"To be honest, I booked a homestay at the foot of the terraced field scenic area, the Zuowang Valley homestay, and a five-star hotel in Jinyun during this trip to Lishui. The prices of the three hotels during the National Day holiday were all over 1,000, but the experience was really too different. The first two were also homestays. I can only say that I don’t know how much better the terraced field homestay is. The environment in the Zuowang Valley is good. You can just go there for a day and have a meal. Don’t stay there. "The homestay is in the villa area, the environment is really good, more convenient, and the housekeeper said it was renovated this year. "We loved our weekend stay here as a quiet and green nature getaway from Shanghai (3hr train ride). We arrived late in the evening, but the provided taxi service from Qingtian was great (40mins, 80rmb). Our host Nancy was so sweet, spoke great English, made us wonderful coffees and even took us on a little tour of the village and vegetable gardens. The accomodation is in a small village with 500yo houses, where mostly elderly people still live. We went on two nice 2-3hrs hikes, to the waterfalls and temple and towards another village. Food was great too: lovely rice flake porridge and many other things for breakfast, free tea and snacks, and in the evening we got a lovely noodle soup. Our lastminute vegetarian request was easily accomodated. Bed and shower were lovely and a good heater was provided to warm the room. Would definitely recommend, we hope to come back in spring to see the flower fields!"

"I stayed at Lanxiang Hotel in my hometown for several days in March this year. I moved in again this time. It is a newly opened hotel in the city. I checked in at the front desk the night I arrived in Qingtian. The hotel is relatively new and the environment is quite good. But maybe because of the summer vacation, the price has increased more than before, and the room is not as good as before. The layout of the room this time is strange. The doors of the toilet and bathroom are facing each other, and there is no door in the bathroom, which means that the smell of going to the toilet will spread throughout the room.
