Highly, highly recommend! This was absolutely the best hotel we stayed at during our half-month trip in Xinjiang. It was such a cozy and comfortable retreat, and incredible value for money. The hotel has a huge courtyard with beautiful lawns and flowers, and even a lovely little calf. It's fantastic for photos! What really stood out was their tri-color cat – so gentle, friendly, and gorgeous. She's incredibly well-behaved, and just gave birth to the cutest kittens a couple of days ago. The hotel rooms are super spacious with excellent amenities, including an 'Xiao Du' smart system and a mini-fridge, making our stay very comfortable. The view from the window was absolutely stunning – highly recommend! Most importantly, the hotel hostess was truly amazing. We had booked a twin room, but she upgraded us to a triple room. Before we even arrived, she contacted us to share important tips for visiting the scenic area. She also picked us up from the station when we got off the bus. Once we were at the hotel, she brought us a ton of snacks, drinks, and a huge platter of watermelon, which was incredibly thoughtful. Friends traveling to Kanas, if you have the chance, you absolutely must stay at this hotel!

Found a gem of a guesthouse for our Hemu trip – Yeju Guesthouse! The experience was absolutely perfect. The location is fantastic, quiet yet central, right opposite a birch forest. Hemu Bridge is just a 10-minute walk away. Waking up, we could open the window to see the morning mist in the valley and wisps of smoke from chimneys – the views were exceptional. Our room was a LOFT duplex with a stylish and clean design. It featured a wet/dry separated bathroom, a smart toilet, and 24-hour hot water. The washer-dryer combo was a huge plus! The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a wonderfully peaceful sleep in the mountains. The owner and staff were incredibly thoughtful. They upgraded our room for free and sent us a travel guide in advance. Their local tips for horse riding, hiking, and dining were all very useful. The beef and chive pancakes for breakfast were absolutely delicious. The courtyard had a relaxed vibe, and our child made friends with a lovely dog. Sitting in the room, watching the mountain views in the morning and evening, was incredibly therapeutic. We felt so safe and comfortable staying in Hemu. Our child didn't want to leave! This will definitely be our first choice next time we visit!

I visited in late September, which is considered peak tourist season. The hotel is located outside Hemu Village, on the easternmost side of the ski resort (Jikepulin Ski Resort is huge, and as a fellow skier, it exceeded my expectations). It's about a 5-10 minute drive from the Hemu Tourist Center. Currently, there are no taxis available, but our package included one shuttle service. If you have your own car, it's quite convenient. The room facilities and the views are both excellent. It's a standard ski resort hotel setup, quite spacious, and the facilities are relatively new. I specifically went to compare the lobbies of Hilton and Conrad, and honestly, I feel that Holiday Inn has more of a resort vibe. The other two felt a bit too conventional, at least based on the lobby and exterior appearance, and I didn't see why they should be 30% more expensive. The breakfast was quite plentiful and good. For the dinner set, we chose the grilled fish, which was… incredibly tough. My elderly mother took one bite and couldn't eat it. However, the side dishes were all great. The spicy numbing chicken and the peanut/edamame combo were perfect with drinks. You can tell the staff are all working very hard. The table next to us seemed to have their birthday cake delivered very, very late, and the grilled skewers ordered by the gentleman at the table next to them seemed to have been forgotten. It really felt like they were understaffed, but everyone was polite and proactive in their service.

The most delightful surprise of my Xinjiang trip was the Secret Hive B&B, it was absolutely fantastic! If you're coming to Hemu, I highly recommend staying here! 🏡 **Environment** Away from the bustling Hemu, this place is quiet, comfortable, and full of character. Staying here was incredibly relaxing. The B&B blends beautifully with its natural surroundings, looking gorgeous morning and night. The actual experience was even more surprising than the photos. 🍽️ **Restaurant** I really have to highlight their restaurant! The owner knew we were international travelers and might not be used to the oily and spicy flavors of Xinjiang cuisine. So, every day, he specially asked the kitchen to prepare lighter dishes for us, many of which weren't even on the menu. Many ingredients like bok choy, white radish, and chives were homegrown and incredibly fresh. Xinjiang portions are huge, and they even let us save the unfinished soup for breakfast the next day, and it tasted even better! This is the first time I've encountered such a thoughtful B&B! The coffee shop is also unique, with homemade goat milk. 💛 **Butler Xiao Huang** Butler Xiao Huang's service was absolutely amazing! Even before we arrived, he contacted us via WeChat, providing directions, travel guides, and menus. Every day, he'd ask us in advance when we'd be back and what we'd like to eat. After a tiring day of exploring, we'd return to the B&B to find hot, delicious meals waiting for us. He'd also proactively chat with us and recommend local activities, truly making us feel at home. His drinks were delicious, and the latte art was beautiful! Throughout our stay, we could feel that they genuinely cared for their guests, rather than just providing a place to sleep. The environment, food, and service were all top-notch. This stay was incredibly comfortable! Secret Hive B&B gets 101 points; 100 points just aren't enough! ❤️

This B&B is one of the best in Kanas Old Village. The clerk contacted us in advance to tell us how to take the bus and pick us up at the station to provide us with travel tips. The courtyard is beautiful and very artistic. From the location of our room, we can see the snow-capped mountains in the distance. , the room facilities are complete, the bathroom is separated from wet and dry, and the smart toilet towels are all provided with disposable cotton soft non-woven fabrics, clean and sanitary staff, the service is very warm and thoughtful, and the meals are delicious. Especially the large plate chicken is comparable to a star hotel.

It's been a long time since I stayed at a Hilton, and frankly, there weren't many other options in Hemu. This Hilton, however, was quite a pleasant surprise. It really grew on me, aesthetically speaking. The dinner and breakfast I had were both pretty good; the 'Gongzi Rou' (stewed lamb) was a perfect 10. The pillows were comfortable; if you like soft pillows, this is a big win. I gave them a membership number I haven't used in 800 years, and got a 10% discount on dinner. Someone helped with my luggage upon arrival. I had booked the wrong room, but despite it being peak season with high traffic, they managed to switch me to a twin room, which was essentially an upgrade. The only downside is the ongoing construction outside the hotel. I had thought this area was a mature commercial and hotel district, but there's construction everywhere. If you don't choose your room type carefully or haven't made a prior request to the hotel, your window might just face a construction site. At this price point, if it were typically around 1000-1800 RMB, I'd accept it, given the operational costs. But at almost 3000 RMB, it would definitely be a bit disappointing. One more thing – and this isn't related to the hotel itself – On the way to the hotel, you pass by the Hemu Village Service Center. Both sides of the road are full of illegally parked cars (especially those modified Ford Transits that act as travel vans – you've probably already experienced their wild driving on the Ahe Highway). The management is incredibly chaotic, and no relevant authorities seem to be doing anything about it. There are parking lots, but people don't use them; either they don't want to pay the parking fee, or the scenic area is too stingy to offer free parking or a unified parking fee with ticket purchase. The overflow management costs and parking chaos are then dumped on first-time visitors. In winter, it's covered by heavy snow, but in other seasons, it's truly a difficult situation to describe.

Boss Liu is such a nice person, warm-hearted, quick-tempered, and attentive. He doesn't know what to ask, and he entertains me warmly. It's really touching. The B&B looks old from the outside, but the decoration inside is very modern, clean and hygienic. It is very good for traveling, especially in scenic spots. The transportation location is convenient for transfers, and it is close to the Kanas River. It is also very convenient to go for a walk along the riverside trail. There are restaurants, supermarkets and other supporting facilities in the surrounding villages. When we went out, Boss Liu was afraid that we would be tired from taking care of the children, so he drove us to see us. Before leaving, he gave us water and helped us carry our luggage. Must give a five-star rating!

I brought my parents to Altay to see the autumn scenery, worrying that the accommodation conditions in the mountainous area would be poor, but the result was a pleasant surprise. The hotel room was spacious, with new and clean facilities. During the day, I could accompany the elderly to stroll around the village and view the mountains. Returning to the room at night, the heating was great and the hot water supply was steady. Both of my parents said they had a very comfortable stay.

🌞 The weather today was quite interesting – sunny, then cloudy, then clear again by evening, and my mood shifted right along with it. The place I stayed was incredibly close to the transportation hub, which meant I didn't have to rush while sightseeing during the day. In the evening, after watching the sunset, I could just stroll back in a few steps – so convenient! 🛏️ The room was spotless, and the bedding smelled like it had been sun-dried. It was cool in the mountains, so I slept soundly even without air conditioning. Outside the window was a small woods with a winding wooden boardwalk. A leisurely walk after dinner, with the evening breeze, was absolutely delightful. 💁 The male butler was very down-to-earth. When he helped with my luggage, he even reminded me, ”It gets a bit cool at night, so make sure to cover up.” The restaurant food tasted like home cooking, and the morning congee was thick and hearty, served with small side dishes – very comforting. During my stay here, I witnessed different sky colors every day, from clear to cloudy to a sky full of evening glow. It felt like being gently embraced by nature, truly reassuring and pleasant.
