Environment: You absolutely have to book a stay in the old village, as it's much more convenient. The new village is also a B&B right next to each other, but it's not as convenient. I originally wanted to book a stay in Yijing, but because I booked too late and there weren't enough rooms, I gave up. After comparing Yijing and Wushangyin, I ultimately chose Wushangyin. My stay confirmed my decision! Location: The location is quite convenient, within walking distance of the food court, though there isn't much good food there. You can take bus No. 2 or No. 3, which is two stops to Qiaotou Station, which is a ten-minute walk. Qiaotou Station is the central business district of Hemu Village, and KFC is right there. Facilities: Ansheng Villa and Wushangyin are located in separate courtyards, about 100 meters apart. The owner said Ansheng Villa only has four rooms. Surrounded by neatly arranged B&Bs, the view isn't very wide, but after a day of snow, the first clear day offered a beautiful view from the window. The interior is well-appointed, and the doors and windows are of excellent quality. There's also a slight foul smell from the sewers, which seems to be a common problem in Kanas and Hemu. We booked two rooms, a single-family room and a suite, located next door. The single-family room was larger and had a bathtub, but I doubt the electric water heater would have been able to handle the water usage. The suite was smaller, but had the advantage of a spacious shared living room. There was also a washing machine in the common area. During the snowy weather, which made it difficult to go out, I did a load of laundry. Although there wasn't a dryer, Xinjiang is even drier than Beijing, and even my fleece clothes dried in the underfloor heating. Dining: Breakfast was at Yinshi Fuguang Restaurant. It was quite crowded during the National Day holiday, so the food was average. The buffet was closed the next day, so we had tomato and egg noodles and beef noodles. They were better than the buffet and warm and comfortable. Yinshi Restaurant's main course was also good, with reasonably priced home-style dishes.

The Hemu Guanqiao Pavilion B&B I stayed in this time completely exceeded my expectations! From booking to check-in, I felt the caring service throughout the whole process. The B&B is located in the Hemu Scenic Area. Outside the window are snow-capped mountains, forests and Hemu River. You can see the Internet-famous Hemu Bridge in the room, as if you are in a fairy tale world. The room is clean and bright, with large floor-to-ceiling windows and a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery. The housekeeper also thoughtfully prepared afternoon tea, which was super photogenic. Facilities such as floor heating and humidifiers are all available. The bedding is soft and clean, and the fatigue of the journey is swept away. The housekeeper's service is full marks! Not only did he help with the luggage, but he was also very considerate to wait for us at the bus stop in advance, and patiently recommended the surrounding hiking routes and the best viewing time. The large platform of the B&B is breathtaking for watching the sunrise and sunset, the starry sky and the Milky Way. Breakfast is freshly made steamed dumplings, buns, wonton stew, and Xinjiang's delicious carrot juice, which warms the stomach and heart. It takes only 50 meters to walk to the Hemu Bridge from the B&B. The surrounding birch forest and Harden platform are very convenient. Living here really experiences the ”slow life”. Next time I come to Hemu, I will definitely choose Guanqiao Pavilion. I highly recommend it to friends who want to experience the beauty of nature and humanity!

The hotel is clean and hygienic, the rooms are spacious, not far from the Russian style garden and the net red bridge, parking is very convenient, opposite the farmer's market, there is a supermarket not far downstairs, it is worth living.

The location is superb, within walking distance to Hemu Bridge and the main street, offering a quiet retreat while still being close to the action. The rooms are clean and tidy, with a cozy and comfortable log cabin aesthetic. The underfloor heating is excellent, ensuring a good night's sleep even on dry days. The service is warm and attentive; they even provided helpful tips and recommendations for our trip. Every detail was perfect. Highly recommended!

I arrived a bit late and was worried I wouldn't be able to enter the scenic area. I called the front desk several times, and they all reassured me that everything would be fine, without any hint of impatience. The young ladies at the front desk had excellent service attitudes, and the room was exceptionally clean. I was really surprised to find such a clean hotel inside a scenic area, and it even has an elevator – a truly pleasant surprise! It's very suitable for families with children and elderly people. If I come to Hemu again in the future, I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends.

This time for my trip to Northern Xinjiang, my itinerary was Urumqi north to Tianchi Lake, then along the S21 highway to Ulungur Lake, staying overnight in Burqin. From Burqin, we headed north to Hemu Village, staying in the old village, and then visited Kanas the next day. This hotel is the eco-resort we chose in Kanas. First, let's talk about the facilities. The hotel's facilities are around a four-star level. It's located near the Jiadengyu Tourist Service Center, covering a large area, divided into over 20 two-story buildings, each with different room types. Cleanliness: Very clean, five-star standard. Environment: It's situated in a mountain basin, offering beautiful scenery similar to Hemu and Kanas, but without a river. Service: Hotel service in Xinjiang generally tends to be a bit lacking, possibly due to a lower service consciousness among the staff here. When we arrived, it was past 2:00 PM, and we were told our room wasn't ready yet, so we couldn't check-in. We had to wait for nearly an hour for the room to be cleaned, which disrupted our subsequent travel plans. I understand that during peak season, room cleaning might be delayed, but it still affected our itinerary, and the staff showed no apologies or regrets whatsoever. This was quite uncomfortable, and I hope they can improve in this area.

This hotel is a hidden gem! It's perfectly located – the back entrance is just a two-minute walk to Hemu Bridge, and the front is on a quiet, peaceful street, so it's very tranquil at night. The breakfast is simple but features fresh, homegrown vegetables and corn. The room was decent, though a bit more attention to detail in the cleaning would be a plus. The courtyard was nice but lacked a bit of finesse, and some of the lounge chairs were a bit worn. Overall, I'd still recommend it; it's quite good value for money in Hemu.

The room size was decent. There's no air conditioning, but they provide a cooling fan. It was a bit warm in the early part of the night, but it cooled down later. I wanted to watch CCTV live on the TV, but the operation was too complicated, so I gave up. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but you can go to another hotel nearby for breakfast, which is open to the public. If you walk a few more minutes, there's also a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, offering noodles and stir-fries at reasonable prices. About 500 meters away are the Grand Bazaar and a dining center with many shops. You can take the free No. 2 express bus near the hotel, but be aware that the stops for going and coming back are different, so don't get confused.

The inn's location right inside the scenic area makes getting around and exploring incredibly convenient. The room offered great views; opening the window revealed stunning mountain forests and distant peaks, creating a fantastic ambiance. The twin room was spacious, and the latex pillows were super comfortable. The washing machine was a practical addition. The surroundings were quiet and serene, completely free from noise, allowing for an immersive experience of Kanas's natural atmosphere. Overall, a wonderful stay.
