Hotels near Science Park, Singapore

I booked this hotel for my in-laws for their first trip to SG. The location is superb, close to Kent Ridge MRT. And there are so many amenities. The location is good. The staff even gave a complementary late check out because I explained that my in-laws’ plane ride is at 3am so they had extra time to rest.

I stayed at the Alexandra Hotel on Alexandra Road in mid-May with my child for an exam in Singapore. The location is excellent, right next to IKEA, and you can even see The Interlace, Singapore's famous 'Jenga block' residential complex. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and public buses are readily available. The MRT is a bit of a walk, about twelve minutes. If you're going further than two kilometers, I'd recommend taking a taxi; Grab (Gao De) is usually the best option. The hotel's seventh floor houses the breakfast restaurant, gym, and swimming pool. The pool is fantastic – a much better experience than typical five-star hotel pools. The room had great soundproofing and effective air conditioning. They don't provide bottled water, but there's drinkable tap water. They offer two complimentary sachets of instant American coffee and tea bags. Additionally, toothbrushes (no toothpaste, you need to request it from the hotel), cotton swabs, and disposable slippers are provided. The overall service was superb, especially the lobby staff. HUNG, SIMIE, ALIF, and IRISH were all very nice and enthusiastic. HUNG, in particular, was incredibly helpful in communicating directions with our taxi driver. 👍 I highly recommend this hotel for your consideration.

Pros: Pretty clean and suitable for those looking for a unique experience. Definitely not for long-term stays, as the space is quite small. If you're on a tight budget in Singapore or here for a concert and don't have high demands for accommodation, this could be an option. The bottom bunk has a Xiaomi TV where you can watch various types of shows without needing a VIP subscription (great for TV lovers, haha). The main language is English, and there's an option for subtitles. You can only watch it from bed, and watching for too long or too close might strain your eyes. Areas for Improvement: No slippers or toiletries are provided, so you need to bring your own. The upper bunk is directly under the air conditioning, which can affect sleep. The bunks are quite close together, so if someone next door is checking out in the morning, it's probably best not to clean too early, as it can disturb others' sleep. Cons: Small space. Taller individuals or those who are overweight should probably avoid this option.

Facilities: The cottage I stayed in is detached, not inside the main building, so the soundproofing was a bit lacking. Cleanliness: Good. Environment: It's in a relatively quiet area, surrounded by apartments. Across the street, there are restaurants, bars, a supermarket, and a bakery. Service: Good.

Travelodge Harbourfront is a practical option for travelers who value location and affordability. The room is admittedly quite small, but it works well for business stays or trips where you do not plan to spend much time indoors. The shower had strong water pressure, which was a nice plus, and the bed was comfortable enough for a good rest after a long day out. Breakfast could definitely be improved. The selection felt limited and leaned heavily toward less healthy processed items such as sausages. On one occasion, the fried chicken was also undercooked, which was disappointing. Overall, if you need convenient access to Sentosa and are traveling on a budget, this is still a good and convenient place to stay.

The room, as is typical for Singapore, was a bit small but very clean. Behind the hotel, there's a small hill perfect for a leisurely stroll, with a hiking trail that takes about an hour to complete. Right outside is a bus stop, and it's only three stops to VivoCity, making transportation very convenient. However, there aren't any hawker centers nearby, so you'll need to take a bus to find places to eat.

Our toilet floor gets wet each time we showered as the water seeps through the glass pane. Housekeeping was nice to give us extra towels , floor mats . Maintainance was called and he was good enough to change the rubber. However it does not solve the problems. So we always have a wet toilet floor which is very unpleasant. Our room has a lot of ants. Other than that nothing much to comment. Kudos to housekeeping

Ive bn booking there for quite sometimes. 🏨 The hotel is quiet ok at night the hotel is very quiet u dun even can hear plp walking really private... 🤫 Bt one thing they dun allow us to smoke inside the rm. 🚭 if theres is n we cud choose its better. bt it ok we can till haf a puff below. 🚬 They provide wifi bt its boring they dun provide Netflix. 😴 The location is gd also as im staying west side. 🗺️ Easy to find foods near the hotel alot of varieties. 🍜 If u like to eat ACAI theres is also. 🍓 can consider e plc.. 👍

Small but perfectly formed, this hotel has everything you need. The location is excellent, making it super convenient to get around, and there's plenty of stuff nearby. It'll definitely be my first choice next time I'm in town. Thanks for the great service, and I wish the hotel all the best!

Ugh, I forgot to take photos, so I'll use some random ones instead. First off, I chose this place because it's super close to Universal Studios, and I figured a chain hotel wouldn't be too bad. But the price wasn't exactly cheap – I paid over 480 for a queen room. I know hotels in Singapore are pricey, so this was within my expected budget; I'd already come to terms with the cost. The front desk staff were all really nice. However, my heart sank when I opened the door. The room was tiny, and they don't provide slippers, toothbrushes, or cups, citing environmental reasons... though if you ask the front desk for a toothbrush, they'll give you one. For cleanliness, I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5 – not terrible, but not outstanding either. It's a small room but has all the essentials, though you definitely can't fit two suitcases in there; it felt really cramped. On the bright side, the soundproofing seemed pretty good. I'm not sure if there were no other guests or if everyone was just incredibly considerate, but I didn't hear any noise. Plus, I was so exhausted from sleeping at the airport the night before that I slept like a log. It was the best night's sleep of my entire trip, and I was genuinely shocked that I slept best in the smallest room... Oh, and the shower gel and shampoo are all-in-one, so if you're particular, you might want to bring your own.
