Best Nakagami District Hotels

"In the afternoon, the hotel provides complimentary welcome drinks like soft drinks and popsicles. Signing up with your email gets you a free gift (you can choose from six options); I picked the Awamori, which was a great choice. The complimentary promotional flyer also included a voucher for a free face mask and a 10% discount at the Ryukyu Onsen mask shop located right next door. There are lots of special perks and promotions available. There's a counter downstairs at the hotel where you can book various activities, such as snorkeling. The onsen area in the main building is smaller compared to the annex. A great feature is that the women's onsen in the annex includes a sauna. They also rotate the onsen bath scents weekly. Breakfast offered a very generous and wide selection, even including ice cream. My only minor critique is that many options were carb-heavy (rice, noodles), which felt like a bit of a carb overload. The salad bar was also a bit limited, mostly cabbage. Accessing the upper floors requires a room key, which enhances security. Ice machines and washing machines are also available and very convenient. Sunset Beach is just a short walk across a bridge from the hotel. The Chatan area also offers a free shuttle bus service, making it easy to visit Aeon Mall and catch a movie at the adjacent cinema."

"The hotel has a multi storey parking for hotel guest use, free of charge, but need to have a chop at front desk. Also there is a Aeon nearby which is tax free. We buy a lot of souvenir there! Hotel is located just next to American Village Depot Island. It is just across the street... and u will find plenty of shops, restaurants and entertainment there. Although the view is not good, there is a balcony in our room. There is also a public bath (free of charge) as well...open till very late, many people go there at night. Remember to go before sunset as the sea view is great and many people go there for photo taking."

"A special thank you to the kind lady staff member who patiently and enthusiastically assisted me with storing my luggage, booking a shuttle bus, and even disposing of a suitcase. I didn't even catch her name, but her kindness made my Okinawa trip a truly heartwarming experience. The hotel's ambiance and location both exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, and it even had a comfortable balcony. My daughter was thrilled; she'd sit there every day, daydreaming and listening to music. I originally thought three nights here might be a bit long, but now I feel like I could stay even longer. I'd definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises. The hotel offers a convenient direct shuttle bus to Naha Airport that can be booked a day in advance. Fantastic!"

"👍😆 The hotel environment and atmosphere are very good, and the lobby has a slight aromatherapy which is very comfortable. The room was large and clean, and the view from the terrace was amazing. (But the weather in Okinawa changes quickly and it may suddenly rain heavily, so remember to close the door when you go out) There are self-service water dispensers and beverage vending machines on each floor, and snacks and daily necessities are sold on certain floors. The waiter was very nice and patiently answered questions. There is a large public bath where you can take a bath. The buffet breakfast for the whole day was quite rich, with many ingredients grown/made by themselves. The own brand milk had a strong taste, which is highly recommended. 👎😅 The air conditioner is not cold enough. When the temperature outside is around 25 degrees, you need to be patient and wait for the room to cool down. Another inconvenience is that the hotel is located on the top of the mountain. The way up the mountain is a bit difficult to find and the walk is tiring. Although there are shuttle buses to nearby towns and large shopping malls, there are not many buses (the timetable is attached in the picture), and they are only slightly larger light trucks. Be careful when carrying large luggage, as they can still be put in when there are fewer people. It is better to be prepared to call a taxi when going back at night."

"Our recent stay at the Grand Mercure Okinawa Cape Zanpa Resort was memorable and enjoyable. While the location does require driving to access nearby conveniences such as restaurants and stores, the hotel itself offers ample amenities that enhance the experience. The breakfast selection is exceptional and not to be missed, catering well to a range of tastes and preferences. Families will find the resort particularly appealing, with child-friendly facilities that promise a fun and engaging stay. We were particularly taken by the variety and popularity of the snacks and drinks offered at the open bar on the first floor. We look forward to returning during the summer season to take full advantage of the water park and pool facilities. For the onsen, I was fortunate I was able to purchase tattoo covers over the reception counter."

"The hotel was very spacious for me and my 14 year old son. We landed at Naha and took the city bus to the hotel. It was very convenient because the bus stop is literally right next tot he hotel. My only challenge was getting a taxi because it was my very first time in Japan and I didn’t know there’s a taxi app available. so no one onsite until 10am but i needed to be somewhere by 0830. But they do have have starbucks and Mcdonals within walking distance g distance and American Village was about 15-20 minutes away. I enjoyed my stayed there and I would recommend it to anyone that would like to save more but having a good place to stay. It had its down washer n dryer in the room, tub was separated from the shower which I absolutely loved it. full kitchen was also in our room."

"Very good hotel! The family-style setting is very relaxing, and the utensils are very complete so you can cook by yourself! It also comes with a washing machine and dryer (which is awesome and can completely dry clothes)! The most satisfying accommodation of the entire trip (glad I booked four nights)! Great location! The bedding is also clean."

"Beautiful place! Staff were friendly and accommodating. First experience with a 5 star hotel and it was amazing! Situated right beside American Village and there were many places to just walk or cycle around and explore. Staff even helped with making a taxi booking since we had an early flight. Thank you Hilton for making the last lap of our Japan trip a memorable one! Oh and breakfast buffet was good! Wished that the items changed around but not complaining since the food was of top quality!"

The two chairs on the balcony make it the perfect little nook for sipping coffee and gazing out at the sea. ☕ 🍳 Well-Equipped Kitchenette & Handy Appliances There's a small kitchen, perfect for preparing simple meals. It's fully equipped with a rice cooker, kettle, microwave, refrigerator, and a variety of dishes and utensils – truly feeling like a home away from home. The bathroom offers stable hot water and perfect water pressure for a very comfortable shower experience. Plus, there's a washing machine and dryer, so you can keep your clothes fresh daily – incredibly convenient! 💬 In a nutshell: it truly felt like home, and my spirit felt wonderfully nurtured! Highly recommended for independent travelers who appreciate spaciousness and sea views. This isn't a lavish hotel, but it's absolutely an apartment that delivers a perfect blend of 'homely comfort and healing serenity.' Next time I visit Chatan, Okinawa, I'd love to stay here again!"
