Find 2-Star Hotels in Mengla

I had planned to go to Banna for a few days during the Spring Festival. When I booked a hotel on Ctrip, I found that the room rates had doubled. The 7 Days Inn chain, which usually costs only over 100 yuan, also soared to over 1,000 yuan a night (the people of Banna want to make back the money they didn't make in three years in 7 days). What I hate most is these places that rip off customers like crazy during holidays. So I decided to change my plan and go to Luang Prabang, Laos. Since it is not possible to buy D87 transit train tickets during the Spring Festival, you can only buy tickets in sections, first Kunming-Mohan, then cross the border in Mohan to Boten, Laos, and then Boten-Luang Prabang. I took the train to Mohan on February 13th and booked this homestay on Ctrip. It has a high score of 4.8 on Ctrip, so it must be good. I contacted the hotel before arriving in Mohan, and the hotel guy said that he would pick me up at the train station and send me to the border the next day. Sure enough, as soon as I got out of the station, the young man was waiting on the road in front of the train station. After checking in, I was amazed by the intelligence of the hotel, including smart curtains, smart toilets, and showers with digital temperature display. The room was spacious and tidy, and the bedding was clean and fresh. Although I have stayed in many B&Bs, this one is definitely the ceiling among B&Bs. Moreover, the guy is very handsome, and I’m worried that the girl will continue to stay! The only regret is that the hotel does not have breakfast, it would be perfect if there was breakfast.

The environment and hygiene are quite good, and it's relatively close to the customs checkpoint.

This stay experience is really full 💯! The room is clean and tidy, and the simple and warm style makes people feel relaxed as soon as they enter the door. The two beds are spacious and comfortable, with bright lighting, and the whole person is refreshed after waking up. The configuration of the public area is also very intimate. The washing and drying machine in the laundry room solves the trouble of travel laundry. The tea area also has a variety of tea and health ingredients. It is pleasant and warm to cook a pot of hot tea in the morning. The service of the staff is also very meticulous and responsive. Whether it is the facilities or the atmosphere, you can feel the store's intentions, which is a comfortable accommodation that people want to come again.

I came to the Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to visit this place. It is in a town called Menglun Town. I didn’t expect the hotel here to be so good. I thought that the accommodation environment of only ten or twenty square meters would be good. Later, I searched it on Ctrip When you get to this store, the environment is okay, but it's not easy to find. He's at a small door next to the supermarket. Then contact the owner. He won't meet you during the whole process, but he will guide you through WeChat. This small door can be accessed directly from the supermarket by pressing the code. Once you go up, you will find a separate room. There is also a courtyard outside. The room is quite large. The living room and bedroom also have their own cupboards. Well, it is quite good. There are sofas and so on. Beds and stuff and its patio. At first glance, it seems that it has been carefully thought out. It is already quite good for this town. The only drawback is that the room is designed between two buildings. The windows are blocked and the ventilation is relatively poor. It's not very good, but if you stay for a short time, you don't have to worry about it. However, if you have allergies or something like this, the bedding, this one, and this towel, I feel like it's not special if it's not washed or aired. The cleanliness may be caused by insufficient lighting in the room. If you have some allergies or something, you should not stay there. Others are quite good.

The hotel is closed to the bus station . It is also close to the hotel where you can take a direct bus to 望天𣗳. The food option is quite limited. The area appears dead. It is better to stay near the night market which is about 3 km away . That area is livelier and full of activities.   The hotel offers no breakfast which is a negative for me. The room is pretty basic. There is a low cocktail that you can’t use it as a table to have a meal. There is not much to do in Mengle without  a car. i checked out 1 day earlier because I think 2 nights is more than enough for a sleepy town. The staff is helpful though . They offered good information about 望天樹. The room is clean.I don’t remember if  it offers any tea but definitely no coffee.  Overall, for the price that it charges, I don’t have a lot of complaints.  

The most surprising experience of this trip to Mengla was the Levande Hotel! It's right near the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and only a 20-minute drive to the Wangtianshu Scenic Area (the front desk lady was so kind to let me know there's a weekend market going on there—you can ride a shared electric bus to experience the unique local night market life). You can even see Dai villages along the way. The location is perfect! Another comfort and convenience feature is the hotel's free pick-up service (because it was already past 7 p.m. and I hadn't realized how hard it was to get a taxi. After waiting for half an hour with no one to respond, I realized the hotel offered a pick-up service and quickly contacted the hotel through the booking process. The driver was incredibly friendly!) The hotel room was even bigger than I expected! Over 30 square meters was plenty comfortable! The tropical decor, large windows, and cleanliness were topped off! The disposable bath towels were especially impressive: individually sealed, thick, and lint-free. Upon opening, we found a thick, non-woven fabric that's highly absorbent and lint-free (a reassuring thought for those of us who are particular about hygiene and attention to detail).

The overall is spacious and bright, with a little Thai style. But it is indeed like everyone said in the online review, the front desk brother is not cold or hot, not very bad, but not like a service industry. Facing the road, there is still some noise. But there is a more disgusting picture, I did not dare to use the glass cup in the bathroom when I brushed my teeth. I was going to brush my teeth with a tea cup in the room, but it turned out to be even more disgusting. There was water in both tea cups and dirty things.

I came to this hotel on the border by car, had tea and chatted with the boss on the first floor, and finally bought some tea. As an overnight hotel, I gave five points for this hotel. Boss, I gave 5 points because the full score is 10 points.

The experience of staying at this hotel was satisfactory. The room is spacious and bright, and the furniture is neat and generous. The bedding is comfortable and the bathroom supplies are of high quality. The staff are warm and considerate and are ready to help solve problems. The location is convenient, close to attractions and shopping areas. All in all, highly recommended!

The customer service staff of a group of young men were very enthusiastic and carefully introduced the regulations of Mohan Port. There was a gecko in one room at first, but they immediately changed to another room. They were given 2 extra bottles of pure water and it was convenient to park in front of the door to get things.
