GGuest UserThe room is quite large, right by the Wuyang River. It's very pleasant to watch the night view of Zhenyuan Ancient Town from the balcony. I saw the unique ”evil ways” of Zhenyuan. The proprietress is very kind and recommended restaurants for locals at affordable prices. She also gave us some fruit when we checked in and was able to help us with any needs. The proprietress also paid for parking after we checked in. Although the fee was not much, it was very heartwarming. I recommend staying here.

GGuest UserThe guesthouse in the ancient town is the only one with a large terrace, offering a fantastic view. During the day, you can watch tourists stroll through Zhenyuan Ancient Town, and at night, sitting on the balcony and enjoying the nighttime lights is very relaxing. The only downside is the air conditioning; adjusting the temperature didn't work, turning it on made it even hotter, and turning it off left me shivering.

GGuest UserI chose Gui Lai Xi based on the ratings, and it exceeded my expectations! The hotel's design is innovative, with a white aesthetic that feels particularly warm and stylish. It has a wonderful ambiance and atmosphere, especially since you can see Zhusheng Bridge and Qinglong Cave from the room windows. Facing the bustling crowds outside, it’s quite a pleasant experience. The hotel's location is fantastic; it's close to the riverbank, the ancient alleys, and the intangible cultural heritage food street. Zhenyuan's nightlife is beautiful, and it's most enchanting when the lights first come on in the evening. Standing on the hotel's rooftop terrace at that time, you truly see a river of lights and a city full of tenderness. What's more, the hotel owner is incredibly nice. When we couldn't get a taxi on our departure day, the hotel helped us call one. Because the small town's alleys were under renovation and the taxi was momentarily stuck, the owner personally drove us on an electric scooter to meet the taxi, ensuring we arrived at the bus station smoothly. In short, Zhenyuan is a place I'd definitely visit again, offering beautiful scenery, delicious food, and wonderful accommodation.

SshenyubitThis guesthouse is a true hidden gem! Nestled along the Wuyang River, the view from our window was simply unforgettable. Its prime location right in Zhenyuan Ancient Town made exploring and dining incredibly convenient. A huge shoutout to the owner for the generous upgrade to one of their newly renovated rooms – it was spacious and modern. And the fresh, hand-ground coffee he made for us was absolutely divine! This is definitely a place worth staying at least once in your lifetime. Superb! 👍🏻

NNiziI rarely book B&Bs, but this one was surprisingly great! It has an elevator, which made it easy to manage luggage. The location is absolutely fantastic, with stunning views of Wuyang River, Zhusheng Bridge, and Shiping Mountain right from the window. The river view is incredibly beautiful; sitting by the window with a cup of tea, admiring the scenery, was truly delightful and left me wanting more.

HHeibaibowuguanThree years ago, when I visited Zhenyuan, the He Family Compound had a locked door. The tour guide described it as the residence of a wealthy family in ancient times. This year, on my second visit to Zhenyuan, I stumbled upon this inn, which had been converted into a hotel. I brought my friends to stay there, experiencing the traces of time left in the old house, and they all found it a truly novel experience. The hotel is very new, I heard it's still in its soft opening phase. The exterior of the old house has been preserved, and the interior design is designed to fit in with the style of the old house, creating a seamless experience. The staff was very attentive, pointing out nearby parking and meeting us at the Xinda Bridge to help with our luggage. The manager even offered to upgrade our room. Unfortunately, since the hotel was new, the room smelled a bit strong, so we decided to leave after just one night. While it was a bit disappointing, the flaws outweighed the advantages, and I highly recommend staying here.

Opening the window, I could see the stunning scenery of the Wuyang River. At night, the lights on both banks shimmered, their reflections reflected in the water, creating a breathtaking scene like a flowing painting. The room was clean and cozy, decorated with local flair. The bedding was soft and comfortable, instantly washing away the day's fatigue. The owner was warm and welcoming, like a friend. He not only provided detailed information about the ancient city, recommended authentic local cuisine, but also helped with any minor inquiries. Here, I could enjoy a quiet and comfortable stay while immersing myself in the vibrant atmosphere of Zhenyuan. I highly recommend it and will stay here again next time I visit Zhenyuan!

The room and the surrounding environment are really great, and the owner is very enthusiastic and easy-going. The key is the price, it is so cheap, beyond my imagination. When you come back to rest after playing tired, you can also go to the foot bath shop on the first floor to soak your feet and relax. After soaking your feet, you can go upstairs to rest directly. In a word, it is great.
