"Hotel is outdated, but the worst thing is the noise. It is surrounded by loud streets and if you hope to evade the noise by having a room oriented to the courtyard, you are damn wrong. They have terribly loud installation of aggregates for their air conditioning. And they have built it so stupidly that the noise is going against the wall and thrown back inside the complete courtyard. Even we closed windows it always sounds as if you would have a vacuum cleaner next to your bed. And the really worst thing is that I had asked about the quiet room upfront I had made it even before Booking very clear that I am a shallow sleeper and that I only want to come if they have a quiet room. And they told me that I should’ve just booked a suite with internal view and I would be fine. Of course I was not. So it’s one thing to have a hell of noise and do not use technical possibilities to not spill all your courtyard with the noise of your air-conditioning. But it’s another thing to lie about it. At least in the bathrooms at Reception level I did observe roaches. As it is a very urban environment, this is avoidable with proper care and cleanliness. In addition, I had called them informing them about the flight cancellation and asked for a change of my reservation which day at first said they would gladly do. And when I came there, they said it needs to be done via a trip. And went ripped did send them a respective request they did just decline it. So dishonesty is written big in this hotel. I suggest to definitely avoid it."

Unfortunately, we only received one large towel and one small towel for two people, and there were no pool towels available either. "The hotel was very comfortable and we liked the courtyard which was very quiet. The building was impressive and we received very good service from the Reception and Dining staff. The food was good. The pool is small and is more of a plunge pool. We were not so impressed with the location of the hotel. It is a pretty town but there is not a lot to do and it was quite a long walk along a main road to the centre [approximately 20 minutes]."

"This is a superb hotel. We found this to be excellent in every way. I found the food to be fabulous. The two chefs were very welcoming and accommodating. The rest of the staff are friendly and helpful. They specialize in vegan and vegetarian food and frequently offered us a lunch as well. They have an 80 foot long pool perfect for swimming laps. It doesn't use chlorine either, so you don't smell like a pool after swimming. The rooms and common spaces are perfectly appointed with both paintings, art pieces and photographs. The location is great for both exploring and for finding a restaurant. This hotel only has 7 rooms and yet is very, very spacious. Often I felt as though I had the hotel all to myself. The room was amazing. The closet comes with all the detail to allow me to fully unpack. I had access to a washer and dryer...that was very helpful. The bedding and towels were first-class. I will definitely come back."

We only got to stay for one night, but they upgraded our room and allowed us to enjoy the pool as we arrived early and they needed time to get the room ready. It is worth the price."

"The location is good, not far from the city center, about 2 kilometers away. The avenue outside the hotel can be used for jogging, making it a holy place for morning jogging. There are art markets, restaurants, and bars on weekends, so you can definitely have a pleasant holiday and enjoy dinner with your family and friends. The hotel's buffet breakfast is not expensive, so consider buying more."

"My husband and I stayed at Casa Azul five years ago for our honeymoon and it was so amazing, we decided to return for our 5-year anniversary! This is an absolutely beautiful property with impeccable service. So many nice little touches like welcome drinks on arrival, little chichen it's shaped chocolates on your pillow at night with a special message, organic shower products made with Mayan honey, and of course their incredible breakfast service. At night, there is always someone waiting at the gate to let you in no matter what the tine. We stayed in the Mejorada room with is gorgeous with high ceilings and a jetted tub. Although Casa Azul has its traditional charm, it's definitely upgraded and renovated enough to provide modern conveniences. The air condition was very good, plenty of outlets to charge things, etc. Breakfast service is the standout and often was one of the best meals of our trip. Their chilaquiles is especially incredible but you can't go wrong with any choice. Raul provided exceptional service and also accommodated a speedier service one day when we had a tour to catch earlier in the morning. Luna in the office was always super helpful to answer our questions and give us tips. Location-wise, it's steps away from el Paseo Mantejo and we felt very comfortable walking at night to and from our hotel from the center. Casa Azul cannot be missed!"

The hotel cleaners tried to mask the odour by liberally spraying a room deodorizer. The pool, although shallow, was perfect for cooling off."

"Two double rooms were occupied for 6 nights, one on the first floor and one on the 6th floor. The one on the first floor had a normal cleaning service, although we had to request toilet paper on the 4th day, at the beginning of the day when the air conditioning was turned on it had a water leak, flooding the entrance to the room, which was reported, according to the inconvenient. In the room on the 6th floor, the lack of cleaning of the room, especially the bathroom, was reported. It was observed that only the beds were made. One of the days I was in the room, the cleaning service arrived and waited outside the room. and in 3 minutes the maid came out declaring that she was ready, upon entering the room was checked noting what was mentioned. It was mentioned at reception about which no further comment was made. I hope that what has been said is addressed to strengthen the areas of opportunity so that the service does not decline for the benefit of the hotel and the clients. Greetings"
