Felt Right at Home in Chewchou 🌟 I stayed at this homestay for just one night, but it honestly felt like I was visiting family. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, and the whole place had such a warm vibe that I immediately felt comfortable. The room itself was cozy and very comfortable — perfect for a good night’s rest. What I loved most was the location: it’s just a short walk to the busiest street in town, so everything is close by, yet the homestay itself is tucked away in a quiet spot. You get the best of both worlds — convenience and peace. And the house… wow. It’s an antique property with so much character, which makes the stay feel unique and memorable. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Chewchou. If you’re planning to stay for a few days, this is the place to choose — no hesitation!

The homestay was easy to find, and the room was very comfortable and clean. The location is great, with many attractions within walking distance, which made getting around very convenient. The host was very kind and responsive, always replying quickly whenever we had questions. She even called us to inform us about a nearby Yingge dance performance and asked if we would like to watch it, which was very thoughtful. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this place.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights, was slightly worried because we'd heard that many hotels in China don't accept foreigners even if you've booked online beforehand but had no issues here! The couple running the place are very warm and friendly. The hotel is nicely decorated with a scenic inner courtyard as well as a rooftop area. The room was comfortable and had an air conditioner. It also comes equipped with a gongfu tea set and some local tea. The location is great, less than a five minute walk to Pai Fang street, but on a quiet side street without much traffic noise. Since it's in the pedestrian zone, the best place for pick ups and drop offs is Xia Shui Gate - it's just a short walk from there, very manageable even with luggage. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay here again on any future trips to Chaozhou! 跟老公一起去潮州旅游，在伍舍精品客栈度了三夜。起初还有点担心，因为我们两个都是外国人，听说中国有些酒店不接受。 但后来什么问题都没有，老板跟老板娘都很热情， 我们感觉很受欢迎。房间也很舒服，有冷气机， 也有功夫茶具和茶叶让客人喝。 位置非常好， 走路不到五分钟就到了牌坊街，很方便。 如果要打车的话，最好去下水门，比较附近。很高兴选了这个客栈， 下次再来潮州一定会再度在这里！

Chaozhou is an amazing city to explore, so unique and rich in culture. This hotel was very quiet and the environment was incredibly comfortable. We could walk to attractions right outside the door. Chaozhou's Gongfu tea is also delicious, and they warmly invited us for tea as soon as we arrived. The service was excellent; they told us about so many great places to eat and fun things to do. It was a truly worthwhile trip and a fantastic travel experience!

I usually stayed in a 5 star international hotel. However, this trip, we are travelling with a group of 7 of us, all are çlosed relatives. We chose this place as the picture looks nice, and we booked the ENTIRE house; 4 bedrooms; i was mentally prepared that the actual place would look worse than the pictures posted on Trip.com. To my surprise, this place looks exactly like the pictures shown, they are clean and all the basic amenities are in place. The deco of each room is different, nicely decorated. The location was great; we are already in the ”Old town” where all the attractions are. We all enjoyed ourselves. Butler was awesome. Thanks for waiting up for us upon checkin and ensuring our needs are met. Thanks and we will be back!!

This guesthouse is located right inside Chaozhou Ancient City. It's a charming three-story white villa, and the ground-floor cafe is so elegant and thoughtfully designed, with attention to every little detail. The three resident cats are incredibly lazy and adorable. It's very quiet at night, ensuring a peaceful rest. They provide a full set of toiletries, including shower gel (which smells amazing!), shampoo, conditioner, and disposable dental kits. The room was exceptionally clean, and the owner was so friendly. He helped us with our luggage and gave us detailed recommendations for local attractions and food spots within the ancient city, all of which were fantastic and didn't disappoint. The guesthouse's location is excellent. It's just a 100-meter walk to Paifang Street, a 10-minute walk to Guangji Bridge, and 10 minutes to Kaiyuan Temple. There are many attractions nearby, and the snack street is only a 6-minute walk away, making it convenient to get everywhere. Highly recommend this place!

The facilities and amenities at Song Ju Homestay are top-notch. All the appliances are complete and work perfectly, and the air conditioning, hot water, and Wi-Fi are all stable. The room comes with a mini-fridge, tea set, and all the necessary toiletries. The washing and drying machines are super practical. It’s a comfortable and convenient stay, with modern amenities blending seamlessly into the traditional old house setting. Five-star rating!

We really loved this room! It completely immersed us in the atmosphere of a traditional old Chinese house, and we truly felt the history and culture around us. The interior is very authentic and beautifully designed, making you feel as if you’ve stepped back in time. One of the most memorable moments was taking a bath while listening to the gentle sound of flowing water — it was incredibly relaxing and atmospheric. Every detail helps create the feeling of experiencing a historic Chinese home. We enjoyed everything and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of traditional Chinese history and culture.

Great location at the crossroads, good value for money. The room was decent, and there are dining options downstairs. It's also conveniently close to Paifang Street and other restaurants.

Wangyu Tang is a guesthouse with a strong Chaozhou flavor, and I was absolutely delighted with my stay! This century-old house has been beautifully renovated, exuding charm with its gorgeous hydrangeas and koi fish in the courtyard pond. The 'four waters converging in the hall' architectural style perfectly blends traditional features with thoughtful modern amenities, making for a very comfortable and secure stay. The owner is incredibly welcoming and proactively offered tips on local attractions and delicious food. Its convenient location right in the ancient city means easy access to authentic local snacks. The value for money is outstanding, making it ideal for a gathering with friends or a family trip. Highly recommended!
