Best St. Louis County Hotels

"First the positives - the staff was very nice and the breakfast was okay. Now the rest of it. My room was not cleaned the entire time I was there. Apparently, even if you want your bed made, you must request it each day. It was written on one of the many pieces of paper they gave me and I missed it - my bad. Now, let's talk about the rooms. This was one of the worst rooms I've ever been in. I had booked a queen room and when I checked in, I was told I was upgraded to a king suite. They put me in a king handicapped room. It had a bathroom, a bed, 2 nightstands, a dresser and a chair. There was no table and there was no desk. I had to work while I was there and had no place to put my computer. Necessity is the mother of invention so I ended up putting my computer on the ironing board which I set-up next the only chair in the room. Speaking of work, the internet was down all of one of the days I was there. Additionally, at least one of the elevators wasn't working every day. I used the pool and it was very unpleasant. It looked like it hadn't been updated in decades and most of the tile trim was missing. The ”beach towels” they provided were more like hand towels. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone - ever again. Stay away - far away."

"Very clean and spacious. The quality of the Holiday Inn. Appraised, it is very qualified here. The most important thing is that there is an extra table just in the middle of the bed, a snack. The indoor lighting is also very accustomed and soft."

"Due to the somewhat industrial location, I did not have high expectations for this place. But I have been pleasantly surprised. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are very clean and well stocked. They are in the middle of renovations, and my room is one of the renovated ones. Very comfortable and quiet."

"No frills hotel. Breakfast was very subpar. They seemed understaffed and trash was overflowing during the breakfast rush while food was coming out burnt. The bathrooms are so small that only one person can fit in there making it hard for families with young children."

"During the time of my stay, I to kill a roach, let’s start there. The roach cane from behind the dresser that the TV stands on. Also I wasn’t able to access the WiFi until the second day I was there. I only had 1 face towel, but I’m not sure if that’s policy or not, I was able to get more. Lastly, the sheet was supposed to be white. Instead, it was almost grey. I did take it off the bed and just used the comforter. The girl who checked me in at the front desk, was as helpful as she could be and was pleasant. "

"This hotel could be so much more. The location is amazing, right in downtown Clayton. But the rooms we had were strictly ”meh”. One had no window and smelled faintly of sewage. The other had windows and was passable. The building is old and quaint, but it feels like nobody has bothered to put the thought, energy or money into making this a stand-out hotel. It's a shame."
