"On our first day, we arrived to find a lot of guests, and our room wasn't ready even after a long wait. The lobby manager (I think her name was Cheng Jing) immediately helped us coordinate another room. Xiao Lin, who was in charge of reception, even added me on WeChat to proactively share details about our stay and a guide to exploring Beihai. Having stayed at many hotels, Marriott's service definitely ranks number one for me. And the hotel facilities are top-notch, no need to even mention them – the room type, location, and amenities are all fantastic! We initially planned to stay for two days, but my wife and kids were so comfortable that we extended our stay for another two. We'll definitely choose Marriott again when we come back to Beihai."

"I chose this hotel on Trip.com and I'm so glad I did, I loved it! Very satisfied! It's super close to Beihai Golden Beach. From the floor-to-ceiling windows in the room, you can gaze out at the sea and the boardwalk, with the beautiful blue coast as the main theme – it's incredibly peaceful. What's even better is the exclusive private access directly to the beach, it's just a two or three-minute walk! The privacy and security are excellent, I really loved it. After coming back from the beach, you can relax and cool off in the back garden right above the pathway, and there's also a huge and beautiful infinity pool!"

"Weizhou Island Giant Whale Hotel | Absolutely Divine! This is what an island vacation should be like. Initially, my first day on Weizhou Island was a huge disappointment! The weather was gloomy, and the seawater wasn't as clear as I'd imagined. Other islands I've visited before were much more enjoyable than this one. I complained the whole way, my mood hit rock bottom, and I even thought this trip was going to be a disaster. That is, until I checked into the Giant Whale Hotel – I was instantly and thoroughly cured, feeling like all the previous frustrations were worth it! I have to give a huge shout-out to the concierge team! From the moment we arrived on the island, we didn't have to worry about a thing. They contacted us in advance to confirm our itinerary, and there was a dedicated transfer car waiting for us at the pier, so we didn't have to squeeze into crowded transport or figure out directions ourselves. They handled our luggage and check-in perfectly. Any questions we had for the concierge were answered instantly, with patience and enthusiasm. They also provided super practical travel tips, which was much better than just wandering around on our own. What touched us most was that during check-in, the concierge learned it was my wife's and my wedding anniversary, and they upgraded our room type for free! The new room had an absolutely stunning view; the entire floor-to-ceiling window framed the seascape like a painting. The 65sqm space was spacious and comfortable, and the sea-view bathtub by the window was incredibly romantic. Soaking in the bath while looking at the sea, all my fatigue just melted away. The details in the room were also very thoughtful: a Dyson hairdryer, SMEG kettle, and capsule coffee machine were all available, and the mini-bar was stocked with snacks. We had a wonderfully comfortable stay. The hotel environment is truly spectacular; every photo turned out amazing! The mirrored infinity pool blends perfectly with the sea level, and at sunset, the entire pool turns orange, making for incredible photos. The cliffside garden is surrounded by greenery, with a gentle sea breeze, which is incredibly pleasant and not crowded at all – so quiet and perfect for a vacation. There's also a professional photographer who helps guests take pictures for free, finding the most beautiful spots, and the original photos look great straight out of the camera. Now I genuinely feel that the Giant Whale Hotel is the best on Weizhou Island! The service is incredibly thoughtful, the environment is beautiful, and the stay is comfortable, elevating our entire trip experience to the highest level. If you want a comfortable stay and great photos on Weizhou Island, you must choose this place. It's definitely not a disappointment, and I'll stay here again next time!"

"Stayed at Crowne Plaza Beihai Silver Beach again during the Dragon Boat Festival. 1. The location is excellent, right next to Silver Beach. It's just a few minutes' walk to the sand. The room views are expansive, offering fantastic ocean vistas, making it super convenient for enjoying the beach. 2. The hotel's pool facilities are comprehensive, with clean water and a dedicated children's play area. My kids loved playing in the pool all day long – perfect for families. 3. There was a minor issue during our stay, but the staff responded very quickly after we reported it. The problem was handled properly and efficiently within a short time, which we really appreciated. Special thanks to these four thoughtful staff members: First, on June 20th, a tall, sturdy woman with glasses and short hair in the breakfast buffet restaurant was incredibly warm and attentive, offering help proactively and providing meticulous service. Second, the concierge gentleman who answered the phone around 5:40 PM on June 20th was very quick to resolve our issue, as was the engineering department uncle who came to our room afterward – he was efficient and polite. Third, the concierge uncle (with a bit of a belly, haha) on May 21st at noon, who proactively helped us with our luggage, carefully organizing it into the trunk. He was attentive and thorough throughout. Although it's not the newest hotel on Silver Beach, we've gotten used to it and will definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to Beihai."

"This stay was on the night before leaving Beihai at the end of our trip. The Wyndham's room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was also excellent. When we checked out, the staff enthusiastically helped us with our luggage to the car, so the service was great. The only downside was that the hairdryer in the room was very old-fashioned, making for a very unpleasant experience. I suggest they update it immediately to keep up with the times. (The other hotels we stayed at in Beihai and Weizhou Island all had Dyson hairdryers.) In comparison, this one felt very subpar and didn't match the hotel's positioning."

"This is my first time leaving a review voluntarily, and it's truly because I had such a wonderful stay! The hotel facilities are top-notch, but what really impressed me was the service. It was exceptional! A group chat was set up a day before our arrival, with seven staff members dedicated to our party of one. They responded instantly to all our requests. When we arrived, several butlers were waiting at the entrance. Each butler assisted one family, and I didn't have to carry my luggage once. When we left, the butler came to collect our luggage and arranged a car for us. Breakfast was served at our reserved time and was absolutely delicious. There was also afternoon tea and evening desserts. The mini-bar was fully stocked with food, drinks, and alcohol, and it was replenished daily. Upon entering our room, we were provided with aloe vera gel, sun umbrellas, and a small fan. The best part was the complimentary laundry and drying service—that was a real lifesaver! After swimming, we'd just toss our dirty clothes into a basket, and soon after, the butler would return them clean and folded. We could swim three times a day without worrying about running out of clothes. The bar at night was great too. It was closed the first night due to rain but opened the next day. I thought about ordering a Long Island Iced Tea, and to my surprise, the staff asked for my room number and informed me I had a 100-yuan voucher, so I didn't have to pay – a pleasant surprise! During our stay, there was a southwest swell, and ferry services were suspended the previous weekend, so we were worried about getting to the island. Thankfully, we made it smoothly. When we saw that a pool room was available, they upgraded us for one day (as other room types were fully booked for the second day). We were incredibly lucky that the guests in the pool room checked out the next day, and the hotel proactively extended our upgrade for another day, saving us the hassle of moving rooms. In short, everything was perfect, and there's so much more I haven't even mentioned. It's truly a top choice for a vacation! We stayed for two nights, then left for Beihai on the third day and stayed at another five-star hotel, but their service was incomparable. My daughter's first words the next morning were, 'Can they bring breakfast to us?' 😂😂😂 It was so good, we'll definitely be back!"

"The Sheraton Beihai Resort is located in Guantouling, which is a bit out of the way. The sand on Guantouling beach is quite coarse, and the waves are strong, so swimming isn't an option, and walking barefoot on the sand isn't pleasant. However, the sea here is a more beautiful and cleaner color than at Silver Beach. It's also much quieter, making it perfect for those who prefer to avoid crowds. It's an ideal place to just relax at the hotel and enjoy the sea view from your balcony. Feeling the sea breeze, listening to the waves, and gazing at the ocean are all very pleasant; the sea view is fantastic and the vista is expansive. My only minor gripe is the red house villa in front. There aren't many dining options nearby either; I opted for the hotel's breakfast buffet, which didn't have a huge variety and the taste was just average – enough to fill you up, but not particularly delicious. On the positive side, the hotel environment is excellent, very clean, and the service is incredibly warm. It's a great spot for lazy travelers who just want to relax at the hotel and enjoy the sea."

"For this May Day holiday, I chose the Shangri-La Hotel, and as an established hotel, the service was indeed excellent. Long before our arrival, they assigned Ivy, our butler, to assist us with various arrangements, making our check-in incredibly smooth. The hotel breakfast also has a children's area, though it's a bit small. Throughout our stay, any questions we had were answered promptly, and they even helped us book children's activities and a travel photoshoot."

"This time in Beihai, we stayed at Hualuxe with our child, and I have to commend our butler, Nan Xi, for being so thoughtful and meticulous. She made sure all our requests were met. The hotel has three pools, including an indoor heated pool and an outdoor infinity pool, providing an excellent swimming experience. The petting zoo has a great variety of animals, and my child loved feeding and interacting with them. It made entertaining the kids so much easier and stress-free. This is truly a treasure of a family-friendly resort. We'll definitely come back to this hotel if we get the chance!"

The lobby design really gives off a resort vibe, with its natural wood decor and ocean-themed ornaments – it feels both fresh and sophisticated. Even the air diffuser has a subtle sea salt scent, making you instantly relax. The service was impeccable. From the moment we arrived with baggage assistance to the thoughtful in-room service, the staff were always smiling and eager to help with any request. The breakfast spread was extensive and unique, which was a real highlight! The in-room facilities were also very well thought out. The mattress was just right, not too soft or too hard, so I slept incredibly well. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation too. Overall, a really wonderful stay! ^_^"
