Seaview Hotels in Naples

We recently stayed at the Hotel Royal Continental in Naples from January 7 to January 9, 2025, and our overall experience was very positive. Location & Safety The hotel is located in one of the safest and most touristic areas of Naples, right on Via Partenope, facing the sea and Castel dell'Ovo. Naples, as a city, is still evolving into a true tourist destination. The city is making significant improvements to attract more visitors, and you can feel that transition happening. This particular area where the hotel is located feels very safe, thanks to continuous police presence. We saw officers patrolling on foot and by car at all hours of the day and night, which gave us peace of mind. The neighborhood is also filled with excellent restaurants offering a wide range of quality food at reasonable prices. Of course, not every place is great, but there are many good options within walking distance. Additionally, the historic center and most major tourist attractions are within walking distance from the hotel. You can take a leisurely stroll and reach the main sights in under an hour. Room & Comfort The seafront location of the hotel is outstanding. The view from our room was beautiful, and we loved opening the panoramic window to let in the fresh sea breeze in the morning and evening. It’s a wonderful way to start and end your day. The room itself was comfortable and well-maintained, with a level of luxury comparable to a 4-star European hotel. However, it's important to note that European hotel standards are different from those in the U.S.. By American standards, this hotel would be closer to a 3-star property. Despite this, the housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning the room daily and replacing towels. Service & Atmosphere The hotel staff is professional and polite, but interactions felt a bit robotic and mechanical. It seemed like they were following routines rather than making genuine connections with guests. That said, room cleanliness was good, and we appreciated the attention to detail in that regard. One thing that stood out is the hotel’s nostalgic 1950s vibe. The hotel seems proud of its mid-century charm, which they promote through signs and advertisements around the property. If you enjoy that type of retro atmosphere, you’ll appreciate this hotel. Breakfast Experience The breakfast at the hotel was excellent. The dining room overlooks the sea, which makes for a lovely breakfast setting. There are several breakfast stations with a wide variety of options, and the food quality was great. Waiters clean the tables and take care of guests throughout breakfast service, which adds a nice touch. We were very satisfied with the overall breakfast experience. Final Thoughts Overall, Hotel Royal Continental is a solid choice for staying in Naples. The location is its biggest strength, offering stunning views, proximity to restaurants, and easy access to the historic center. it provides a comfortable and memorable experience with beautiful sea views and a nostalgic atmosphere. Would we stay here again? Yes, for the views, location, and breakfast!

The room is very big! There is a small foyer, two balconies, and a large bathroom! It is impressive that European hotel rooms can be so big! I stayed for four days, but there was no water supply except for two bottles of water on the first day. I asked the waiter to send two bottles of water, but was told that it would be charged whether I drank it or not. The breakfast variety is moderate and enough, and the hotel has a very good view. Our room is facing the Castel dell'Ovo and you can also see Mount Vesuvius. 200 meters outside the hotel is the seaside restaurant, with many choices. The two restaurants recommended by the hotel front desk staff, a pizza restaurant and a seafood restaurant, are of very high quality. I stayed for four days and had a very good overall feeling.

The location is excellent, very close to the attractions, and it is also the meeting point or pick-up point for many day trips. Other people's comments said that the elevator was not working well before, so I hesitated when booking the hotel, but after checking in, I found that the elevator was working well. Reasonable price

Hotel location is great, especially after the refurbishment, the room design is strong, the space is large, clean and tidy, the items are complete, and the service staff are warm and friendly. Standing on the balcony of the room, the sea and the sky are the same. The restaurant on the top floor has a wide view and a variety of desserts. I didn't want to see the seagulls on the window sill. I was quite cooperative with me to take pictures. I added a little fun. I drank an extra cup of coffee. I especially liked the guy in charge of the restaurant that day. The service was patient and thoughtful!

Very good hotel, suddenly found that 007 is also taken here, the beautiful breakfast balcony, the seagulls that come to harass from time to time are very interesting! Breakfast can sit until noon, in short, it is a very good choice in Naples.

The hotel was everything we wanted, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We felt very safe with all of the necessary covid precautions been taken. The room was very modern and the balcony was the best part. The view was incredible and we sat out every night to watch the city and the many different firework s display. Would definitely recommend and hope to return some day!

The hotel is located on the seaside. It is a good and safe area, and it is close to the main attractions. It takes about 15 minutes to walk. In addition, the room is very clean and well decorated. It is not very big but very exquisite. The breakfast is average, but you can eat enough. The front desk service is also good.
