Although the hotel is aged, there is no musky smell in the room we stayed in. Perhaps the walls can be updated or re-painted as they begin to show some wears. The location is very ideal, with the metro line just around the corner. The hotel staff are very professional in their work.

The room was very clean, and the service was excellent. The location is absolutely superb, right by The Bund, with The Peace Hotel just next door. It's truly a prime and sought-after area. We were especially grateful that the hotel provided a complimentary breakfast for our child, and the breakfast itself was delicious. Unlimited bottled water was also available, and guests could help themselves. The in-room toiletries were from Herborist, which was a very nice touch.

This hotel boasts an excellent location in Shanghai. It's just a 10-minute walk to Nanjing Road and conveniently located mere meters from the subway station. The front desk service was outstanding, and complimentary drinks were offered in the lobby. The rooms are spacious and feature smart toilets. A highlight was the incredible water pressure in the shower – truly like a powerful waterfall! I initially booked for one night, but found the environment so pleasant that I extended my stay for another. Highly recommended!

First time staying here, & can't at all fault it for its location! Very short walk to all the bund attractions, & not too far from the metro station. The building & surrounding area are very art deco, which feels specifically Shanghai. In fact, I'm fairly sure I saw it in a movie recently. Rooms are nothing to write home about, but absolutely acceptable given the price compared to other Shanghai hotels. Clean, all the needed amenities. Good central place to get your head down at quite a low price.

Very nice hotel, good value for money. Room is exactly as in the promo photos, beautiful decoration, exceptionally clean, most amenities available in the room. Shanghai is doing their best to use less plastic, so it prohibits hotels to mass use disposable toothbrushes and razors. If you need it, you can ask at the reception, but these items are not in the room by default. Staff is polite, friendly and helpful, they will allow you to check in early, if there are clean rooms your type (I arrived about an hour and a half before official check-in time and had no problem getting a room). They also provide free luggage storage. Hotel is located in a quiet residential area, not close to main attractions, so the travelers who came to experience nightlife or see “cool Shanghai” might be disappointed. However, the metro station is literally in a 2-minute walk distance from hotel and it will take you about 10-15 minutes to get to The Bund or Nanjing Road. 5-7 minutes walk from hotel is a large shopping mall with various popular brands and a good food court. There’re also few local restaurants, a starbucks and couple of convenience stores at a walking distance from hotel. Be aware, that the rooms are being cleaned from early morning and if you do not put “do not disturb” sign outside your room door, the cleaning staff start checking on you from about 8 a.m.

After a thorough search, I finally settled on this hotel, and I'm very pleased with my choice. The location is excellent, with direct access from Hongqiao via the elevated highway. The hotel is housed in a century-old building and even features a small memorial dedicated to its architect, László Hudec. Inside, you'll find a model of the hotel and other exhibits showcasing his famous works, such as the renowned Wukang Mansion. Staying in such a historic building truly allows you to better appreciate Shanghai's rich history and culture. Facilities: The bedding was very comfortable, and the pillows were excellent – I slept through the night without any neck pain. Ambiance: Despite being on a main street, it was surprisingly quiet. However, I didn't spot any convenience stores in the immediate vicinity. Summer Welcome Pack: We received two bottles of water, a fan, a luggage tag, and a box of mini building blocks – quite a fun and thoughtful touch! Breakfast was satisfactory. Overall, there's still some room for improvement, but considering the price, it offers good value.

The hotel lobby is very grand, the decoration is very nice, the service is very meticulous, and every aspect is taken into consideration. The environment and sanitation are very good. The front desk staff is also very enthusiastic, the service is super good, the check-in is fast, the room has floor-to-ceiling windows, the breakfast is also very rich, and the stay is very comfortable. I recently stayed at the JinJiang Metropolo Hua Ting Guest House and had an overall enjoyable experience. The hotel offers a nice blend of traditional Chinese charm with modern conveniences. The architecture and décor create a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a great place to unwind after a long day. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the basic amenities needed for a relaxing stay. However, the room lacked a minibar, which would have been a nice addition. The bed was comfortable, and the housekeeping staff did a great job of keeping everything tidy throughout my stay. One of the standout features of this hotel is its convenient location, with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or requests. Breakfast offered a decent selection of both Chinese and Western options, though it could be improved with a bit more variety. Overall, JinJiang Metropolo Hua Ting Guest House is a good option for travelers looking for a comfortable stay with a touch of traditional ambiance. I would consider staying here again on my next visit!

The hotel was really nice though it was a bit far from the metro. It was clean and the bed was comfy. My only concern was the staff folded the edge of the front page of my passport when he tried to make copies and wasn't sorry about it. It could be an accident but still hotel staff should be aware how sensitive the bio-page of some passports are. Any crease, clip or fold can be considered damaged and useless.

the hotel was under renovation. I was told by the staff that it is at the rooftop but I don't understand why he still put us at the highest level despite they are ample of rooms at the lower level. I have changed the room for 2 times: the first room there was a very smoke smell even though it is a non smoking room, and I only got the room that satisfied me when I make the 2nd changes. The location is very near to the metro station, about 2 mins walk but the metro line itself is not a common line so you have to make a few interchange, which I feel it is a little inconvenient to me. Staffs are not as friendly as the Atour I stayed in Hangzhou.
