UNA PEQUEÑA VILLA ESCONDIDA.......Es un hotel con un ambiente acogedor, tranquilo y discreto,ligeramente alejado del centro a unas 4 cuadras de la catedral y el parque central y a unas 8 del ADO centro histórico, con personal amable que te responden desde que te confirman la habitación, puede ser en pareja o familiar,amplias las habitaciones, limpias y con amenidades, y definitivamente con una buena cama y suficiente almohadas, se descansa,cuentan con ventilador de techo y aire acondicionado,además de una pequeña alberca al centro de los 3 pisos que lo conforman en du interior que más parece una pequeña villa,amena,cómoda y con camastros a lado de un par de palmeras que dan un ambiente relajante y te hacen olvidar de que te encuentras en la ciudad. Vigilancia,amplio espacios e instalaciones, como dicen la casona porque la fachada así parece por la conservación y ser parte del centro histórico, además qué cuenta con amenidades,cerca de restaurantes,parques y relativamente de paseo montejo,ideal para salir por la tarde noche a dar un paseo o más.sin duda un lugar al cual regresaría de nuevo

Nothing to do with the photos, I think it doesn't reach 2 stars (* and that by the location - about 800m from the center and a square from one of the main streets). It's a dirty old hotel, in bad condition, the cottage filled with moho, the bottom is not seen; they don't clean well and one day, in the plane, they didn't do it; when I arrived, I asked you to smoke it and you'll get into bar, I was not the only one. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotels in Merida are not the best, but they always expect a lower quality to the stars mentioned, especially the hotels in the center.

This places is lovely. Understand, though, that some of the super old furniture is worn. I was there for a month and switched back and forth between two rooms. The first room was a standard double. (The room pics I provide are all of this room). It was a lovely room. The bathroom didn’t make sense though. It was the tiniest bathroom I’ve ever been in. The pic shows the sink and the toilet. Across from that, there’s a shower. the room above this one has the same configuration as the one shown, but the sink is outside of the bathroom, which makes the entry/sitting area of the room more pleasant. I chose not Ask to move upstairs because it’s also hotter upstairs than downstairs… and the bathroom configuration wasn’t that big a deal to me. The first room was overlooking Calle 60. It was a bit noisy on some nights. I actually preferred my smaller room to the bigger suite. Something about it just felt nicer. It needed more comfy dining chairs for the little tea table though. The second room I stayed in was a suite with two double beds. (I am not posting pics of that one because there are too many personal items in the pics I have of that room). It was the corner suite facing both Calle 60 and overlooking the park in front of the hotel. IT WAS NOISY. The second room had more light, More room, and a much better bathroom configuration (toilet and shower inside, sink outside the bathroom). It also had a couch and lounging Chair as well as much better (and much older) furniture. By “better” I mean beautifully worked, with more storage space/specialized storage. However, the floor in the second room (the suite) was really badly damaged over by the bathroom. So from the door the room looks pretty much perfect. Over by the bathroom it looks run down. And that’s just how this place is. That’s why I say it’s like staying in someone’s grandma’s house. Beautiful, comfy, clean, but it’s clearly been used. There are rooms that have newer furniture, but understand that this is an old hotel. ITS GORGEOUS but if you expect everything to be new looking, then don’t stay here. I think they are renovating, but I’m not sure. I hope that they keep the furniture and just have if restored as best as possible. They should also restore the broken tiles. IMO restoration of the tiles and professionally filling nicks in wood would do wonders for these rooms. If I were to give this place a review just based on the look of it I would give it a 4. 3 for the condition and 5 for the beauty and ambience. I am giving it a 5 for three reasons: 1. It’s just gorgeous, 2. It felt like was staying in someone’s home… very peaceful… inviting… comfortable and 3. The staff. Come to think about it, they probably are the reason the place felt so comfortable. They seemed efficient and were pleasant, helpful people. The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre. The facilities are perfect, the catering service is also very good, and the other services of the hotel are also very good. The hotel has complete supplies and is easy to use. The overall sanitary conditions of the hotel are very good. I am quite satisfied with this. I still wanted to live for two more days, but the room was booked by someone else. I couldn’t continue to live and I had to change to another hotel.

The Wayam hotel is ideally located for tourism at the well known Colón Ave. near down town, just a couple of blocks away from the new convention center. Rooms are beautiful and wide, very comfortables, just make sure you are not facing the avenue as traffic’s noise comes up. Pool on the 4th floor has a beautiful view but too cold. All personnel is very friendly but still too new and untrained for the hotel standards. Still, too new to be great and a bit overpriced but Management is eager to improve.

This was my second time staying here. On this trip, I needed a very early check in and as a globalist, they made my room available super early which I appreciated after my red eye. Breakfast and the property are really nice. Lots of construction as they are redoing a large part of the hotel. Pool area is mediocre. Staff is great. Regular rooms are mediocre but the suites (which I stayed in on a previous trip) are amazing! Hotel location is decent depending what you want to do. Overall had a great stay.
