Jinjiang Hotels in Shanghai

It’s my first stay @ Jianguo Shanghai Hotel. Jianguo Shanghai Hotel is located at the busy Xujiahui business district of Shanghai. Its surroundings are full of vibrancy with the Xujiahui station [Line 1, Line 9 and Line 11] close to the hotel. The hotel facilities are modern & up to date. The beds are huge and very comfortable. The sofa in the hotel room is an added bonus. Even the toilet amenities are provided for the guests. Buffet breakfast @ Jianguo Shanghai Hotel is a delight! There is a wide selection of food which are satisfying to the taste buds. A great place to stay in Shanghai for sure! Will surely make a comeback when I visit Shanghai the next time! YAY!

Location, location, location. Close to everything, like… EVERYTHING. I don’t think you can get a better location than this one in Shanghai. About hotel: this feels premium, it’s old, you can feel the history in this place, it’s actually an iconic place in Shanghai. Room: when I entered in the room my first thought was “Nixon was here”, you’re just feeling like in a premium hotel from ‘70s. But there is also a big LCD, and the toilet is next gen, with leds and everything, opens itself when close by and so on. Breakfast: has pretty much everything, asian and continental. Shanghai was my last place in China and after wandering in various places I was longing after a good continental breakfast; funny thing is that I started to prefer also Asian food in the morning lol; fish dumplings are really good here tbh.

This hotel is perfect if you are looking for a gateway from the busy city life with your family, friends or as a couple. As soon as I walked through the entrance I exclaimed “Wow” and “Wow” again when I walked into the apartment we booked. Everyone is super helpful, they cater to the needs you have and as a mom traveling with a baby I needed a few things. Thank you for helping me make this Birthday stay extra special by decorating the living room, writing a card and getting us a cake all at no extra cost. The apartment was huge, super spacious! On the bed it was me the baby and my friend and we still had space, the bathroom was very clean and had everything you’d need. If you order online a robot delivers your food to your room door. So lovely! We almost missed breakfast on one morning and we called for room service, they brought us everything we asked for even though it was at short notice. I’d go there again if it wasn’t so far.

First I have to say that in general the reception staff and general manager are friendly and try to be helpful. Also the cleaning staff do their basic job and the hotel has some amenities and style to it. However, this hotel has not been properly maintained by the owners. You can see the history of the hotel by only looking at the carpets in the rooms, which are dirty, smelly and simply need to be professionally cleaned - or exchanged completely. The hotel appearantly doesn’t enforce the non-smoking policy, since you can smell smoke almost everywhere in the floors and rooms. The total dealbreaker for me was the fact that the aircons in the rooms either emitted a horrible smell, or they didn’t cool down properly, the ACs need to be cleaned and fixed desperately. During my 3 night stay it never got colder than 24C in any of the rooms they assigned to me, even at night when it was only 28C outside. During day temperatures went up much higher. Same issues persisted in every room. I have stayed in many other hotels in China with lower categories than 5 stars and never had such an experience before. Fortunately, the trip.com support managed to cancel the remaining 4 nights of my stay for me, thank you very much.

I have stayed in this hotel multiple times and always recommend it to my friends who visit Shanghai. The location is good, the breakfast selection is very good, and the staff is helpful and friendly. During this trip, my friend left her eyeglasses in a didi, and the didi customer service was less helpful than normal. The concierge on Sunday morning called the driver, spoke to him at length, and arranged for him to deliver the eyeglasses to the hotel.

Had to getting the bedding changed as it smelt of sweat. Staff was friendly and changed it when requested. Hotel is a bit dated but is in a great location. Easy access to shops, restaurants and the metro. Loads of restaurants within walking distance

The hotel stay was excellent, the service level exceeded expectations, the room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were comprehensive and advanced, making guests feel comfortable. The breakfast was abundant and delicious, ensuring a pleasant mood for the day. In short, this was a very satisfying accommodation experience and is highly recommended!

I was quite satisfied with the hotel I stayed at last time, so I booked this one this time. It's the best value for money! It's located next to the Longchang Road subway station, so it's convenient for travel. The hotel service is still so good, from the concierge in the lobby to the front desk to the guest rooms, the staff are very enthusiastic and serious. Although the room is old Chinese style, it has all the necessary facilities. The location and price are really good! I didn't experience the breakfast, after all, the surrounding area is relatively convenient, and there is a small supermarket downstairs,
