, eateries, restaurants, shopping etc etc), yet very quiet for us to enjoy a good night’s rest, or a good conversation at night over tea. Second, the nice balance between an authentic cultural home and modernism. We had the entire Minsu to ourselves, 6 rooms in total. Renovated about 3-4 years ago, the Minsu gave us the experience of living in an authentic Chinese inn, yet the amenities were modern….comfortable beds, modern toilets, refrigerators available etc….The courtyards were also beautiful. The entire Minsu was tastefully done…..plus it was spotlessly clean. Thirdly, the owners. They were so friendly and helpful. They met us at the drop off point, and brought us to the Minsu when we checked in, helping to move some of our luggages (and they did the same thing when we checked out). They went out of their way to help purchase traditional puppet show (木偶) tickets (at a small discount somemore). After we checked out, my son left his hoodie in the room. The owners assisted to courier the jacket to the next city we were heading to (we were already in the train at that time). And lastly, every morning and every night, either Mr Du, his son or his daughter in law would invite us to join them for tea. They would then proceed to serve tea the traditional way, while having a conversation with us. They also taught us certain traditions, protocols and rules when serving tea. They have a cat called TangYuan (汤圆), in which the kids in the family enjoyed playing with. The only thing to note is that public transport (via taxis and buses) only can drop you off at a spot about 5min walk away. Also, they provide disposable towels, not the regular towels given at hotels. If it is an issue, just bring your own towels. Otherwise, this place deserves 5 out of 5 stars.

Cleanliness: The room cleanliness was excellent. I'm a bit of a clean freak, but apart from some glue marks and traces on the walls, everything else was fine. No dust or hair at all. I can honestly say it's the cleanest room I've stayed in during my many trips to Quanzhou. I've been to Quanzhou many times and stayed in numerous places, but your cleanliness is truly impeccable – at least within the guest rooms. However, the corridor from the elevator to the room had an indescribable odor (2nd floor, it was slightly better when I moved to the 3rd floor). It smelled like a stale, stuffy scent combined with an air freshener, creating a strange, hard-to-describe smell, possibly due to lack of ventilation for too long. I'd recommend prioritizing ventilation. But this was the first time I was assigned a room that hadn't been fully cleaned – there was still one pillow on the bed without a pillowcase, and I wasn't informed. Only after I asked did the staff member tell me they were short on pillowcases that day. I could have waited, so I found it a bit puzzling. Facilities: The room lighting wasn't great. The curtain control switch was a bit odd; I couldn't see the curtain's status when I pressed the switch. I love bright rooms, but no matter how I pressed the buttons, I couldn't just close the sheer curtain. In the end, I had to close both. On the 2nd floor, the window view was entirely a concrete wall, and on the 3rd floor, it was someone's balcony. Next time, it would be better to have the sheer curtain drawn, as seeing a concrete wall immediately upon entering isn't a good impression. I know residential buildings are close in Quanzhou, but this could definitely be optimized. Soundproofing was poor, truly. At 2 AM, just as I was getting sleepy and about to go to bed, I heard the sound of a faucet turning on next door, and it wasn't quiet. It felt like it was right next to my head. The door was heavy, making me think the soundproofing would be good, but it wasn't. I could clearly hear when the neighbors left and what they were saying. Sleeping earplugs: These would be great to have in the room. There was plenty of very hot water, and the toilet worked well. These are excellent advantages of the room. The bed was firm, which I really liked. The projector focus could be adjusted a bit more as it was a little blurry. Having a subscription to TV channels was great; I enjoyed watching shows. Environment: It's very close to Zhongshan Middle Road, and the location is the best I've stayed in so far. I feel it's even better than Lushu. I really like Huaxiang, so no complaints there. Service: I'd like to commend the staff member; her attitude was excellent. The afternoon tea drinks were also delicious, and the scones were warm, fragrant, and very tasty. Thumbs up. The scones actually helped to offset my annoyance about discovering the missing pillowcase. I stayed up late, hoping to sleep in a bit later, but the soundproofing was truly bad. Regarding the front desk staff, I only saw them during check-in and check-out; I didn't encounter them at other times. Overall, it could be optimized further, but everything else was okay.

Grand Honor Hotel

Grand Honor Hotel is definitely the best hotel in Shishi, but it’s not quite the same level as a luxury hotel in a bigger city. Generally the hotel is clean, but it’s the little things that I noticed, ie when I checked in, there were some sweet wrappers next to the bowl of sweets that weren’t cleared away. That said, the sense of space is evident in the hotel lobby, lifts, corridors and most importantly, the hotel rooms. Rooms are very spacious and well-designed, although the closet area can definitely do with brighter lights. Most amenities are provided but what put me off is that many items that would have been free in other hotels at this price-range aren’t free at Grand Honor. There is a Chinese tea set on the table and usually the loose leaf tea is provided for free but it cost ¥15 per packet. Honestly it’s not a lot of money for us, but on the flip side, surely the hotel can provide a bag of tea leaves for their guests. There are the standard free single-use packet tea in the drawer so at least there’s that. In-room slippers are not to be taken out; they’d charge you if you do - and that’s fine, but the slippers are actually really uncomfortable to wear. The small plate of fruits (banana, plum and mandarin) given at 5pm every day is a nice touch. The hotel breakfast is probably the highlight. Set on the 22nd floor with panoramic views of the city, breakfast is very enjoyable. The food quality is pretty good, but a real surprise here is the sheer diversity of food. The bread selection alone has 5-6 choices (pastries, brioche, baguette, square toast, etc), the cooked food section is almost endless (and there’s cooked Chinese vegetables! 👏🏾) and then there’s the fruit selection at the end too. My only gripe is that the coffee machine is a bit slow, and there’s only one machine so there can be a wait for coffee. Location of the hotel is a little odd; good restaurants and the main mall is about 15 mins’ walk away. There aren’t many good shops to wander around nearby. Generally, this is a solid hotel for this price point. Excellent service with very fast food delivery (using the ubiquitous delivery robots) and friendly front desk staff.

Time flies when you're having fun, and my trip to this thousand-year-old Quanzhou city has come to an end. What I'll remember most is choosing 2208 Inn, which boasts a fantastic location on the busiest street in Quanzhou's city center. The West Gate of the famous Kaiyuan Temple is just across the road from the inn. From my room at the inn, I could open the window and gaze at the beautiful night silhouette of Quanxi Hall on West Street. I could also hear the bustling crowds of West Street from outside my window. Day or night, the ancient city's streets are lined with a dazzling array of local snacks and delicacies – think Mianxian paste, Ginger Duck, Fujianese crispy pork, with famous eateries right next door. If you want a taste, just head downstairs; they're just a few steps away. Xunpu flower-wearing shops are also everywhere. If you want to try wearing the flowers, just go downstairs, and you can instantly transform into a beautiful flower-wearing girl. What brought me the most joy was the genuine conversations I had with the inn staff every time I returned. The front desk's handsome and dedicated customer service representative, the proprietress's beautiful smile, and the cleaning auntie's meticulousness and hard work all exemplify the inn's warm and thoughtful hospitality. Thank you all for giving me such wonderful memories of the ancient city. It makes me recall: in this thousand-year-old city, in this little alley corner, I unexpectedly encountered your vibrant, almost divine, warmth and vitality. It makes me miss the moment the pigeons flew past the Twin Pagodas of Kaiyuan Temple in the morning, the fragrant misty aroma of Tieguanyin tea in an old teahouse in the afternoon, and the golden glow of the sunset over Jinjiang River. Encounters are always brief! I've already made a promise with you – if I ever come to Quanzhou again, I will undoubtedly choose 2208 Inn without hesitation. As the year draws to a close and a new one begins, I wish the inn even greater prosperity and a booming year ahead!

The location is excellent, both quiet and convenient. It only takes about 15 minutes by taxi to get to any attractions or restaurants. The room design is well-thought-out and the size is just right. Downstairs, there's a supermarket and various eateries. Plus, a few minutes' walk away, there's a well-established noodle paste and dessert shop that offers bigger portions and better taste than those found near tourist spots.

This hostel is absolutely fantastic! Not only does it have a great vibe, excellent facilities, and top-notch service, but you can also pet cats and dogs and enjoy hot meals. It's super close to all the main attractions, and it's even located in a cool creative park that's fun to explore. Seriously, just come! It's perfect for finding travel buddies, chatting with new friends, eating and drinking, watching movies, playing pool – everything is relaxed and easygoing!

I went to Quanzhou with my friends and booked a three-bedroom homestay. The location is good, the room is big and very quiet. The bathroom is not very good, a little small, and it is inconvenient for two people to use it at the same time, one to take a shower and the other to blow dry their hair. After all, it is a bit inconvenient to have the toilet sink and the shower together for three rooms. Overall it is not bad, I recommend it.
