Yufu Hotels with Bars

The hotel is located about 7 minutes walk from Yufuin station. It is not so close to the walking street and so not so noisy and crowdy. The staff are polite and can explain to us in English. The room is big and they will serve you the tatami bed at 6pm. There are 2 public onsens, one for men and one for women. Only 1-2 people were using when I went in. I didn't book the dinner and breakfast there because there are many foods in the walking street. The view of the balcony is good too. I drank beer and sat very comfortably to look at the night view that night after taking the hotspring. What a life!

The hotel is very beautiful, the room is also very big, and I booked a private bath, which is really enjoyable. The most surprising thing is the dinner. I thought it was just a set meal, but it turned out to be very rich, similar to Kaiseki cuisine, with not only various sashimi but also small hot pot, Wagyu barbecue, desserts, etc. I was really full at the end of the meal, and I felt that the room price was instantly halved. Haha. The Japanese breakfast the next day was also very good. Disadvantages: The transportation and life around the hotel are really inconvenient, and you can only choose hotel dining. There is not even a convenience store at the door. The hotel waiters are a bit short of staff and there is often no one at the front desk. The heating facilities in the lobby are open flames. Although you can't touch the fire inside, the shelves outside are hot, and children are prone to accidental injuries. This is especially important. Our room with a private bath is on the third floor, there is no elevator, and you need to carry your luggage up the mountain by yourself. If there is no man with you, it will be really tiring. This hotel has about 30 rooms, which is relatively large in Yufuin. The location is a distance away from Yufuin Railway Station. If you have a lot of luggage, it is recommended to take a taxi. We walked for about 20+ minutes to get there, mainly because the suitcases are not easy to push on the way up the mountain.

The beautiful environment, the eye-catching is the gorgeous red maple. The service is nothing to say, the package dinner is served in the villa, before confirming whether there are taboos or food allergies, different dishes every day, you can also ask for 5A beef hot pot (additional money is required). The breakfast is served in a large restaurant, and it is also a private room. The decoration is very Zen-like. The taste is even better, and the style is too much to eat. It was nice to have meals in a separate venue rather than in the room. It was nice to be able to take a bath in the hot spring. Is the air conditioning in the room under constant control? For some reason, the heating didn't turn on at night, and conversely, the heating was too strong and it was very hot at times. They didn't ask about allergies in advance, but the food contained shrimp, which I'm allergic to. They replaced it immediately and it wasn't intentional, so it may not have been helped, but there were also bugs in the food.

Fantastic accommodation. There's 5 onsen that you can try out during your stay. Food is really good with free flow alcohol for dinner. Really sweet of the staff to prepare snacks and a complimentary Polaroid shot when you check out. Everything is just so comfortable and fuss-free.

I stayed here with my girlfriend. The inn is about a 10-minute taxi ride from Yufuin Station, and if you use Minato Taxi, there is no rent fee. The building itself has a quaint design, which is a great thing about an inn, and it was clean. We stayed in the Royal Suite Room this time, and the living room with TV, bedroom, dressing room/washroom, toilet, balcony, bathroom attached to the private room, and open-air bath were all very satisfying. There were plenty of amenities, and we didn't feel inconvenienced at all. We were able to eat in our private room, and they were able to change the taste, quantity, and ingredients for any allergies, which I thought was the best service.

The hotel is slightly over 1km from Kirin Lake and the shopping lane but it offers free bikes for use by guests and cycling to the attractions is a breeze from the hotel. In addition, the hotel offers booking for three of their onsen amenities - open air, semi open air and we xtra hot osen. Guest can book the preferred slot at one of the onsen location and by about 8pm, the hotel will allow guests to book any additional slots at any of their onsens. We managed to have slots for all three of the onsens, each was well maintained and provides you to have privacy of quiet onsens. There is a hotel lounge where you can have free flow of cold and old drinks too...

If you failed to make a reservation at the ryokan you wanted, this is a great place to stay for a reasonable price. Advantages: 1. Relatively cheaper price than ryokan. Except for a few cost-effective accommodations, prices like this are rare. 2. There is a restaurant in the same building. 3. Kinrin Lake is right in front of the building, so you can see the lake right from your room. Also, I think the biggest advantage is that you can see it without having to go outside on days when there is fog. disadvantage: 1. It’s far from the station. If you have heavy luggage, I recommend taking a taxi. 2. Ironically, Kinlin Lake is right in front. Saying that Kinrin Lake is right in front of you means that there are tourists right in front of you. Not only rooms, but also public baths and even open-air baths can be accessed from outside. Rooms have curtains and public baths have opaque windows, but the open-air baths are finished by a wall that is lower than the height, so if you use the open-air baths during the day or when the sun is up, you need to have the courage to make naked eye contact with tourists. Please note that the side with an open-air bath has a women's bath on the day of check-in and a men's bath on the day of check-out. 3. Amenities are far away. In fact, normally it wouldn't be that far, just 10 minutes away, but the tourist attraction + countryside played a part. It was very dark with only sparse street lights, so using the flashlight function on your phone was essential. Although I wrote about the shortcomings at length, I am overall satisfied with the accommodation!
