First of all, the location of this guesthouse is superb, right next to a bridge in the middle of the main attractions. The owner was incredibly welcoming at first. Since the parking lot was about 400 meters from the guesthouse, we parked our car in front of the entrance, and the owner had someone help us carry our luggage up to the third floor. Then, he rode his bike to take me to park my car and back to the guesthouse, explaining how to make the sightseeing more enjoyable. The night view could be taken from the balcony. Secondly, they even provided breakfast, which should have been a heartwarming gesture. However, I ended up getting a scolding from the breakfast shop owner. The breakfast shop was another place, and we went there with our meal tickets. It was just a bowl of beef noodles. The shop was small, and there wasn't enough room when it got crowded. I only asked if we had to carry it ourselves, because there were six or seven elderly people eating at the same time. My point was that if we carried it ourselves, we could wait at the window, otherwise there wouldn't be enough room. The owner's response was: ”Can't you see I'm the only one here? How can I carry it?” After a while, when the noodles were ready, he said he was out of beef and would add some minced meat instead. I didn't say anything. As long as it wasn't poisoned, I didn't care what he put in it; I didn't care if I didn't eat the noodles. Finally, when it was time to leave, I couldn't find the owner. He wouldn't answer my calls, and it started raining this morning. We'd forgotten our umbrellas when we got out of the car yesterday, and the owner didn't come back even after we waited for a while. He still wouldn't answer the phone. I had to find a parking lot in the rain. When I drove out, I encountered a policeman who said I couldn't drive the wrong way because that street becomes a one-way street after 8:30 am. I had to go around in circles. The owner hadn't mentioned this yesterday, and being unfamiliar with the area, I got lost. I had to use navigation and ask the police for directions to finally get back to the hotel. I left my room key on the front desk; I wonder if the owner can see it on the security cameras? What was supposed to be a perfect experience ended up being a disappointment. The accommodation was top-notch, and it was convenient for those driving. It would be perfect if the service awareness were improved.

My stay at ”Qingniao Qimeng Riverside Inn” in Zhenyuan truly exceeded my expectations. The room was brand new, with tasteful color schemes, a clean and bright atmosphere, and very comfortable beds. The decor was simple yet sophisticated, with attention to detail evident in every aspect. The innkeeper was also very friendly and polite. The best part was that it even had an elevator! This is rare in waterfront buildings in an ancient town, making it incredibly convenient when you have a lot of luggage. The room also had a huge balcony with amazing views. During the day, you could see the entire Wuyang River, and the night view was absolutely stunning—the stilted houses on the opposite bank lit up, their reflections shimmering on the water, creating a truly atmospheric scene. In the morning, sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee and listening to the river was so relaxing. Overall, the stay was quiet and comfortable, with the environment, views, and convenience all scoring full marks. Highly recommended, especially for travelers who want to relax in Zhenyuan and slowly appreciate the river views.

Very satisfied with this stay! The location of the inn is very good to find. Take the 2 yuan tourist bus from the train station to the satellite bridge station and get off and walk back 20 meters. It is about 300 meters away from Zhusheng Bridge and Shiping Mountain Scenic Area. It is very close to the walk, and the surrounding life is convenient. The room was cleaned very clean, there was no smell, the bedding was soft and comfortable, hot water, air conditioning, WiFi were very powerful. The decoration is antique and fits the charm of the ancient city, the lighting is super good, and the sun shines in during the day is particularly healing. The shopkeeper is enthusiastic, the communication is smooth, the check-in process is simple and worry-free, and the precautions are reminded intimately. Spacious space, suitable for friends/family, super cost-effective, highly recommended to everyone!

The so-called sun bed room is said to be on the high floor and will be quiet. The result is that it is on the 6th floor. There is no elevator. You need to climb the stairs. The parking place is not downstairs. It is not so convenient to pick up luggage after check-in. The room facilities are particularly rudimentary, all the cheapest supplies are used, and there are bad ones. It is written as a new store renovated last year. I don't think it is. The most unbearable thing is that the room is full of the smell of the toilet in the middle of the night. It is useless to turn on the exhaust fan. I can't sleep all night. I climb the stairs and have noise. This is the most dissatisfied and uncomfortable. The above is an absolute real evaluation!

Excellent location with great river views and beautiful surroundings – perfect for photos! The room was bright and spacious. Facilities are new and clean, and the service was warm and friendly. It's just a few minutes' walk to attractions, and offers great value for money. Highly recommended!

Parking at the hotel isn't very convenient, and the alleyways are very narrow, with a kindergarten nearby. However, the owner is very helpful and will assist you in navigating the alleys. The view room is only half-sized, but it's right by the river. There are two rooms on the 5th floor, but they have a huge balcony—perfect for drinking, tea, or just chatting.

This is one of the nicest places I’ve stayed. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and there’s a shared balcony with a great view of the town and surrounding hills. The host is incredibly kind and supportive. I genuinely felt right at home, making it hard to leave. I hope to return someday. Along with exploring the town and trying the local cuisine, I highly recommend hiking up Shipping Hill (starting from the west-side path) for spectacular views of the area.

The room had a river view, and the guesthouse was located at the end of the riverfront, away from the noise of bars and barbecue stalls, making it quite quiet. For dinner, the receptionist recommended a private restaurant downstairs, saying it was run by locals. The ambiance and food were so-so. The owner said the sour soup fish was freshly killed, 78 yuan per jin (500g). For the two of us adults, the owner caught one, which he claimed was the smallest, around 2 jin. I said, ”Let's say 3 jin.” The owner assured me it wasn't that heavy, but as soon as I nodded, he immediately killed the fish with a stick before weighing it, instead of weighing it first and then asking if I wanted it. It turned out to be 3 jin… The two adults spent almost 400 yuan. I suspect the guesthouse was getting a referral fee for recommending customers to the restaurant downstairs. After dinner, we walked along the river towards the bustling area, where there were many nicer restaurants. I deeply regretted trusting the receptionist and eating downstairs instead of exploring further before deciding.
