Best Sandakan Hotels

"The cleanliness of the room and bathroom was satisfactory. The location is strategic, close to Sandakan airport, with a laundry, market, and restaurants conveniently located around the hotel. There were only three minor drawbacks: Firstly, if you book a room with a bathtub, showering is difficult. (See the second picture.) You have to step into the tub to turn on the water, and the cold tap only dispensed hot water, so you had no choice but to endure hot showers. Secondly, only one room key card was issued. If you're not staying solo and someone leaves the room, they'll have to knock to get back in. Lastly, the TV was non-functional as it had no channels and couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi. The TV itself looked like an outdated model."

"Affordable and clean hotel with excellent service. The staff were all very friendly and easy to deal with. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Sandakan!"

"Hotel was ideally located within walking distance to restaurants, shops and the starting point for Heritage Trail walk with the Jamek Mosque (Heritage trail no 1 - oldest mosque in Sandkan$?? just next door. Quite easy to get Grab/Maxim to go anywhere hence. In general the hotel is quite old with working furnitures however some repairs needed is quite understandable. Did not opt for breakfast (reasonably priced) as we would want to try out local shops instead. All in all, a very convenient place to stay"

"Getting to the third floor using a staircase was a feat. Not suitable for the elderly. No elevators. The room we booked smelled very musty and we couldn’t get other rooms. They just sprayed febreze. However, hotel location is great, easy to get a grab car. Easy to get decent food at walking distance. And i’m glad they have non-smoking rooms."

"Apart from the usual layout where the rooms are above a complex of eateries and other shops, the room was amazing. Large, clean, new and modern. Everything worked as it should and despite the noise from below it was actually quieter than expected. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and accomodating. Would definitely stay again."

"The speed unit aircon required service and pillows required replacement too. The Spa is just next door you can request massage in your room and last order is 12.30am 👍 You can has beer🍻 at their bistro bar or at the back of the hotel got few bar too. Very convenient for breakfast, lunch and dinner at nearby shops 👍"

"The hotel location is excellent. It is within 15 minutes reach, by car, to the airport and down town. There is a wide range /types of food and cuisine close to the Hotel. Above all, the persons--in-charge of the Hotel are very friendly and helpful. Tracy, Daniel and their delicated staff had made sure that we felt at home during our stay. I am happy to recommend anyone who visit Sandakan to stay in Hotel Prima."
