"The surrounding hotels were very expensive and I was wondering what to do, but then I found one at the last minute for a reasonable price so I made a reservation.
The interior is typical of a Toyoko Inn, but the building is new and clean.
The rice balls at breakfast were freshly made and very delicious."
"Locating right next to JR Obihiro station, restaurants around. Nice view from hotel room (was stating on 13/F). Welcome drink available, amenities widely provided, with tooth brush, cleansing, face cream, masks, etc. Room was spacious. And nice staff."
"This is the worst Comfort Inn we have ever stayed in.
shortcoming
1. The quilt is the one used in cheap hotels. It has a thin sheet inside and a quilt outside. The two are separate. It is very uncomfortable to sleep on. As soon as you turn over, the two sheets will separate. You cannot sleep well all night, and it feels like a battle when you get up. Worst quilt ever.
2. The faucets are also of ancient style, with one hot and one cold tap on the left and right. The same goes for bathing. Before bathing, you have to practice to avoid getting burned.
3. The indoor slippers are actually recycled. The slippers I saw when I entered the room were so dirty and had hair on them. But they were still using them. It's really enough.
4. There is no smoking room, which is hard to find in Japan. There is no ashtray outdoors either, so what to do? Just throw your cigarettes on the ground! What kind of hotel is this?
Could you please reply to me and tell me how to improve these? I stayed in Kure last year and it was comfortable. I stayed in Nagoya in January this year and they were both very good. Why is your hotel so bad?"
"The customer service at Duomei is very friendly. The indoor and outdoor hot springs are very comfortable, especially in winter. The free popsicles, Duoduo, and midnight ramen are also great. There are many restaurants around, and free laundry service."
"Fantastic hotel with all the staffs were so helpful. Japanese tradition of service. The dinner was wonderfully well presented and good taste, breakfast too was fabulous."
"I arrived a little before check-in time, but thank you for accommodating me. There are many restaurants near the hotel, so I enjoyed a walk around town for dinner. The hair dryer in the large bath is ReFa, and hair oil and milk are also provided, so the next morning my hair was smoother and silkier than usual! The bath was crowded because it was during the holidays, but the mall hot spring was also good. The breakfast had a wide variety of options, a nice view, and the staff were very friendly. It was a hotel I would like to stay at again if I have the opportunity."
"First of all, the hotel is quite small and includes the lobby, the restaurant and the room itself. But more importantly, many things do not make sense. There is only one elevator in use (there is another one in the corner which is not in use), as a result, causing chaos in the rush hour. The public bath is so-called a natural hot springs but that is quite common in that area, it is open to the public so many local people use it. Upon the small restaurant, they also put a lot of unnecessary stuff to make the situation worse, e.g. they put an old engine (those you see in the museum), and the dinner table is just right next to it. In terms of service, the front desk people have very limited English ability but I notice that one of the female staff in the restaurant can speak fluently (she remind me to take out a cup of coffee in English). Honestly, it doesn't make sense....."
"This hotel's central location in Obihiro was perfect for enjoying the local nightlife. We traveled by rental car, and finding parking was hassle-free with multiple options available (600 yen/day). We opted for breakfast, which was outstanding in both taste and quality. While there's a sauna, it can get quite busy and a bit cramped. If you prefer a more private experience, showering in your room is perfectly adequate. The water quality is excellent. The staff were proficient in English, so communication was smooth and effortless."
"I stayed for the first time in several years. It was a clean and comfortable room. I was surprised that the price was doubled from that time, but it is unavoidable because the price is rising throughout Hokkaido."

Great
GGuest UserBeautiful hotel with a moor onsen spa and sauna. However it is a 15-min walk from the station and shuttle service is limited. Lots of weddings and royal visit at this resort. Twin Room is spacious and comfortable. Walking distance to M fast food chain next door and Aeon shopping nearby. I would highly recommend it.
GGuest UserNewer hotel. Friendly service at front desk. Enjoyed the complimentary bar with mixed nuts, raisins n a spread of flavors for mixing with carbonated water or alcohol. It’s a pity it closes at 9pm. Parking is at building next to it. Fees are charged to the room with in and out privileges through front desk validation. My only issue is with the narrow access to the twin bed next to the window. We had a room with twin beds. Onsen is small as expected but modern decor. Felt safe that women onsen requires a special passcode to enter.
CCenxincenyiI used a five-day pass for my trip to Shiretoko Five Lakes, Abashiri, and Kushiro-Obihiro in Hokkaido. Obihiro is just over a two-hour drive from Sapporo, offering easy access to Kushiro Marsh and convenient transportation to Sapporo and Noboribetsu. The convenience of a single-person stay was the key reason I chose Obihiro. One minor complaint was the mixed-gender bunk beds on the first floor, and the lack of signage for the restrooms and showers was a major drawback. Breakfast was served in the lobby downstairs, and there were very affordable izakayas nearby. Jr. Obihiro Station is about a 700-meter walk away, and there's a bus to Koufuku Station right in front of the station. I love the Japanese countryside; every spot offers unique scenery and delicious food.
GGuest UserVery close to station and comfortable inside.
It also provides free rental facilities such as laundry and cheap detergents.
Parking lot is also charged 500 yen only.
Highly recommend Areaone if you visit to Obishiro next time.
GGuest UserGood public bath with onsen, cold dip, Sunna room and a semi outdoor area to chill out. The room is big enough, I like the coffee table and extra chair that I use to pack my luggage. Japanese / western style breakfast plus self service options, you can make a pork don, too!
KKojiLocation (close to bus terminal, JR station, restaurant area), lobby atmosphere, front desk support, very nice. The room itself was small but comfortable.
YYYLoThe price is very economical, great value for money, and free breakfast is provided. What a surprise. The parking lot is free. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I forgot to turn off the interior lights of my car, and he actually came to remind us to go down and turn off the interior lights. , thank you very much, the breakfast was delicious!
