"Pros: Location (8-10 min drive to the airport), near warungs and convenience stores, 10-15 walk to Kuta Beach. Staff were lovely, easy check in and check out process. Cons: Limited amenities (but for the price we paid - I can’t really complain). The sheets had some stains. As a 1 day stay to have easy access to airport, its a good hotel."

"My first stop in Bali was Kuta, and this hotel was a great choice. It's super close to the airport, which is perfect for late-night arrivals. The hotel offers excellent value for money, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It's also conveniently located for getting around. If you enjoy walking, it's not a long stroll to Beachwalk, and you'll even pass through Jalan Legian, soaking in the local sights and culture along the way. The hotel does have a pool, but it's on the smaller side, and I didn't get a chance to use it. This isn't really a hotel for just lounging around; it's more suited for travelers who plan to be out exploring daily or those catching a flight, and who don't have super high expectations for their accommodation."

Amazing
UUtsav AryalWe had an amazing stay at The Royal Purnama. We booked their Chempaka Villa for 3 nights which had its own private plunge pool and we were not disappointed. The amenities were very impressive, the rooms in itself were really Preety with the pool access from any room of the Villa. The isolated location although might make this not an easily accessible hotel but that makes it special and secluded. It is near Ubud or If you are looking to go to east so that is why we booked it for our first three nights in Bali there to save us some time. We enjoyed their complimentary afternoon tea and the amazing service in their Standing Stand restaurant and their Spa as well which were amazing. The staffs are really amazing and they are so friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay back in this place in the future.

LLim Ke WenHad one of the best stays ever and we already thought of considering coming back here the next time we're in Bali to enjoy its vibes The breakfast buffet is reasonably varied and tasty. The beach is quite clean, and probably has one of the better beaches in Nusa Dua. Our room is reasonably big and quite nice, but definitely has seen its age, hope the management would renovate those rooms soon.

GGuest UserThe room was exactly as pictured and described. The breakfast wasn't great; there was no congee with noodles, only plain congee, milk, bread, and coffee (which was decent when made fresh). The 'Seafood Carnival' was a disappointment. 🤔 It wasn't as good as the first convenience store to the left across from the hotel. That place has a huge seafood platter for just over 300, and it's incredibly fresh. The lobster and tiger prawns with garlic butter sauce are especially worth trying there. The hotel's seafood tasted like it had been frozen and wasn't very fresh, though the live music and atmosphere were a plus. The seafood platter shown in the picture is not from the hotel. What truly stands out is the fantastic service and warm smiles from every single staff member. They genuinely care, and I would definitely come back again.

AAnonymous UserRoom was spacious, both the bed and sofa bed were comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, massive selection of food. Pool was great as well. The staff were friendly and polite. However, we were let down by maintenance and hygiene standards that did not match the price tag. Found an old food packaging in the fridge upon arrival, and over the course of our stay the bathroom had a water leak near the toilet along with a clogged shower drain. The hotel also gave off a ”penny-pinching” vibe such as charging for a glass of plain water at the restaurant. The beach attached to the resort was also subpar compared to other 5 star properties in the area.

AAnonymous UserCheck in was smooth. Staffs were friendly. Hotel is huge, they have 3 blocks. I got the far end of the block which was a little bit away from the reception and the restaurants and the open space for smoking. In 2 circumstances, i walked up to the room and the door card could not work. This happened in 2 different nights. I had to walk down and got it reset, but the staffs didnt bother to apologise for this. The first time it happened I was okay, but the second time it happened, I got pissed off, because it was a long walk from the room to the reception. If you order food delivery, it will be a long walk to take your food at the reception. If you got the rooms at the reception level, I'm sure it will be a great experience like the first time I was there in the Junior Suite, but this time it was not as pleasant. Thumbs up though for the housekeeping, as the found out I had many shirts lying on the sofa, they brought a small clothes rack and hung my shirts.

AAnonymous UserWhen I arrived, I was fortunate that there was a lady near reception to help with check in. When I was checking out, I had to go upstairs to find someone. I also had to go upstairs to request for hair dryer as it wasn't provided in the room. The WhatsApp number provided for any requests was useless as I couldn't call or message the number and had to keep going upstairs. I think that is really not good as there should always be someone at reception to attend to any requests. The room itself was ok but I saw a lizard and ants at the sink. Cleanliness has room for improvement. The jungle view was not too bad but there was also ant on the floor so I didn't open the door. It would be better if they can also make up the room and clear the rubbish. Location was great though.

AAmanda MarieStayed here for just 2 night as hadn’t been to the area before and wanted to see what it was like. Beautiful place and gorgeous room and gardens. Clean and very well maintained. Only issues were minor-  anytime we tried to phone for room service or reception you’d have to call 2-3 times before anyone picked up. I think there were 3 or 4 restaurants on the premises but they pretty much all had the same menu and it was nothing to blow your socks off. I had a late night sweet tooth this trip and was very disappointed with the room service deserts. We had cheesecake with no flavour at all and a very tiny brownie that came with a very small scoop of ice cream that I think was sitting on a small piece of bread. I think it was meant to be sponge cake but it looked and tasted like bread. Also had 3 small old strawberries and a smidge of chocolate sauce that was not very nice. The menu said it came with a maracuya sauce (passion fruit) which it didn’t- there was no mention of the strawberries which could be an issue if anyone had an allergy. I ordered iced lattes which were quite nice but a very small glass for the size. I asked for a bit of ice cream to be added and was charged for a whole serve of icecream which made it about $12AU which was double what I’ve payed anywhere else in Bali. I did mention this to staff who deducted the cost of the ice cream which I appreciated. Any Bali hotel we’ve stayed at, you can pop your dirty cups/dishes outside the door and they will be collected. Ours sat there for 24 hours even when we had staff come to the room to deliver room service. Travelled with a smoker and while you couldn’t smoke at the pool bar you were allowed to smoke on balconies and around the pool. Asked at the pool bar for an ashtray who didn’t have any and told us to go to the towel bar who didn’t have any and didn’t know where you could get one. Was then directed to a different area to ask and they gave us a plate to use. I saw people putting their cigarettes in the garden and spare bottles as there were no ashtrays available. We gave up asking for one for use on our balcony. Beautiful grounds and if smoking is allowed they should provide what’s needed or some people may just throw them on the floor which would be disappointing. If relaxing by the beach you had to walk back to the pool bar to get a drink which was a pain.  Our room had very good aircon, was very spacious and beautiful and had comfy beds. Probably the best maintained room I’ve stayed at in Bali. A good amount of PowerPoints and it was the first Bali resort I’ve stayed at that had adequate power points that our plugs didn’t keep slipping out of. I did request twin beds and to be close to the pool which other hotels didn’t even try to accommodate but Sol by Melia provided this immediately. A few families there with small children and while the resort was kid friendly to an extent, it’s maybe not the ideal place for small children. Many people trying to read by the pool and relax with small kids yelling and crying. I didn’t see any obvious play area for kids, nothing significant anyway. There’s one pool with one shallow area for kids but it’s just a little kid pool which meant they were not very entertained and were getting frustrated. If ours were still little we’d probably go somewhere tailored to kids. All in all a good stay but we did get a good deal on the room. $165AU a night with Trip.com which was significantly less than some booking sites and still cheaper than booking direct. It was nice but I wouldn’t pay the regular rate. Would I recommend- yes I think I would. Just the room alone was worth it and we had the most basic room which was very large

DDaniel64This is our 4th time of staying in this hotel also our second time in Alam Villa. But after compared to last time we stayed in 2018, it's sad to say this hotel is going down hill. The hotel is severly under staff, things are getting old, pipes are leaking. Compared to the same Anniversary holiday, we had a different experience and treatment this time. We do hope the hotel management can do something to improve. Still, we still recommend this hotel to someone who has limited budget.

AAnonymous UserStaying here was a real retreat. The room which has pool access we booked was clean, spacious, intimate bcs there only a few room. Our room was very close to the dining gazebo where there were some plugs so we could working with our laptop with a sight of ricefields. the bathroom has a good warm water shower. I love when the morning sun can penetrate to the room. Nasi goreng and Mie goreng for breakfast are quite tasty. - But sometimes you can hear a gecko at night and unfortunately during our 2n3d stay, there were no one clean and make up our room. Also tissue and water didn't get refilled.
