"Advantages
Conveniently situated
Generously sized accommodations
Impressive amenities
Perfect for family trips, this place offers all the amenities you need, just like an Airbnb. You'll find a cooker, pots and pans and cutlery readily available.
Conveniently located near a variety of dining options
Drawbacks
The staff had limited English proficiency, making communication quite challenging.
Upon our early arrival at around 11am, we found the reception area to be deserted. Along with other guests, we were left waiting at the counter, unsure of what to do. Finally, around 1pm, a receptionist appeared. However, rather than simply informing us that check-in was only possible after two, they made each guest wait in queue to deliver the same message. Upon returning to the reception at 2, we were informed that we had to wait an additional hour. This experience was quite unprofessional and made it challenging to enjoy other activities"
"The property in nicely located near the ski slopes and with 5 min walk you can star your day skiing.
We are a bit disappointed on how the reservation has been managed by Trip.com we have been assigned 2 Executive Suites for two adults and one child of 12 years old when 1 room would have been more than enough to accommodate three guests! That’s shameful!
Room service end at 9:30 PM which in my opinion it’s a bit too early for a 5 star hotel like this one.
Also a bit ridiculous to ask for an ice bucket 5.000 KRW against the coat of 570.000 KRW of one room only!!
My sincere appreciation and gratitude to Mr.Koh the Concierge that has been extremely helpful and kind to us during the whole stay. Kudos to him!!!"
"I recently stayed at Ramada Hotel and found it very convenient, especially with the free shuttle service provided. The shuttle runs from Jinbu Station to the hotel, as well as from the hotel to Yongpyong and Alpensia Ski Resorts. Just make sure to check the shuttle schedule in advance —it's available on their website or at the reception counter.
The breakfast selection was decent. What I loved most was the convenience of the in-house ski rental shop. We could pick up our ski equipment and suits early and have it ready in our room, making it super easy to head straight to the ski resort the next day.
One area for improvement would be promoting other attractions in Pyeongchang, such as ice sculpture shows (if available) or other unique activities, to make the experience even more memorable.
Overall, it was a great stay, and I’d recommend it for anyone visiting the area."
"The Kensington Hotel truly feels like it has a story. There's a unique charm that makes you want to spend your time within the hotel itself. I enjoyed limiting my outside sightseeing and instead staying in, whether strolling through the beautiful gardens or exploring the hotel's interior, which is wonderfully themed around Olympic history. I remember the Kensington Seorak being a bit inconvenient without a convenience store, so it was a pleasant surprise that the Pyeongchang hotel had one on-site. I'd definitely love to visit again if it snows."
"The view from the room was superb, directly overlooking the ski slopes. The hotel is centrally located in the town, with dining and skiing just steps away. We didn't opt for breakfast during our stay, as we purchased items from a convenience store in town, so I can't comment on the hotel's breakfast."
"I booked a 61-pyeong (approximately 200 square meters) Noble Suite, but there were no photos of the 61-pyeong (approximately 200 square meters) room on the hotel reservation page, which made it difficult to check the room's condition.
I searched the Naver blog and checked the room, thinking, ”No way, it must be the same room...” I made the reservation.
There was a sink, but no appliances, and cooking wasn't allowed.
There was a double refrigerator, and the storage was spacious and comfortable, but not being able to cook was a real disappointment.
The living room was quite large, and the bedding was clean.
The only inconvenience was that
the refrigerator seemed to be broken... The constant buzzing in the room was very tiring.
The living room bathroom had basic shampoo and body wash,
but the master bathroom didn't have any.
Being a hotel, I expected amenities, but I was a little taken aback when I found none.
However, to be able to book such a large room at this price...
The value for money is incredible! The room is very large, and can sleep up to 10 people.
If you don't plan on staying long,
I would definitely return."
"Cost effective! Although it's a little narrow, it has everything you need, and it's a double-layer structure with high space utilization. We ate cup noodles and almost didn't use the kitchen, but we had scissors, knife, tomatoes, spoons, etc. to eat food."
"It was perfect for going to the ski resort, and there were restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so the location was good, and there was plenty of parking. However, there was only one hanger in the room, which was a little inconvenient. Still, I had a comfortable stay."

Amazing
HHYUNSOOIt was nice that it wasn't so cold since I'd been there before. The room was in good condition and I had many good memories. However, I was bothered by the sound of footsteps, perhaps because there were a lot of guests checking out early in the morning or because the cleaning staff was so diligent.
TTuxannie WuanThe place is good, 7 minutes to ski and has a supermarket and eatery place nearby.
Honestly the room is nice, with cooking facilities but the owner was not friendly at all.
The toilet was stuck and leak they came with only the plunger and ask us settle ourself.
Is winter and we came with kids, the kids built a snowman and they destroyed the snowman after we went for ski trip.
We are a group of 10 and we wanted to cook our dinner. There is a small hut with table and chair and BBQ facilities, we ask to BBQ facilities (We are willing to pay, 10,000 won as stated) but she said is winter so we can’t use the BBQ pit, ended up we use the stove to cook up the meat.
The husband and wife came in to the huts and told us we can’t do BBQ but we explained to her we just cook the meat and we didn’t do any BBQ. We left the place with cleaner than we came in. I have to WhatsApp her and show her the place is cleaned.
The warn us that we must left the place by 1am but in fact all of us finished eh 9.30pm every day since we are tired from Ski.
During the last day, they came to us and I was thinking they come and say goodbye but they just make sure we throw every single piece of rubbish outside the house.
My husband wear shoe and just step to take our luggage and the owner insist us to take out the shoe before we went in to the house. Although we have explained, we just step in and take the luggage and go, he insisted us to take out the shoes.
I have been travelling all around the world and we do understand every cultural is different but as the operator of tourist industry, the owner has to be service minded. If you can’t accept any international travellers then please do not list your place in any platform or put up a notice that international tourist is not permitted to stay there and we won’t book accordingly.
Is such a shame to see this happened to us after our 5th trip to Korea and our 3rd trip to Pyeongchang for ski.
SSOOYEONThere was dust everywhere and hair in the bathroom, but the room was spacious and the bedding was clean, which was nice. I gave feedback because I almost got hurt due to a small issue, and I hope it is resolved well and I will visit again next time.
GGuest UserI made a reservation for my parents because they were going to Odaesan Mountain. They said they were very satisfied with the location, cleanliness, etc. Thank you for the great accommodation 🙂
AAnonymous UserLiving in the Blue Tower Sky Suite was a great experience! We enjoyed a 4-day, 3-night stay with no delays during check-out. The suite is within a 5-minute walk to the ski house and about a 10-minute walk to the central plaza, where we could shop at the convenience store (open until midnight) and visit the game store to play with the kids. Our kids really loved both the day and night activities. However, driving in the snow required extra caution since the rental car had four-season tires but no chains. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable trip!
GGuest UserI was really tired after skiing, but the room was so nice that I rested well.
The boiler was great and the bed was comfortable, which was nice.
It's a pity that the auxiliary facilities are under maintenance.
SScas14The hotel sits on a compound with 2 other hotels. Holiday Inn resort and Intercontinental. The suite has a fully equipped kitchen which is good for cooking simple meals. Surrounding area has restaurants, fast food, ice cream place and convenience stores. The ski resort is within walking distance. Will definitely come back here for another relaxing holiday.
