Hotels in Pudong International Airport Area, Shanghai

The room was great, clean, and tidy. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The shuttle service was punctual. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but it covered all the essentials. Parking was convenient, right in the courtyard. Overall, a positive experience!

Facilities: They have a washing machine with a dryer, which I didn't get to try as I arrived quite late this time. The TV offers live broadcasts with 30 channels, including major networks, which was sufficient. All necessary shower amenities are provided, along with both disposable and bathroom slippers. The showerhead even features multiple spray settings. The WiFi speed wasn't great, which might be related to the high occupancy – I noticed a lot of international guests during my stay. Service: They offer a parcel receiving service, but it seems they handle a lot of deliveries, so it's best to know what your package looks like to help them find it faster. The breakfast provided for airport transfers was sufficient to fill up on, with options like fresh eggs that you can fry yourself, freshly ground coffee, congee, siu mai, and fresh fruit. Cleanliness: Cleanliness was satisfactory. Environment: The area downstairs is packed with small restaurants, so you'll never go hungry, no matter the hour. Pudong Airport Shuttle Service: They offer a scheduled minibus shuttle to Pudong Airport; during regular hours, just contact them in advance, and it generally runs once an hour. The airport drop-off is a shared coach service with other hotels. It departs each hotel at XX:40 and arrives at the terminal on the hour. Make sure to manage your time accordingly. It drops off at Terminal 1 first, then Terminal 2. Disneyland Shuttle: I didn't get to try the Disneyland shuttle this time. My original plan was to arrive by 3 PM and use the free shuttle to scout the area a day beforehand, but my travel schedule was delayed. Maybe next time if the opportunity arises.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be a mixed experience with several significant drawbacks. The Positives: The hotel's fitness facility. The gym is open from 9 AM to 9 PM and is stocked with weights and reasonable exercise equipment. The Negatives: Unfortunately, the negatives heavily impacted my stay. The most noticeable issue was the unfriendly staff; almost all team members I interacted with were not welcoming or helpful, which created a cold atmosphere. In contrast to the description in the Trip app, their English knowledge was poor and they did not take the effort to use translate apps. The breakfast was another letdown. The selection is not very good and is overwhelmingly tailored to Chinese tastes, with little to no variety for international travelers. While it is cheap, the quality and lack of options make it hard to recommend. Additionally, there is no WiFi available in the breakfast room (and other spaces outside of the room), which is inconvenient for travelers who need to check emails or plans while having their morning meal. Conclusion While the gym and price are appealing, the poor service, unsatisfactory breakfast, and lack of amenities like widespread WiFi make it difficult to recommend. There are other hotels within walking distance that might offer a higher price-to-quality ratio and a more pleasant overall experience. I would suggest also looking at those alternatives for a more comfortable and welcoming stay.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms are very neat, spacious, and comfortable, making it perfect for both relaxation and convenience. A special mention to Ms. Xiao Hu (小胡), who assisted us throughout our stay with such kindness and professionalism. She went above and beyond, even offering us complimentary service from the hotel to Disneyland, as well as shuttle service to the airport. Her warm assistance truly made our experience extra special. they also have costumes (flintstones) that you can wear! my parents enjoyed the room!

Somehow got this mixed up with the Holiday Inn that's by the airport... Be aware this one involves a ~35min ride in a little mini-bus which isn't ideal for a late night layover arrangement. That said, the staff were helpful and acccomodating, and the facilities were good and clean. The shower was good, decent pressure. Little line in there to hang a couple of things on so I could wash + dry them. Very handy. Comfortable bed. Basically everything here is great and good value, but the location is not the best, and the time spent getting there and back on the shuttle bus schedule is time that could be spent sleeping, so bear that in mind.

Not too far from Metro Exit Tianshan Road, it’s about 600meters and walking about 10 minutes.. Airport shuttle about every 30 minutes. Starting from 4:00 AM. Room is average for that prices I think is a little bit small, room is not to quite but you could hear bird chirping in the morning is a plus to wake you up, cleanliness is OK, amenities you need to ask or given at front desk when you do check in.

I communicated our pick up needs to hotel at regular intervals and keot them updated about our flight. Advised would be arriving a little early due to flight. Was told to call after landing - no answer. Tried messaging on we chat took a while for response. No clear directions. So arrived at exit after clearing customs and collecting bags. Then told to go back upstairs to gate 3 departures. Waited out there for a long time. Over half an hour. Many other hotels collected people with many others coming and going while we waited. One hotel had 3 vehicles with their name on it pick up patrons in the time we were standing there. I can now see why we were the only ones going to Novotel. Clearly the driver did not leave the hotel after long after we advised we had arrived. When he did turn up in a rundown silver van with no name on it. He drove like a mad man and dangerously. He think he was trying to make up for time. He was rather rude when he dropped us off, not a word from him. Check in experience was no better. Two girls on reception were talking **** about us - yes I had my translator on after explaining our check in details to them. Very poor service and actually unprofessional behaviour. Room service had finished so we weren't able to get anything to eat. Did not feel able nor did I want to speak with front desk again to ask for assistance in ordering some food. Only staff that was friendly or even acknowledged us was the lovely cleaning lady on our floor the following morning. Breakfast was okay. Laundry was a mess from another lady who pulled out all her washing dripping wet and made a huge puddle on the floor. If there had been a towel I would have cleaned up her mess! We wish we had gone straight to the hotel we had originally planned to but opted for the Novotel due to close proximity to airport for our late flight back into Shanghai. We would have been better off going straight to the original hotel over an hour away. I believe we still would have arrived earlier. We have stayed at Novotel Auckland Airport in New Zealand a few times and the service is impeccable. Unfortunately Novotel Shanghai Pudong Chuansha is not a good representation of the Novotel brand. Also considering this an airport hotel with many tourists likely utilizing it - very few things have English translation including the vending machine. The hotel building itself is nice and the only positive. Won't be back - step up your game. I usually do rave reviews and very rarely do negative unless warranted.

It was surprisingly good! Given the affordable price, I had low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and new the facilities were. The shower, in particular, delivered a fantastic, dense spray – a really pleasant experience. The staff (especially those on duty the night of August 19th and during the day on August 20th – I regret not catching their names/numbers) were incredibly warm and attentive. It's rare to find complimentary breakfast at this price point, which was a great bonus. They also offer a free airport shuttle service, getting you to Pudong T1 in about 30 minutes.

It had been a while since my last visit, but as I always choose this hotel when I come to Disney, I booked Yunhe Yebo again this year. I was pleasantly surprised to discover they now offer a late-night buffet (though I was too full to try it every night, lol!). But judging by the crowd in the restaurant, the food must be really good! All the hotel staff are incredibly friendly and helpful; any issues I had were quickly resolved. After a tiring day at Disney, I saw on Xiaohongshu that the hotel provides foot bath buckets. I quickly went to the front desk to inquire, and luckily, there was still one available, or I would've missed out, haha! (The front desk delivers them individually to registered rooms.) Next time, I'll definitely request it in advance, as they might run out during peak hours, hehe. I'll definitely be back next time!

This hotel is the worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed at, and it is even inferior to the Holiday Inn Express I stayed at before. Its only advantage is its close proximity to Pudong International Airport. The main issues are as follows: 1. The front desk service is not professional enough. As a hotel targeting passengers taking early or late flights from the airport, the staff cannot provide a specific description of how to get to the hotel from the airport. 2. There is a lack of signposting from the airport to the hotel. 3. The hotel corridors are long and covered with thick, soft carpets. While this seems intended to reduce noise, most guests cannot push their heavy suitcases in the upright position and have to pull them on two wheels. Moreover, it may take up to ten minutes to walk from the elevator to the guest rooms at the far end of the corridor. 4. If the thick corridor carpets are meant for sound insulation, the sound insulation of the room doors is extremely poor. 5. The actual size of the rooms is small; there is even a huge pillar in the room I stayed in. Surprisingly, such a room costs more than 1,200 RMB per night. In short, the experience at this hotel is really unsatisfactory.
