GGuest UserMixed feelings. Great location and lovely staff! But we had a room where the TV wasn’t working. First night they told us they can only fix it the next day. Then the next day they said they can only do it the next day again. Plus this was after my multiple phone calls, it seemed that the maintenance team just ignored us. And the reception offered a 20% discount on room services as apologies for the long wait. In the end as they can’t do anything, I asked if we could change room. So we got a new room… with a half working tv… but with broken aircon… we called reception and was told they can control it from their end. Still not working. So we went out for dinner and asked them to check it out. When we returned, there were technicians in our room fixing the air conditioner. And we sat around outside for an hour before it was fixed. In the end, after hassling the whole day we finally had a working room at 9pm…
All the staff were very polite and tried hard to resolve the issue. But I feel everything in a room should be working before guests check in. alternatively we did ask to change room again but not sure why that wasn’t considered but instead they want to keep us waiting around for another hour in the lobby.

GGuest UserPerfect stay at the Novotel city centre, upon checking in Armand at reception noticed it was my daughter’s birthday few days ago so he gave my daughter & son as toy gift which was very sweet! The hotel has decent clean rooms & it’s in the perfect location, the Koke tobe cable carts are next door & Dostyk mall is a 15mins walk away. The hotel had a great breakfast spread with fresh pastries and a variety of food choices, lunch & dinner menu can be improved a little but still ok it just has a limited variety. Unfortunately, the pool & spa was under maintenance so was not open so we couldn’t use. Also thanks to Armand we got a late check out for both our rooms! A very nice jolly chap!

XXuelangshanjukeI was a little skeptical at first, thinking it would be old. In the end, I booked it because of the location. Overall, I am satisfied. Generally, airline crews will choose hotels for their stay, so they won't be too bad. It's not far from the cable car station, about a 20-minute walk. It's also not far from the Cathedral, a 15-18-minute walk. I am a bit picky. The facilities are acceptable and clean. The room is quite satisfactory. The breakfast buffet is average.

GGuest UserThe front desk service was excellent, the environment was beautiful, and it was close to all the attractions. It was quiet and convenient, and had a swimming pool, sauna, and massage facilities. We even encountered someone playing the piano in the lobby in the afternoon.

Mmilkway8277The hotel's location is excellent, not far from the Central Museum, and there are restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are relatively spacious, and the lobby has an old-fashioned charm. The occupancy rate wasn't particularly high during my holiday stay. With the new Marriott hotel opening, Almaty will surely have even more great hotel options in the future.

KKseniy_KsyuThe hotel completely lives up to its name – it's incredibly cozy, I'd even say home-like. The staff treats you like family, very sweet and pleasant. I especially remember the security guard who helped with luggage in the rain, leaving a very positive impression. The rooms are clean, and housekeeping is thorough. The location is also very convenient – about a 10-15 minute walk to the center. The breakfasts are good too, with plenty of choices and everything delicious. Excellent value for money, I will definitely choose this hotel again next time!

GGuest UserBooked this hotel because it was near to the airport, and being only 20 minutes away made for a great stopover between flights.
That said, the hotel itself has plenty to offer. The rooms are nice and clean. We actually had an issue where we had too much hot water which is sort of the opposite problem of what you'd expect. The staff were friendly and helpful. They also had plenty of water coolers around to refill bottles, which is a nice touch not all hotels would offer. We didn't use the pool, but we saw that it was large and plenty of people were using it. Breakfast was simple, but did enough to cover all the bases.
All in all, would recommend a stay here. Especially if you're looking for somewhere near the airport to crash.

BBeMa354This hotel is definitely one of the most affordable ones in the city, and it has a good location. There are a couple of restaurants on the ground floor, and a free breakfast buffet for guests. There is also a sauna and a hammam at the lower ground level. Overall, a good stay experience at this hotel.

GGuest UserMy stay at the Wyndham hotel was decent overall. The location was super convenient, making it easy to grab a bite or catch a taxi.
The room itself was a bit small and felt cramped. The hotel facilities were noticeably old, with outdated furniture and appliances that weren't particularly well-maintained.
However, there were some definite highlights. The breakfast spread was incredibly varied and tasty – I left feeling very satisfied. Plus, the hotel had a gym with all the basic equipment, which was great for a quick workout to unwind.
Overall, its strengths are the excellent location, the wide breakfast selection, and the gym. But if you're bothered by small rooms and old facilities, you might want to consider other options.
