Mountain View Hotels in Muscat

My recent stay at the Mandarin Oriental Muscat was overall enjoyable, with several notable highlights. The hotel’s location near the beachfront is fantastic, offering stunning views of Muscat and the surrounding mountains. The interiors are beautifully designed, featuring natural materials that create a luxurious and calming atmosphere. The rooms were ultra-comfortable, with excellent beds and top-quality linens that made for a great night’s sleep. I also appreciated the thoughtful in-room amenities, including good tea, a Nespresso machine, and water in glass bottles—a healthy and eco-friendly touch. The shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner provided were of great quality, and the dental kits were decent. However, I did notice that some toothpaste tubes weren’t fresh, as the paste had become solid and dry in a few sets. Additionally, the shaving kit was of the cheapest level, which didn’t align with the otherwise high standards of the hotel. Breakfast was good but not quite up to the level typically expected from Mandarin Oriental. There’s definitely room for improvement here, but I believe this is something the hotel will refine over time. The staff were polite and professional, which added to the overall positive experience. Considering the hotel is still new, I’d rate the overall experience, including the price/value ratio, as 3.5 out of 5. I’m confident that with time, the hotel will address these minor gaps and elevate the experience to match the impeccable standards the brand is known for.

Hotel looks nice on the outside but you’ll see lots of thing waiting for you. When we arrived in the hotel we see that the people who are working at reception were nice but doesn’t give the basic information about the hotel unless you ask lots of questions. Nothing was explained. Then we switched to our room by ourselves and found out there was a bottle of water which already had been used. Thankfully the Bellboy helped us and solved the problem, we appreciate him. He is the guy who saves receptions lack of information and lack of interest. After relaxing a little we decided to have some air at the restaurant area which is the only place that has open area. But no one cares what you asked or even doesn’t bother coming and asking you as if you’d like to have something. And that’s our first 30 minutes unfortunately. We booked for 3 nights and we’ll see what’s going to happen next. Maybe it’s just our experience.

The service attitude is very good, but the check-in is a bit slow. The room is very clean for Oman, but there are some dead insects on the wall that have not been dealt with. The hotel restaurant is also good

Everything from the moment we checked-in till we left, was perfect the staff were really cheerful and welcoming, rooms are amazing, facilities were beautiful the food was so delicious. I simply enjoyed my stay and would definitely comeback and recommend the hotel to my friends

No true complaints that would be the fault of the establishment. It was my Ramadan and def my fault for not doing more thorough research. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere or at least that’s how I felt. The food was pretty good though a bit pricey. Since it was Ramadan options were slim to none outside of the hotel during certain hours. I will say the staff was very sweet and beyond kind. On our last morning we left the hotel around 5am. We were provided with a full, cooked to order breakfast and beverage to take away. What I thought would be a bagel and juice was a complete meal of eggs (cooked as requested), oats and fresh fruit and then some.

I highly recommend Al Bustan Palace for a luxurious and unforgettable stay. It’s a perfect destination for relaxation, indulgence, and experiencing the best of Omani hospitality. The rooms and suites at Al Bustan Palace are elegantly designed, blending traditional Omani style with modern luxury. Well known and famous 5 star hotel in Oman.

I am very regular guest in your hotel. Amazing facilities and all the staff is also very king and helpful. I will like to special thanks to Janhavi and Amjad from reception for their great service. Pool is very nice and gym is also nice. Will see the staff soon again

The hotel itself is new and nice. The front desk had conflicting views on the opening hours of the pool and gym which caused confusion. The hotel is in a strange location but fine if you have a car. Also got bed bugs on the last day which was a surprise given the hotel was otherwise very clean

Wyndham Muscat Hotel left me with a very good impression. The hotel facilities are very good, with a lounge area, meeting rooms, a rich variety of breakfast, spacious rooms and public areas, windows for ventilation, and a relatively large area. The only drawback is that the king-size bed room I chose was converted from a suite, and there is a door in the middle, which makes people feel strange. But the overall facilities of the hotel are still very good and worth recommending. There is a Radisson Hotel nearby, and the two hotels can be reached on foot. There are many delicious local meals in the middle area, such as Syrian and Turkish meals. Don't worry about eating.

A beautiful and comfortable hotel on the shore with excellent service, comfortable rooms and picturesque views. The hotel's restaurants and breakfast are of a high standard. The hotel provides a shuttle to the malls and Mutrah Souq. The staff is very friendly and also assists in organizing tours. The location is a little far from the center, as well as malls and attractions, but is excellent for a quiet and comfortable stay.
