Plus, the hotel even has an elevator – talk about thoughtful amenities!"

"Originally, I planned to stay in Gaozhuang after visiting Wangtianshu, but when I saw the traffic jam in Gaozhuang during the Spring Festival, I decisively cancelled the hotel there and booked this hotel temporarily. It is probably the best hotel in Mengla County. The facilities are relatively new, but the environment is not that good. It is okay to stay for one night. Because it was booked temporarily, the ordinary room type of more than 900 is a bit expensive. Children over 1.2 meters tall have to pay extra for breakfast. The money is not much, but this is the first hotel that requires extra money for a 9-day stay during the Spring Festival, which seems ungenerous."

The hotel isn't far from Manlongle, and the Saturday market there is definitely worth a visit – it offers an authentic Dai ethnic experience with great food and shopping. I had a wonderful time and rested well. The hotel offers great value for money, and I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit!"

ROYAL WATERLILY HOTEL
"The Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is about 50 kilometers from Jinghong city. Its East and West sections are quite large, and a full day isn't enough to explore everything. I'd read stories about botanists from the Academy before, so I made the botanical garden a priority and decided to stay at a hotel within it. The room rate I booked online included entrance tickets, which made it a pretty good deal for two people. After our rental car arrived at the East Gate, I called the hotel front desk, and they allowed us to enter. On the afternoon of our arrival, we explored the larger East Section's rainforest, which offered a stunning view of various rainforest vegetation. The hotel's restaurant was quite good; the local dishes at dinner were authentic, and I even saw family gatherings of XTBG staff – quite a change from how their predecessors lived! The next morning, we hired a guide and toured the different areas of the West Section. All in all, choosing to stay at the botanical garden hotel made this trip incredibly rewarding. Facilities: The in-room facilities met our needs, and the small balcony offered views of the flora and fauna. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: The botanical garden environment is unique and relaxing. Service: The front desk and restaurant service were excellent, and the breakfast offered a good variety, including local specialty snacks."

It boasts a tranquil and beautiful village, and incredibly hospitable villagers who took us on a rainforest hike – right in the middle of elephant treks! The kids were thrilled! There were also activities like making zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) and handbags. Just in time for the ***** New Year, we caught the village's pig-slaughtering feast, sharing the delicious food with the villagers and feeling their genuine, simple smiles. As night fell, at the bonfire party, everyone danced, releasing their inner joy and happiness in a joyful atmosphere. Here, happiness is so simple!"

"The location is great, not far from the botanical garden, and right next to a large supermarket and farmers' market. There's no need to take a taxi to the Starlight Night Market at night; the streets are full of food stalls. However, the fruit here didn't seem very fresh. The guesthouse seemed recently renovated. The young man helped us check in and specially chose a super large room for us—a two-bedroom apartment with a kitchen in the middle. Unfortunately, we had an elderly person with us who needed a toilet, so we missed out on the larger room. The toilet was supposed to be a smart toilet, but it seemed to only have a heating function, unlike the ones at home. It didn't have a bidet function, but we were still very satisfied. The guesthouse has an elevator, what more could you ask for? If every room had a toilet, it would be even more convenient for travelers, since after a long day of hiking, everyone wants to sit down and relieve themselves. I wish the host great success in their business. I'll definitely stay at your place again if I have the chance."
