"I hope that in the future there will be clearer signage reminding guests to use the provided tongs and serving spoons when taking food from the buffet, or that staff can occasionally monitor the buffet area to ensure proper hygiene. Unfortunately, I completely lost my appetite after seeing some guests, specifically Indians, using their bare hands to take food, despite the serving utensils being readily available. I also noticed other guests looking on with visible discomfort. It was an unpleasant and unhygienic experience that detracted from what is otherwise a very nice 4-star hotel. In addition, the dining area was affected by a mix of very strong perfume and noticeable body odor from some guests, which made the breakfast experience even more unpleasant. While I understand the hotel cannot control personal grooming, maintaining a comfortable dining environment is important. I hope this issue can be addressed to help maintain the hygiene standards and dining experience that guests expect."

"This hotel was the most delightful surprise of my trip abroad. The location was convenient, making it easy to get around. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and I could get a good night's sleep after a long day. The owner was warm and attentive, communication was smooth, and they patiently offered travel suggestions. And what's more! They even made dumplings for us! Such thoughtfulness made me feel incredibly safe in a foreign country. Overall, a perfect experience, definitely a hidden gem hotel I'd stay at again. Highly recommended!"

"It looked like the hotel was 600 meters from the center, but in reality, it took 20-30 minutes to get to the center because of a detour. The hotel is new, but the finishing touches, plumbing, fixtures, and everything else are of the cheapest quality. The hairdryer was falling apart, as was the trash can in the bathroom. The overhead shower only worked intermittently, and only one of the three USB charging ports functioned. When I checked in, the air conditioning wasn't working, but they fixed it, after which it hummed quite loudly. Every evening between 9 and 10 PM, a girl from reception would call and ask how I was doing. This was unnecessary; I was usually almost asleep and didn't need to be woken up. The elevator to the 5th floor took 3-5 minutes, was all scratched up, despite being new. There's no sign for the hotel, so taxi drivers often didn't go to the right place immediately. I understand that perhaps the hotel's renovation and finishing work aren't complete, and in some places, plaster hasn't been cleaned off and there's construction dust. However, it shouldn't cost this much. I was swayed by the high price of $115 and a good rating. After checking out, I booked a room in another hotel for almost half the price ($76), and the quality of everything there was three times better, it was only 30 meters from the center, the room and bathroom were twice as big, and the fixtures and plumbing were high-quality European, with impeccable renovations. On the positive side, the reception staff were very friendly, and the lobby was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was decent, not the best but pretty good. By the way, there was no option to cancel it when booking the hotel. The sheets were clean, and the beds were comfortable, which definitely eased my desire to check out early. And I really wanted to. For $70, this would have been a perfectly acceptable option, where I could give it a 4-star rating. But for $115, it's not even a 3-star, because there are better, closer, and larger options available."

"Super duper new hostel, so everything is clean and modern! Also, got the entire room for myself hehe. Location is super good located on the MAIN street with Abay Metro 5 mins walk away and walking distance to many restaurants/cafes. Also 15-20 mins walk to Ascension church, Abay opera house and Dostyk Shopping mall (high end mall with 3 major supermarkets). Staff was super friendly, helpful and speaks good English. Paid laundry service was good too"

"I was extremely satisfied with my stay in Almaty! The hotel decor was very tasteful, and the facilities were complete and new. The staff spoke fluent English, were warm and considerate, and even proactively recommended local food routes. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable, allowing me to sleep soundly until morning. It offers great value for money, and I would choose to stay here again next time I visit!"

"Was not happy on our arrival that the reception did not have any clue and their insistent that our room did not include breakfast and that we have to pay for it Second occasion, that we requested for towels to be changed and had to call 3 times with in two and half hours until they finally sent house keeping with the towels"

"This is a new hotel opened by a Chinese owner. I arrived at night and they offered a free airport pickup. All the front desk staff speak Chinese, and the service is excellent. For breakfast, just let the owner know when you're up, and they'll personally make you noodles. You can order Chinese dishes for both lunch and dinner, making your stay here feel just like being in China. There aren't many shops nearby, so shopping is a bit inconvenient."

"The hotel is located near Almaty airport, a 10-minute drive away. However, there's a railway nearby, so you can hear trains. The staff doesn't speak English. Breakfasts are mediocre and are brought to your room. They'll likely be late. The listing states there's a free airport shuttle. In reality, they just called a regular taxi and told the driver to collect cash, which was a surprise to me as I didn't have any local currency. I only found this out at the airport. Luckily, the taxi driver accepted rubles, and it wasn't expensive. But the whole approach was very upsetting. This isn't a shuttle; it's a scam. I could have just called a Yandex taxi myself and paid by card. The hotel itself is a 3 out of 5. It's fine for an overnight stay if you're transiting. There's no infrastructure around it."
