"We are so happy and satisfied with this hotel until the day we checked out. We were accused of taking the laundry bag which is worth 300k Uzbek SUM. I went up with 2 staff and it turned out it was in the drawer all the time (the funny thing is I never even touched it.) I don’t blame these 2 staff as I know it is their responsibility to make sure nothing was missing/stolen (though next time it would be appreciated if they can check it more thoroughly.) What truly pissed me off is the attitude from another female staff at the reception named Zarifa. From the moment we checked out, she just looked grumpy and when my friend said “we never used it”, she reacted with “I am sure you did” in a very rude way! Even later on, it turned out to be in the drawer in the room, she was not even apologetic (the other 2 staff at least said “sorry for the mistake.” This is one of the 2 five star hotels in Samarkand and I just hope what we paid at this hotel is equivalent to the amount of respect you show to your customers. The hotel really NEEDS to put more training in your staff’s service. By the way, we had a really nice chat with another staff named “Firdav” at the first floor bar (if I remember his name correctly, he is tall and bit skinny). He had worked in Hilton for 2 years and the professionalism and politeness he demonstrated is just another level. PLEASE LEARN FROM HIM THAT HOW A STAFF AT 5 STAR HOTEL SHOULD BEHAVE AND TREAT THEIR GUESTS!!"

"I had a pleasant stay at Meridian Plaza Hotel. The location, facilities, and overall amenities were excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, there were a few housekeeping issues that could be improved. On one occasion, the trash in the bathroom was not emptied during room cleaning, and a cleaning cloth was accidentally left hanging on the door handle after housekeeping service. While these were minor issues, paying closer attention to housekeeping details would make the guest experience even better. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying here again."

"I had a very good stay at this hotel. Initially, there was an issue at check in where I was given the incorrect room, but it was resolved, and overall the room was comfortable with basic amenities. My hotel transfer was prompt and the journey to and from the airport was very smooth. Davron in reception was very helpful as were other staff, including the on duty manager. I was offered a minor form of compensation for the check-in issue which I accepted. Breakfast options at the hotel could be improved as the selection was often repetitive. The hotel is situated a convenient location close to shops and some restaurants, however the main attractions of the city are quite a walk away. I would stay there again as the staff were really kind and welcoming."

"A clean, beautiful hotel. The location is fine, quiet despite being next to a small mosque. I had a room on the -1st floor, facing the courtyard. The WiFi worked well, the TV had Russian channels, and the room had bottled water, a kettle, and green tea. There's also air conditioning. The Registan, Bibi-Khanum Mosque, and Siab Bazaar are a leisurely 10-minute walk away. The staff was friendly and helped me order a taxi. Breakfast was served on the upstairs terrace. The view must have been beautiful, but I had an early morning train and asked for a lunchbox. They packed a fairly filling breakfast with a sandwich, yogurt, fruit, and water."
