I had planned to go to Banna for a few days during the Spring Festival. When I booked a hotel on Ctrip, I found that the room rates had doubled. The 7 Days Inn chain, which usually costs only over 100 yuan, also soared to over 1,000 yuan a night (the people of Banna want to make back the money they didn't make in three years in 7 days). What I hate most is these places that rip off customers like crazy during holidays. So I decided to change my plan and go to Luang Prabang, Laos. Since it is not possible to buy D87 transit train tickets during the Spring Festival, you can only buy tickets in sections, first Kunming-Mohan, then cross the border in Mohan to Boten, Laos, and then Boten-Luang Prabang. I took the train to Mohan on February 13th and booked this homestay on Ctrip. It has a high score of 4.8 on Ctrip, so it must be good. I contacted the hotel before arriving in Mohan, and the hotel guy said that he would pick me up at the train station and send me to the border the next day. Sure enough, as soon as I got out of the station, the young man was waiting on the road in front of the train station. After checking in, I was amazed by the intelligence of the hotel, including smart curtains, smart toilets, and showers with digital temperature display. The room was spacious and tidy, and the bedding was clean and fresh. Although I have stayed in many B&Bs, this one is definitely the ceiling among B&Bs. Moreover, the guy is very handsome, and I’m worried that the girl will continue to stay! The only regret is that the hotel does not have breakfast, it would be perfect if there was breakfast.

It was a perfect stop before passing the border of Lao. The employees are great and helpful. They could even provide us with some cash to be able to pay our visa at the border. The breakfast buffet was delicious, they even made something special for us as they thought we don't like chinese breakfast. The room was beautiful and very clean with a very nice view on a lushy green scenery. The bed was very confortable. They had already turn on the AC before we enter the room, that shows such a good service. There is a very good restauraurant ”Jinsong...” just 5 min walk on the main road. Would recommend 100%

This hotel was amazing. It’s only a year old but the amenities look like it’s brand new and inside of the room seems no different from a five-star. The only thing missing was a bathroom scale. Nice courtyard pool below just big enough to do some short laps and a kilometer from the night market. Interesting little area and they have street side eatery outside with a good view. The best part though is the manager Mr. Wu was exceptionally helpful. When he saw me arriving by bicycle, he did everything he could to make my stay more pleasant and even offered to go the extra mile with extra service and help. An unbelievable bargain, and a nice end to my journey. 

Facilities: The hotel is very close to the Xiyuan Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. They can arrange an electric buggy to take you directly to the nearest entrance, which is quite convenient. The most noteworthy feature is the outdoor swimming pool – it's very spacious, with a depth of 1.2-1.5 meters, making it suitable for children. Plus, its riverside location is perfect for photos. Hygiene: Despite being set in a garden, the hygiene is well-maintained. We didn't encounter any mosquitoes or other insects, which was great. Environment: The environment is outstanding. The balcony directly overlooks the rainforest, though it can be a bit spooky at night. Service: Electric buggies are available for transport between the rooms and the lobby, and their response time is very prompt. First night minibar: The hotel seemed to anticipate that guests might return late from night tours, and children might be too exhausted to eat. The instant noodles provided in the room really came in handy – a thoughtful touch!

Although the hotel I stayed at this time did not include breakfast, the overall experience was very good, and the price in the early 100s completely exceeded my expectations. First of all, the location is excellent. The hotel is right next to the government center and it takes only 8 minutes to walk to the subway station. It is super convenient to go to the attractions and business districts. There are also many places to eat around, convenience stores, breakfast shops, various restaurants are all available, completely making up for the inconvenience of no restaurant, but choosing more diverse. Secondly, the room was clean and tidy. This is my most important point. Although the room is not big, the layout is reasonable, the bedding is clean and comfortable, and there is no smell. The bathroom was cleaned thoroughly, the wet and dry separation was done well, and the toiletries were complete. The sound insulation effect is much better than I expected, it is quiet at night, and the quality of sleep is very high. Finally, the service is thoughtful. The front desk staff was very welcoming and the check-in and check-out were very fast. I needed to print things temporarily, and the front desk was very happy to help solve them. There were any problems during the stay and the response was very timely. Overall, this is a very cost-effective hotel. If you value the location, clean and convenient, and don't rely on the dining in the hotel, then this is definitely a very good choice. I will definitely stay here next time I come to this city!

The hotel's location is excellent; it's less than 2km from the botanical garden, which is super convenient. Plus, there are plenty of dining options nearby, so you definitely won't go hungry. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and accommodating. Highly recommended! The photos are of the botanical garden. I don't usually take pictures of hotel facilities; just doing this for the points, haha!

Though an old hotel with a squat toilet, this hotel provides excellent value for its price due to its warm service and convenient location near the train station. They provide free pick up and drop off service to and from the train station; the boss was also kind enough to take us to and pick us up from the Lao border for 40 yuan each way. Despite facing the road and hearing the morning roosters, the air-conditioning and strong water pressure made the room adequate for our needs.

According to county situation, hotel 🏨 is fine with all facilities. Hotel architecture is little bit old but it’s not bad. Rooms are clean. Location is perfect if you want to enter in Tropical botanical garden or CAS research institute from west door only need 1 minute walk on suspension bridge 🌁 and direct entrance of tropical botanical garden ( A must view scenic place very peaceful and beautiful garden. There is also a coffee , bars and massage centers as well as shops and markets. I will give 70/100 rating points to this hotel from all prospective.

The experience of staying at this hotel was satisfactory. The room is spacious and bright, and the furniture is neat and generous. The bedding is comfortable and the bathroom supplies are of high quality. The staff are warm and considerate and are ready to help solve problems. The location is convenient, close to attractions and shopping areas. All in all, highly recommended!

Bringing my son to play in the Yuanyuan Wonderland, I chose a hotel for a long time, and I felt that the hotel was in the scenic spot, so I chose this one. Throughout the process, the hotel's service is thoughtful and welcoming. The battery car will pick up and drop off at the visitor center. The room is relatively large. There is a large green rice field behind it. There is a small river next to it. The lawn is behind it, and the front and back are unobstructed. The rest is very quiet at night and the air is fresh. Breakfast was eaten at Huajianyuan Hotel and it was very rich. Very satisfied!
