"Staff are very nice, with traditional style of old onsen hotel, need 12 to 15 mins walk from public transport station, the hotel does not have shuttle bus service, but there are daiso, aeon supermarket and convenience store nearby, and great natural mountain view, the dinner is delicious and full."

"This onsen hotel look rather old and tired from the outside, but besides that, everything about it exceeded my expectations. Location is just about a 6-7 minutes' walk from the train station. We stayed in the Japanese style room, which was clean, fairly spacious and overlooking the mountains. Onsen was good with both indoor and outdoor pools on the ground floor and first floor, swapping between males and females at allocated hours. As for the dinner, it was simply awesome! It was the standard buffet eat and drink all you can type, except it was not so standard with the standard food and the usual house pour. Dinner was widespread and high-quality stuff (graded wagyu steak) and a selection of whisky and premium beer lager. (Beer not the usual plastic cups BUT BY THE BOTTLES!) It was no surprise that queues start forming at 5.30pm even though dinner officially only start at 6. So, if Sansuikan is your pick, make sure you make a reservation with dinner."

"I booked a private spa for three days and two nights at this hot spring hotel from January 10th to 12th. I was very satisfied with the hotel's service, environment, and location. "How cost-effective it is. Small business. There is a pick-up service after 3pm. We will take you to the station when you leave. There are only 6 rooms. Basically no one is using the public hot springs. You can go in at any time. It is no different from private ones. The meals are like family dishes. There are Mandarin-speaking work-study students. No need to worry about communication problems."

"The accommodation is beautiful, the surrounding atmosphere is good, and there is an onsen hot spring to soak in. The food is delicious. **But what I am not very impressed with is the control of other service providers. Mostly, 99% on the day I stayed were Koreans who were not very polite. They did not know even the etiquette and rules of using the public hot spring. I am not sure if the owner of the accommodation has informed the rules of using the hot spring, which is something I cannot accept. They were loud, threw the earbuds on the floor, and were not orderly. They also wore shoes in the common area of the dressing room in the hot spring. I was very disappointed. It was a rather disappointing vacation, even though it should have been a good day for me. I lost the mood to soak in the atmosphere. I did not even have the heart to take pictures of the atmosphere with the accommodation."

"The ryokan is clean and small although it is quite old. The dishes are delicious. The service is very excellent. Even the guest does not know Japanese, he will try his best to explain the food to the guest. Every single dish just like an art piece which use the seasonal plant to decorate the dish. The whole set of dinner and breakfast are excellent. The disappointing point is the the outdoor Onsen. The size is too small for occupants."

"In the afternoon, it is a place where you can take a hot spring bath with your family. I had a happy time with my daughter using the hot spring on the 3rd floor. You can take a hot spring while looking at Mt. Yufu, but I thought it might be visible from outside, so I lowered my body and went into the bath. I was embarrassed because I didn't know that the room I reserved didn't have a bathroom, but there was a bathroom right next to it, so I didn't feel any inconvenience and had a good time. Anyway, I used the hot spring for a shower in the morning and at night. Breakfast was just right for women."

Service: The service is very good, the hotel room is 10, the service staff is both in the number of jobs, but the service is very thoughtful. AAnonymous UserExcellent experience!! The 2 storey house included living room, bedroom, 2 restrooms, balcony and private onsen! The view from onsen is incredible! Kaiseki dinner was served at the main building in a private room. The whole main meal and beverage were in high quality. Breakfast on the next day morning was good too. Staffs were helpful and polite. Free taxi round trip from JR station to the hotel. And just 8 min walk from the Kinrin Lake which is prefect for getting up early for the morning mist.

FFred’s LIt was a great experience. I took my two parents out to soak in the hot springs. There was a private hot spring in the room. The room was clean. I was most satisfied with the dinner. Every dish was very exquisite and tasted very good. The waiters were very nice and you can contact me if you have any questions. They assist. It is not self-driving. It is best to call a taxi because it is quite a distance away. I will definitely stay here again next time.

SSerena_세레나I was looking for a place with good value for money and accessibility in Kyoto because I was attracted to ryokans! It is a place near Kirin Lake, so it is close to Yufuin Street. The location is perfect! It was about 10-15 minutes walk from the bus terminal and Yufuin Station. I was alone, but I went there cheaply because there was a special price. There seemed to be many families, and I didn't make a reservation, so I used it at 16:30, which is ambiguous about using the private bath. I was originally staying in Yufuin for 2 nights, and it was the last day, so I went right at check-in time and spent the day at the accommodation. I enjoyed the private bath and the large bath, and it was so great! It was December 9/10, but it wasn't cold to wash outside (it could be the heat of the hot spring, but it varies from person to person.) You can enjoy the private bath in the morning, but I finished the morning with the large bath! The kaiseki and breakfast were great! I also thought it would be better if I brought my parents. I don't know if the staff is Korean, but there was someone who could speak Korean, so I had a very comfortable trip!! You should definitely visit.

The room was spacious, comfortable, and incredibly relaxing, and the private onsen was amazing—we used it both at night and in the morning. The service from the hosts was exceptional. We accidentally left a bag of clothes after check-out, and they had it delivered to our next hotel the same evening! We’re so grateful to the person who drove up and down the mountain in the dark to bring it to us—it was a 30-minute drive away. Apologies for the inconvenience! Overall, it was an unforgettable stay, and we’ll definitely return.

GGuest UserFirst of all, I was very satisfied with the location! It was nice that it was close to Yufuin Station and the bus terminal haha. And the owner was friendly and could communicate in English, so I was guided well! Above all, I went because of the hot springs, but they said that the family baths can only be used if a “child” is included..! We couldn't use the family bath because it didn't meet the requirements, so we used the public bath. However, since the public bath is only used by ryokan guests, we were satisfied that our family could use it almost privately for two days. In particular, I brought a grandmother in her 80s with me and she really enjoyed it! I requested breakfast, and I was able to choose between 8:00 and 8:30, and it was a really neat and clean Japanese home-cooked meal! I stayed for two days and was satisfied with the different types of side dishes and drinks. It seemed like they paid a lot of attention to hygiene, and I felt like I was treated well, so it was a really nice place to stay. Next time I go to Yufuin, this is a place I want to stay again! ☺️
