"This hotel was the most expensive one we booked during our trip to Gannan, but the experience was quite average.
1) The family room bathroom had clear glass. Even with the reflection, you could still clearly see inside the toilet and bathroom from outside (Image 1).
2) The windowsills were covered in dust (Image 2).
3) There were spiderwebs under the ceiling lights (Images 3 and 4).
4) There was no light switch near the bed; you had to walk to the door to turn it on and off, which was very inconvenient."

CConnie_WanThe first homestay I stayed in during the trip to Gannan, the room was too much to expect, dry and clean, my husband couldn’t help reminding his daughter not to drag the suitcase on the ground as soon as he entered the room, the whole village should be a family-made homestay, and the meal was recommended by the boss. Relatives' homestay next door, The three big ones spent more than 100, and the beef and mutton and butter tea were very good. Breakfast is eight yuan per person, and it is just in time to go in before the traffic jam at Labrang Temple. It is perfect.

This is a very rich Tibetan homestay. The boss is very caring. He arranged the room in advance. We lived on the third floor and the boss helped with the luggage. Our family of three took the dog and set up a triple room, each sleeping without disturbing each other! The room is very spacious and clean. The car is parked on the side of the road, 1 yuan an hour, no charge at night. Because the homestay is in the alley on the roadside, it is not convenient for the car to drive in, we chose to park on the side of the road. The boss said to help us service the parking fee, we refused, thank the boss for his kindness. I planned to go to Labrang Temple the next day, but it was cold and raining. I went to eat Uzelinka Tibetan meal, not far from the homestay. Next time I drive Gannan, I will choose Muya Homestay.

TTracey’sBest hotel I’ve stayed in on my trip. The family made me feel so welcome. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Lots of hot water. Food was great. They gave me a bike to cycle to the grasslands and did my washing for free! Also dropped me at the bus station. So kind and lovely. And the owner speaks perfect English.

Location and Natural Beauty
The hotel is nestled on the edge of the Sangke Grassland, offering vast grassland scenery as soon as you step out the door. On our check-in day, the welcoming owner offered to take us for a walk by a nearby stream. Verdant grass lay beneath our feet, dotted with wildflowers, the stream gurgled, and in the distance, cattle and sheep strolled leisurely. It felt like stepping into an untouched natural landscape. This immersive experience, detached from the hustle and bustle of life, was one of the greatest surprises of the trip.
Service is in the Details
What touched us most was the owner's thoughtfulness. Due to our tight schedule the next day, we planned to depart at 7:30 AM. We had planned to skip breakfast, but the owner specifically inquired about our departure time the night before and prepared a hot breakfast the next morning. Bread, milk tea, and side dishes...the simple fare held the most simple warmth, making us feel like family on a cool morning. This selfless enthusiasm far exceeds expectations of ”hotel service.”

The ethnic atmosphere was particularly rich. It was a truly wonderful stay! It was truly fantastic. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to any friends visiting Labrang Monastery in the future! It's truly excellent!

Outside the window is the continuous snow-capped mountains and the Jingjing. You can see the sunshine of Jinshan in the morning when you wake up. The scenery is beautiful! At night, you can look up at the stars, stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and really relax.”

WWuhouhongcha1668The rooms are well equipped and the room service and restaurant service are satisfactory. Two problems: First, the room temperature was too high, about 30 degrees, and there was no temperature control. I reported this to the hotel, and they said that the heating temperature in Xiahe is always that high and the hotel cannot control it. We opened the windows and drew the curtains, but didn't dare turn on the lights because there was a hotel across the street. We couldn't fall asleep in bed at all. It felt like we were in a scorching hot room with no ventilation or air conditioning. It was minus 14 degrees outside, but it was suffocatingly hot inside! We, an elder who was almost 70 years old, had to travel the next day, so we didn't sleep the whole night and just endured the scorching heat.
