Satisfactory accommodation. Newly renovated hotel and apartment. I stayed in an apartment, a one-bedroom suite, which was convenient and comfortable. When I checked in, the staff was warm and polite. I would like to praise them and thank them.
You need to swipe your room card to go upstairs, which is safe.
The big bed is not too hard or too soft. Although the bathroom is not separated into three parts, there is a door in the shower room. The privacy is good. The toiletries (4-piece set) are also said to be branded, smell good and easy to use.
The quality of bathrobes and slippers is very good, and the aunt changes them every day. Impeccable.
There is a washing machine with drying in the outer room, and drinks are also provided in the refrigerator. Good reviews!!!
The waiter is warm and thoughtful. I would like to express my sincere gratitude here!!!
The breakfast is also very rich. The homemade yogurt is delicious.
It is a little far from Yishan Subway Station. But walking is within an acceptable range. There is a Guangqi City at Yishan Station, with supermarkets and restaurants. Life around is also very convenient.
Disadvantages:
1. The floor is low, and the fan outside the window is a bit noisy, not obvious during the day, but a little more obvious at night.
2. The hot water in the bathroom is not strong enough (I personally like a large amount of water)

Wendy and the entire staff (especially Staff Member 002!) went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. As an overseas family with two young children, we truly appreciated their kindness and support. They provided excellent recommendations for local dining, helped us navigate the area, and ensured we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable trip. Their hospitality made a big difference—thank you!

Very pleasant hotel, and very good room service and cleaning staff (I was on the 7th floor). I've stayed at this hotel several times. Good gym, pool, and sauna. The location is good, close to Subway station Jiaotong University. In the pedestrian zone nearby, you’ll find restaurants, cafes, bakeries, etc. (see photos).

Location: Located in the heart of Xujiahui, the neighborhood is packed with shops and is also surrounded by major shopping malls. The location is truly excellent!
Cleanliness: The home is decorated in a white palette with dark furniture, creating a simple and comfortable atmosphere. The rooms are spacious enough.
Amenities: Completely equipped, including not only toiletries but also kitchenware, making cooking a breeze.
Service: A special thank you to the cleaning lady, who was polite and dedicated! The front desk was unmanned, so you had to call or WeChat and wait for a staff member to arrive. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The Jinglai Hotel is located in Shanghai's Xujiahui District, a vibrant area with a distinctly old Shanghai vibe, and is just about 100 meters from Xujiahui Metro Station. On-site parking is convenient, and though a fee applies (around 19 RMB/day), it's considered very affordable for Shanghai. While some might find it unusual for hotels to charge for guest parking (a thought I shared on my first Shanghai visit), it's quite common in the 'Magic City' where different rules often apply. Rooms are compact, but the bedding is great and the mattress very comfortable. The front desk staff were proactive and helpful, even offering advice to save money. Breakfast was good and offered a decent variety. Overall, it offers excellent value for money. Additionally, the Jingyan Shanghai restaurant on the second floor serves delicious and reasonably priced local cuisine, especially the Yan Du Xian (salted pork and bamboo shoot soup), which was exceptionally tasty. Next time I visit Shanghai, I'll definitely stay at Jinglai again and dine at Jingyan!

We were in town for a concert with my child, and the hotel staff proactively called us beforehand to confirm our check-in details. We arrived at the hotel around 11 PM, and the front desk staff were incredibly quick with the check-in process, which was a huge relief after a long day of travel!
Moving on to the room, we had a river view room this time. It was quite spacious and impeccably clean. For example, the electric kettle was spotless, inside and out – no water stains whatsoever. This really matters to someone like me who's a bit particular about cleanliness. The bedding was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect, offering just the right amount of support without being too soft.
Finally, I have to give a special shout-out to the breakfast. I honestly didn't have high expectations, but the breakfast at MGM Shanghai truly blew me away! Unlike the standard, often unremarkable breakfasts at many star hotels, the selection here was incredibly rich and diverse. They had a live noodle station (the scallion oil noodles are a must-try!), freshly prepared seafood congee, and preserved egg and lean pork congee – all tasting absolutely delicious. Especially when compared to another five-star hotel we stayed at the very next day, even my daughter couldn't help but exclaim, 'I really miss MGM's breakfast!'

Absolutely fantastic! I stayed here for a concert, and everything was great. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful, even advising on the fastest route to the venue. Amenities were always replenished promptly, and how cool is this – food deliveries were brought up by a little robot! I had such a pleasant experience. The biggest highlight for me was its unbeatable proximity to the stadium – super convenient! I will definitely be staying here again. Oh, and as a lovely gesture, the front desk gave me a complimentary bottle of water when I checked out, which was perfect for my journey.

The room was clean, except for some details like under the bed, where it was full of dust. The closet is small for two people to share and the space available for storing clothes/luggage is in general tiny.
Location of the hotel is nice, as it lies in a quite walkable area, and by foot you can reach the Huaihai Road (good for shopping) in 35m. Metro line 9 is a 15m walk.
The service was okay. The staff at the reception did not speak English and they offered no help or guidance about the city: quite essential service. Their attitude was in general detached and seemed quite un-open to communicating. Also, after leaving the room and realizing there were still some clothes left inside, I tried to report it to the reception and they just sent me to the room to check without even communicating to the cleaning service. It ended up that my clothes were not in the room anymore and the staff offered no further help, so I left without these clothes.
Also, i had explicitly booked a room with “City View” and I was placed in room 1402 with one very dirty window - out of 2 windows available to enjoy the view. After asking to clean it, they made an unsuccessful attempt and then just left me with the dirty window without any kind of compensation. I was only offered to switch to another room in a lower floor and with no city view, which made no sense considering I had paid more specifically to have a room with “City View”.
Breakfast is decent and offers a good variety of food.
The staff is understanding if a host is taking few minutes past closing time to finish the food. The staff at the breakfast floor is also very nice and friendly.
The main perk of the hotel for me was the cafè at the hall, where a very friendly girl employee works. She was very nice and gave me and my girlfriend some unique advice on places to visit in the city. She was of course also making extremely good flat white and coffee.
Balancing everything out though, if was to come back to Shanghai, I would probably choose a different hotel.

Facilities: New and well-maintained. A washing machine and dryer are available, and complimentary bottled water is offered for self-service.
Cleanliness: Spotless, with prompt housekeeping.
Location: Excellent. It's very close to Xujiahui Metro Station, surrounded by numerous restaurants and tourist attractions.
Service: Warm and thoughtful. When a noisy guest next door disturbed me (I'm sensitive to noise), they promptly found another room for me to rest. Their timely and efficient problem-solving is highly commendable.
I will definitely choose Tianping Hotel again on my next trip to Shanghai!

I received a complimentary upgrade to a king-size room, and per their request, I'm providing an honest review with photos.
Overall, the hotel is decent. The room was quite clean, and they offer smart delivery service. However, the delivery was incredibly slow; for a late-night order in Shanghai, I placed it at 6 PM, it arrived past 7 PM, and I couldn't eat until 8 PM. I'd suggest picking up your food yourself if you want it quicker.
Curiously, there was no body wash, but two sets of shampoo and conditioner – I'm not sure if that was a mistake.
I only stayed one night, and overall, it was quite good. My primary requirement is a clean, odor-free room, and it met that standard.
The soundproofing at the room door wasn't great, but fortunately, it wasn't busy or noisy in the evenings. The window was quite small, a narrow vertical strip, and I could still clearly hear the heavy rain last night.
The room has a voice assistant, but it's pretty useless. If I don't enunciate every single word, it won't understand my commands, haha. It's actually faster to just do things manually.

DDahai Chang, zhangdahaiThe location of the B&B is very good, just a few steps away from Wukang Building. But it is not affected by tourists and is truly a quiet place in a bustling city. It's not far from the subway station and you can walk there. There are many restaurants and coffee shops around. The facilities in the B&B are very new and comfortable to live in. The B&B has its own kitchen, which is very convenient if you want to cook. The homestay is very large and has a washing machine with dryer, which is very suitable for long-term stay. The boss is very enthusiastic, responds to questions very quickly, and gives a lot of suggestions. Very professional.

MM2b4jr1kb****My recent stay at the Hanting Hotel far exceeded my expectations – it absolutely deserves full marks! Firstly, the location is incredibly convenient. Whether for business or exploring local eateries and shops, the surrounding transportation and amenities are excellent, saving both time and hassle.
The room itself was strikingly clean and tidy. The bedding was soft and comfortable, allowing me to quickly relax and enjoy a deep sleep until morning. The bathroom featured a well-designed wet-dry separation, and the toiletries were of high quality, showing thoughtful touches in every detail.
The service was an absolute highlight. From the warm and efficient check-in process at the front desk to the staff's prompt response whenever I had a need, their attitude throughout was consistently courteous and professional, with no hint of being perfunctory.
Overall, the value for money is outstanding. The next time I visit this city, Hanting Hotel will undoubtedly be my top choice, and I'll gladly recommend it to any friends who are looking for accommodation!

GGuest UserHad a great stay here. A great place to stay if you are looking to get a feel of the local Shanghai vibes. It is nestled between some old local apartments, and the area is gated with its own security. You will barely see any tourists in the area, there are many shops, restaurants, mini markets, fruits and vegetable shops and even shops selling fresh fish nearby. There are also some very local massage shops nearby that provide very good massages for reasonable prices (there are also some luxury ones too if it suits your budget. The metro is short 10 minutes walk away, if you don't feel like walking its easy getting around with DIDI.
Overall, i loved staying in this neighbourhood!

QQinganFacilities: Well-equipped.
Service: Excellent.
Cleanliness: Excellent, with all essential toiletries provided.
Ambiance: Good overall, but the soundproofing seemed average. I could faintly hear the TV, music, and even singing from the adjacent room, which was a minor distraction. Aside from that, everything else was fine. On a separate note, our room happened to overlook a construction site (a slight inconvenience). Thankfully, the windows were very well soundproofed; closing them completely blocked out the noise.

GGuest UserWe booked the family room for 3 travellers, it was clean, comfortable and spacious. The location was excellent, close to the FC and a metro station a very short walk if we needed to go further afield. There was no breakfast, but this was not a problem due to the numerous nearby restaurants that catered to all budgets.

MM21011****It is a traditional hotel style. The room I booked on Ctrip was too small, so I paid extra and got a standard room after arriving at the hotel.
