GGuest UserWe checked in on 15 Jan, 2026 and planned to stay at the hotel for a nite. When we arrived the railway station , we walked around for a while and got a taxi outside the railway station to the hotel without paying the fare. Probably the hotel had arranged with the taxi drivers in that area that they will pay the fare directly. The check-in procedure is easy and comfy. 2 staff lead us to our room 小樓球。It’s a very nice room with 2 private onsen. The spring water is nice and made our skin very smooth. The hotel had arranged enough drinks for us, 3 alcoholic and 3 nonalcoholic. We had our dinner at ard 7pm. The presentation of the good is very good & eye catching. However, the quality of the sashimi was not very fresh. Taste of the tuna was a bit fishy and it’s wet and found bloody water after picked it up from the dish😓. I don’t eat beef and the hotel changed the 5 pcs of wagu to 3pcs of eel which didn’t taste very well. Not sure whether they grill it or not. Also they changed the beef that served with rice to miso and I didn’t think it’s fair enough. The breakfast on the next morning was up to standard. Bread was fresh and hot. Egg and sausage were quite good. Overall, service is good but the standard of dinner made me disappointed as I had informed the hotel at least one week before check-in and I think they have ample of time to adjust the menu for me. I’ve been to some other hotspring hotels with same request of not eating beef. They had changed my menu to chicken, pork or seafood like fish or shrimp and provide the equivalent size of meat for replacement.

GGuest UserWe got the room called ”Forest Bath.” It was very clean, and the onsen was comfortably warm. The only downside was the view – a bamboo forest – which wasn't as impressive as expected. The kitchen was well-equipped with appliances: oven, microwave, dishes, pots, pans, and even a Dyson hairdryer. However, I found some of the facilities a bit strange. For example, there was only one shower room, and it was shared with the indoor onsen. So, if you weren't shy, you could shower while someone else was in the onsen. There was also only a glass partition between the shower room and the sink, so someone could clearly see someone showering while they were washing their face. Furthermore, there were two toilets, one upstairs and one downstairs, but neither had a sink inside. The upstairs toilet required going downstairs to wash hands, while the downstairs toilet required using the sink in the shower room. Those were the only issues. Otherwise, it was very convenient. You'll need to drive to supermarkets, and the road leading to the area isn't suitable for walking.

GGlodeckThe hotel staff were pleasant and welcoming. They have separate communal onsens for men and women, plus three private onsens that require advance booking (one 50-minute slot per room per day). This isn't super convenient, especially since you probably won't spend more than half an hour actually *in* the spring. However, you're allowed to wear a swimsuit in the private onsens if you prefer. The hotel building is quite a distance from the station, but it's close enough to the lake, which is definitely worth seeing if you're visiting Yufuin. On the ground floor, there are vending machines where you can grab snacks, just in case you get hungry late at night (the hotel closes after 12:30 AM).

GGuest UserIf you're still debating whether to book this place, just go for it! You definitely won't be disappointed!! I initially hesitated quite a bit and read the reviews repeatedly because this inn isn't near the station and the rooms only have toilets, not full bathrooms. But after actually staying here, I'm so glad I booked it. Even though it's at least a 10-minute walk from the station, the path is relatively flat, making it easy to pull a suitcase. And while there's no bathroom in the room, the inn has three private onsen baths. Since there aren't many rooms, you rarely have to wait, and there's no pressure to rush your time in them. Plus, you can check if a bath is occupied via the in-room iPad, which is super convenient. The room itself is incredibly spacious and comfortable, with a tatami area for activities and a Western-style bed for sleeping. Breakfast is semi-buffet, with a delicious Japanese main dish. The only downside is probably the sound insulation isn't the best; you can hear noises from the hallway and the next room. However, after about 9 PM, even families with kids tend to quiet down, so I didn't find it to be a big issue.

GGuest UserStaying at this hot spring hotel during cherry blossom season created wonderful memories for my family and me. The hotel provides a convenient shuttle service—just a quick call from the station, and within 10 minutes, a car arrives to take guests directly to the hotel. The staff were exceptionally polite and attentive. Upon noticing that my father was using a cane, they kindly arranged a room for us without stairs, ensuring a more comfortable stay. The accommodation was spacious, featuring a private onsen and a massage chair, which made the experience even more relaxing. Since the hotel is near the mountains, there were a few insects, but it wasn’t a major issue. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and in the morning, guests could get fresh milk with breakfast. The hotel’s location was ideal—just a short distance from the shopping street and Lake Kinrin, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we truly enjoyed the experience.

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located on the hillside, making it easily accessible by car. The staff are incredibly enthusiastic, proactively helping with luggage and even offering to take a commemorative photo before departure, which they print on the spot. The room features three hot springs with adjustable temperatures, offering beautiful and peaceful views. The meals are exquisite and generously portioned.

凌凌凌漆Here's a review of my stay: 1. **Location and Amenities: A Quiet Corner with Easy Access** The hotel is conveniently located, about a 7 to 10-minute walk from JR Yufuin Station, making it easy to find while also being away from the busiest commercial areas. Right next door is a Lawson convenience store, and there's a supermarket nearby, which is super handy for anyone who likes to grab snacks and drinks in the evening. 2. **Hot Spring Facilities: Highly Private ”Kashikiri” Experience** This is truly the highlight of the inn! There are 5 private family hot springs (private baths), including both indoor and outdoor options. No reservations are needed; you just check if the light at the entrance is off, and if so, it's free to use. **Tech-Savvy Management:** Guests can scan a QR code with their phone to instantly check the real-time availability of each private bath, saving you a wasted trip. **A Small Tip:** If you're staying in winter, the path to the outdoor baths and some outdoor showering areas can feel quite cold. If you're sensitive to cold, I recommend prioritizing private baths #1-3, which are indoors. 3. **Dining Experience: A Hearty Yakiniku Feast** We opted for the half-board plan, and dinner was enjoyed at a partner yakiniku restaurant. The wagyu beef was excellent quality and incredibly generous in portion. There was even a bonus offer of unlimited alcoholic beverages and plum wine, making it fantastic value for money. The Japanese-style breakfast the next day was also very filling, providing a great start to our day. 4. **Unique Atmosphere: A Paradise for Animal Lovers** The inn has very gentle cats and dogs living on the premises. If you're lucky, the resident cat manager might even appear in common areas or even come by your room for a patrol. For animal-loving travelers, this sense of warmth and comfort is something other hotels simply can't replicate. 5. **Accommodation Details and Recommendations** **Room Space:** The new wing rooms are spacious, blending modern comfort with traditional Japanese aesthetics.

GGuest UserStaying at a hot spring ryokan in Yufuin with dinner and breakfast included is so convenient and hassle-free. Jukaso Hotel in Yufuin was a great choice. The traditional Japanese garden setting creates a wonderful ambiance. The location is incredibly convenient, just a 5-minute walk directly from Yufuin Station, so even with luggage, it's no trouble at all. I booked a tatami Japanese-style room. It was spacious and clean with excellent natural light. Opening the window revealed mountain views and the greenery of the garden, making it very peaceful and restorative. The amenities were complete, and the double sinks in the bathroom were a thoughtful touch. The hot springs include both indoor and open-air baths. The water quality was pleasant and clean, and it was quiet with few people in the evening. Soaking in the onsen completely relaxed me.

GGuest UserI don't know if it's because I was staying alone, but the room facilities were really great! The bed was big, there was a sofa, TV, microwave, and fridge! The bathtub was also big and nice! It felt like the largest bathtub I've seen in a Japanese hotel. For this price and room condition, I would definitely stay here again. It's super convenient as it's right in front of the station. You just need to cross one crosswalk, it feels like crossing a small alley... doesn't even take a minute! The surrounding shops close early, and it's a bit far from the main street, so it was nice and quiet at night. Even the shops on the main street all close by 5 PM! However, you might be a bit surprised when you first check-in. You just need to enter the password correctly at the front of the building and go in to check-in. There's no one there, so you might feel a bit flustered. There are stairs leading to the check-in area, so if you have a lot of luggage, I recommend leaving it downstairs, checking in first, getting your room assignment, and then moving your bags! If you get a room on the first floor, you'll have to carry them back down! I heard there's an onsen on the rooftop, but I didn't go, so I don't know. Also, they don't clean the rooms! This didn't bother me much, but they only provide enough towels for one night, regardless of whether you stay for 3 or 4 nights. They tell you to wash them in the washing machine! To use the washing machine conveniently, it's best to shower quickly, start the laundry, and then do other things. Just rinsing, spinning, and drying takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes! Also, unlike a hotel, there are no C-type or USB-type outlets in the room. You definitely need to bring an adapter. It's not like hotels where the power is weak, so I was able to use my curling iron. Since it's convenient to wash towels, I would probably use this place again if I go to Yufuin.

AAnonymous UserThe accommodation is beautiful, the surrounding atmosphere is good, and there is an onsen hot spring to soak in. The food is delicious. **But what I am not very impressed with is the control of other service providers. Mostly, 99% on the day I stayed were Koreans who were not very polite. They did not know even the etiquette and rules of using the public hot spring. I am not sure if the owner of the accommodation has informed the rules of using the hot spring, which is something I cannot accept. They were loud, threw the earbuds on the floor, and were not orderly. They also wore shoes in the common area of the dressing room in the hot spring. I was very disappointed. It was a rather disappointing vacation, even though it should have been a good day for me. I lost the mood to soak in the atmosphere. I did not even have the heart to take pictures of the atmosphere with the accommodation.
