Scenic Hotels in Chengde

"Even though I was just passing through Chengde and only stayed one night, I chose Zhaofeng International Hotel once more. This was my fourth stay, and I've noticed a significant improvement in the overall quality of 'soft' services (e.g., staff attentiveness and efficiency) compared to a year and a half ago. The rooms are very comfortable, and the high-floor river view is absolutely stunning. Parking is very convenient, and the surrounding area is quite pleasant. I hope they continue their efforts to achieve even higher standards and provide guests with an even better experience. I'll certainly be back if the opportunity arises!"

"Stayed over for one night at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel at Chengde. The entrance to the hotel was congested with cars. The parking attendance in front of the hotel wasn't really helpful when my driver dropped us off to check in to the hotel. What he cares was just faster unload and removed the car form that area. He offered no help at all. I was not sure if the parking attendance was employed by the Hilton hotel. If yes then the service was really not up par with the Hilton standard for customer service standard. We carried one large luggages and few smaller bags. We have to carry it over few flights of stairs to get in to the hotel entrance. The sliding path to get into the hotel entrance was not located in front of the hotel entrance but was hidden at the side that was obscured or partially blocked by the parking car at the front. The reception lady was very friendly though. We were given high floor and she scanned my WeChat to easy contact with the hotel later. The hotel room was very spacious and beautiful but the room was stuffy. Only one tiny small window was able to open a little bit to let the outside air go in. The afternoon temperature was as high as 25 degrees Celcius and rather HOT inside the room. We cannot adjust the aircon in the room as it is central setting! Called to the reception to ask why the room air con can't be adjusted and it seems not working but was told it is central setting. Well, you paid a lots to stay at the hotel without proper ventilation but to rely on the outside air to go in the tiny window. Despite the hotel facility was complete but we still cannot really enjoy and sleep comfortably as we felt HOT. The hotel separates the bathroom from toilet. The washing basin was outside of the bathroom. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. After checking out, I realised I might have left my traveller adaptor in the room. Immediately Isent a text to the hotel via WeChat but to my disappointment, it took two days for them to reply my message asking me to self contact the front desk counter to ask yourself?! What kind of service of that??? Asking hotel guest to add them on WeChat but still asking us to self call the front desk? Not all tourists will have local Sim card to make phone call. That is really a disappointment. They should have offered a better service by checking with the front desk counter and then get back to us via WeChat. This Hilton is definitely still a long way to go to achieve better rating. The hotel is closed to q night market that offers lots of street foods. There was one food stall that offer very palatable Chu Cheong fun. The experience was not pleasant for my one night stay."

"The hotel has a beautiful environment, complete room facilities, comfortable beds, good bedding, clean and hygienic environment, many breakfast varieties, delicious mutton soup, delicious small hot pot upstairs, friendly service staff, fast check-in and check-out. A small suggestion ~ It's okay to use large bottles of toiletries, but now express hotels have already used toiletries that cannot be unscrewed. As the best hotel in Chengde, we are still using them, which is prone to safety hazards."

"The hotel is in a great location. It is very convenient just opposite the Summer Resort. The environment is also very warm, the facilities are complete, the equipment is perfect, and the front desk service is very thoughtful. The parking lot is large, there are plenty of parking spaces, and parking is free. The security guards are very good and direct vehicles in an orderly manner. "I passed by this hotel on a business trip. The ratings were good and the price-performance ratio was high. I chose to stay at Tiantai Hotel. The clean and spacious rooms, complete facilities, and thoughtful service made me feel like I was at home, warm and comfortable. The hotel's hardware and software facilities were very good, and the faucets and shower heads were all equipped with good brands, which shows that the hotel's taste is very good! There are public baths inside the hotel, and you can take a free bath with your room card. Overall, it is a hotel worth recommending!"

"The room was spacious, with excellent views and plenty of windows, offering a pleasant view. The facilities were a bit dated, but they worked perfectly. The round outlet on the bedside table was very practical and a nice touch. The toilet paper was awkwardly placed next to the toilet, making it difficult to reach. Elderly people with frozen shoulder would find it very difficult to reach. We recommend this improvement. The breakfast variety and quality were acceptable, but the dining room carpet was worn, and the odor was a bit unpleasant."

"The order showed that the room was on the first floor, but after arriving at the store, it was upgraded to the 4th floor. The room was clean, tidy and bright. You could lie on the simple couch by the window to bask in the sun, and watch the river view to the west and the traffic to the east. Parking is convenient and charging of new energy vehicles is easy. There is a large supermarket next to the hotel, which is suitable for shopping and dining. There is a bus stop to the Outer Eight Temples right in front of the hotel, and shared electric cars are also available. To get to the Summer Resort, walk across the river to the Wanshu Garden Gate, which takes about ten minutes to stroll. There are a full range of Chinese and Western breakfast options, and the millet and red date porridge is recommended."

"The hotel is located in the city center. When I checked in, a girl poured me a glass of pear tree water. It was very heartwarming. The front desk girl Lanlan had a very good service attitude. The hotel also has its own restaurant. The food is very good. Recommended"
