"My husband and I stayed at Casa Azul five years ago for our honeymoon and it was so amazing, we decided to return for our 5-year anniversary! This is an absolutely beautiful property with impeccable service. So many nice little touches like welcome drinks on arrival, little chichen it's shaped chocolates on your pillow at night with a special message, organic shower products made with Mayan honey, and of course their incredible breakfast service. At night, there is always someone waiting at the gate to let you in no matter what the tine. We stayed in the Mejorada room with is gorgeous with high ceilings and a jetted tub. Although Casa Azul has its traditional charm, it's definitely upgraded and renovated enough to provide modern conveniences. The air condition was very good, plenty of outlets to charge things, etc. Breakfast service is the standout and often was one of the best meals of our trip. Their chilaquiles is especially incredible but you can't go wrong with any choice. Raul provided exceptional service and also accommodated a speedier service one day when we had a tour to catch earlier in the morning. Luna in the office was always super helpful to answer our questions and give us tips. Location-wise, it's steps away from el Paseo Mantejo and we felt very comfortable walking at night to and from our hotel from the center. Casa Azul cannot be missed!"

"Very bad reception service, they give you the wrong room, they changed our room 3 times and in the end they didn't give us the one we paid for, they gave us one at a lower price, and the management never attended to us, we asked for breakfast at the hotel and they told us about the app but we told them that it said it was paid at the hotel and they didn't resolve it for us The pool was dirty, it was obvious that they didn't clean it Bathroom with ceilings in poor condition Cockroaches come out"

"The hotel is outside the city centre and situated on a busy road. The nice building is a plus. However, the pool is not well maintained and not very inviting. Service is friendly but extremely slow and somewhat incompetent. What‘s included in the breakfast is very basic- you have to pay for everything on top. Given that the room prices are pretty high this was an unpleasant surprise. Disappointing also that you can’t even get a freshly squeezed juice in a presumed 5 star boutique hotel. There were workmen drilling whilst we had breakfast on the terrace. Coupled with the noise from the street and the loud pop music this was not what we had hoped for. Had it been half the price I would not have expected anything. At 250 Euro per night per room this is overpriced for what it offers"

"The location is just steps away from Montejo Avenue, and the rooms are very clean. It has a gym with basic but functional equipment. On the other hand, the facilities are very old. The shower head couldn't be switched between the fixed and the handheld option. There are no USB charging ports for phones, which should be standard for 4 and 5-star hotels these days. The lobby, while pleasant, is too dark, and being at the entrance, it makes the hotel look like it's not open for business. The food seemed very expensive to me; there are much better and more affordable places to eat nearby."
