"I spent a great and safe weekend in this hotel! The room was wonderful and very spacious! I even settled a little earlier, which is very pleased! I strongly advise this place when Simons Town is indoors."

"Hotel is centrally located with shops and shopping. It faces directly to the sea which is highly recommended to stay by the sea than mountain view. Just mins from boulder beach for penguins!!! Room was clean and good shower pressure. Thanks for the friendly service too!"

"Beautiful old hotel with wood finishes. You get a lot for the price. Maybe just have a torch available in the rooms. It was exceptionally dark when the lights went off. "

This hotel is suitable for self-driving tours, the location is excellent, facing the sea, although there are not many rooms, but the home is warm, the service is good, and the breakfast is good. The key is that it is very close to the place to see the penguins. You can drive for 5 minutes and walk for 2 kilometers."

"This bed and breakfast is in the ideal location to visit Simon’s town and its coastline however the actual set up of the bed and breakfast is a huge let down. We arrived to find our room was not ready, once it was the place still looked unkempt, there was a bucket in the bath, the furniture had not been returned to its original locations well and the complimentary items seemed used. On our second night there was load shedding a common occurrence however there seemed to be no precautionary measures taken and we had to use our phone lights to climb the three flights of stairs to our room only to find the rechargeable light (obviously for such occasions) had no batteries and was therefore useless. As South African citizens we fully understand the uncertainty of power but for the cost and normal clientele of this accommodation we really expected there to be more in place. The meal times had been adjusted for the convenience of the staff who were on the premises compared to the welcome sheet details we received on arrival. The whole place seemed to be being run by support staff with no obvious manager on site for the three days we were there (we stayed over a weekend which I would assume to be a prime time) There is about 4 parking sports in front of the building but they were not being used to their full potential and often we had to park a little further away. Overall the location was the main positive. Considering the price we would have hoped to have better amenities and hope that the profile for this accommodation can be amended as there are no pools on the property unlike what the description had lead us to believe. Luckily the charm of Simon’s town and the beaches made up for the serious lack of attention to detail and luxury you would assume a place this price and in this location would have. 3/10 would probably not go there again."

"The service was okay - one lady told us that we couldn’t get Ubers or takeaways but we managed to get both fine! Load-shedding was at stage 4 but wifi worked well from the bedroom, even during blackouts. Room was small but did the job! Good location for seeing the penguins and enjoying Simon Town…"
