"I ordered the most common kind of house at the time. The hotel is located in downtown, which is super convenient! You can punch in some downtown delicacies on foot. "For my first time staying overnight at Ottawa, I booked a hotel room for one night at Lord Elgin. Upon arriving early at the hotel, I was provided with a room before my check-in time - which was very appreciated. The facilities are clean and the staff is friendly. However, little did we know, our room on the 7th floor was connected to another room with adjoining doors. We were unable to sleep through the night as the room had little to no sound isolation from the connecting room, in which a baby was crying all night. I am baffled as to how we were able to hear every single noise: coughing and sneezing from the parents in the other room, their toilet flushing and the baby crying throughout the entire night. We were unable to sleep comfortably and woke up with splitting headaches. I booked this hotel to be the closest possible to the Rideau Canal Skateway, but I will have to find another hotel the next time."
