"This is a truly upscale resort! It boasts 59 villas, each with a private pool! The privacy is excellent, as the rooms are spaced far apart with high walls, which is a big plus. The service is meticulous and responsive to every request! Our private butler, Katerin, was fantastic and always available to assist. I asked the hotel for a small snake plushie, and they specially brought one over for me. They also provided umbrellas, blue boarding passes, woven bags, perfume, and a whole host of skincare products. This hotel is incredibly photogenic; every little corner offers a beautiful photo opportunity! I highly recommend the cliffside ocean view rooms – they are stunning and absolutely worth the price. At night, the stars shine brightly – a truly starry spectacle 🌌. The resort also features a public infinity pool, a kids' club, and a gift shop. There's also a rather pricey spa, costing around a thousand per person. I highly recommend the Balinese four-hand massage; it's amazing! There's an elevator that takes you down to the resort's private beach 🏖️. You'll need to walk an additional 200-plus steps, but it's incredibly beautiful. The sea breeze feels wonderful, and you can even take a nap on a lounge chair! There are also complimentary Balinese cultural activities available, such as purification ceremonies, traditional Kamasan painting, and yoga… you'll never be bored! Be mindful of monkeys 🐒; do not leave food outside, as they will snatch it. The food is decent; the Indonesian restaurant is particularly delicious, and they even customized dishes for me (as I have many allergies) with excellent service! The resort also delivers vegetarian desserts to the room daily [playful emoji]. There's a Bulgari luxury store, offering guests a 92% discount. The Serpenti collection is absolutely gorgeous! I fell in love with the rose gold ring with diamond heads and tails 🤩. The sales associate was incredibly patient, letting me try on various pieces even though I didn't make a purchase. Since our flight was in the early hours of the morning, the resort kindly extended our check-out until 8 AM free of charge, so at least we had somewhere to stay… The airport transfer service was incredibly thorough! A private car took us to the airport, they helped us with baggage check-in and tax refunds, and someone even escorted us to our boarding gate. Our luggage was handled throughout, and they helped us immensely in an unfamiliar airport!"

"⭐️ Amandari ⭐️ This old-money style countryside resort has only 30 villas, with rooms that blend seamlessly with nature – featuring 24-hour 5D surround sound 🎧. You'll find coconut trees and terraced rice paddies everywhere, and just a short walk down some steps leads to the Ayung River. The rooms are surrounded by high walls, ensuring excellent privacy 👍. There's a communal infinity pool, but it's usually empty (it felt like we had the place to ourselves, haha!). As soon as you sit down, someone brings towels, drinks, and frozen grapes. Across from the pool, someone even plays Balinese traditional music! 🎵🎶 They also have a library, tennis court, spa, and sauna. The service is incredibly attentive! You don't even have to say your room number; the staff already knows where you're staying. You can also tell your dedicated butler if you need anything. I casually mentioned I liked the smell of lemongrass, and they found a fragrance shop for me and even gave me two bottles of lemongrass mosquito repellent! They also gave me three extra luggage tags, several green sarongs, a woven straw bag, and local wooden handicrafts [claps]. The beds have mosquito nets, and they even light mosquito coils, so there are no bugs. Every time we left the room, the staff would come to tidy up, change towels, and turn down the bed. It was lovely to return to a clean bed and desk. For the past two days, the kitchen has specially prepared egg-free and dairy-free desserts for me 🍮, and they confirmed there were no allergens in any of my meals. The overall service is so thoughtful; I loved it! 😍 This morning, they arranged a dedicated car for a round trip to the Ubud market, which was super convenient. They'll also drive us to our next hotel, and their attitude is excellent. When we left, they gave me a bunch of pastries and a volcanic stone bracelet, wishing me blessings and good luck 🍀. This truly is an amazing resort, highly recommended! 100% recommend to anyone who loves island getaways 🏝️"

"Mandapa is nestled in the Ubud forest, surrounded by rainforest and built into the mountainside. It's a secluded sanctuary, perfect for cleansing the soul and allowing me to slowly and peacefully savor every day of my vacation. I was particularly impressed with their butler service. During my three-day, two-night stay, everything was meticulously planned for me, from the transfer service to and from the hotel in Jimbaran Bay, to my river adventure, spa appointments, scheduled photography session, and dinner reservations. My butler orchestrated everything, acting like a personal secretary. Furthermore, most of the hotel's restaurants are outdoors, allowing guests to dine amidst the forest. Surprisingly, the environmental hygiene and insect control were excellent, which I truly appreciated. The villa's cleanliness was also ideal; I didn't spot a single spiderweb, ant, small spider, or any other insect or dust mite within the 430-square-meter villa. The hygiene was superb. The overall ambiance of the hotel felt incredibly serene and relaxing, making it perfectly suited for couples to enjoy a slow-paced, leisurely trip. Regarding the food, I tried breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner at three of their restaurants. The dining atmosphere and food quality were consistently excellent. The spa lived up to the standards of a 6-star hotel! Given its Michelin 3-star status, the hotel truly meets that benchmark. One minor thing to note is that during dinner at one of their Indonesian restaurants, there's a traditional Indonesian dance performance where performers wear a deity mask. This might make some guests, especially those with young children, feel uncomfortable or even frightened. This is something to be aware of."

The room has an open-plan layout, and there's a hidden air conditioner above the bed, so no need to worry about humidity. "Excellent! An established hotel really delivers. Great environment and warm service. The room view and cleanliness were top-notch. Housekeeping came twice a day, quickly and without disturbing guests. They were incredibly responsive to all requests. Even as I was leaving, they helped me double-check my luggage. I moved from the Four Seasons to the Amankora, and the Four Seasons even helped confirm my driver, making sure I had a ride. The drop-off in service at the Amankora is huge; it's really not as good as the Four Seasons. I wish I could go back!"
