Hotels near CCTV Headquarters, Beijing

The hotel's location is pretty good, situated near the Guomao CBD and not too far from the subway station. It's newly renovated, with spacious rooms and modern amenities. The bathrobes are super comfortable! The toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) come in individual, sealed bottles, which feels more secure. The hotel entrance is a bit hidden, and there's some construction outside, so the exterior environment isn't great. However, the common areas inside the hotel are spacious and comfortable. The service overall is decent, with quick responses. But the facilities were a bit disappointing; the higher floor rooms were quite stuffy, and the windows only open a small amount, making it very hot and stuffy. (I don't think it was just my room, as I overheard another guest on the same floor in the elevator complaining about their room being stuffy too.) The hotel also didn't provide any cooling fans or portable AC units, which I think they should consider adding. My room keycard demagnetized easily; I came back after dinner one evening to find it wouldn't work. Also, according to Beijing regulations, smoking is not allowed in hotel guest rooms, but during my stay, some guests were smoking with their windows open, and the entire hallway smelled of smoke, which was very unpleasant. The hotel should really enforce this. Room cleaning was generally okay, but in the room I later switched to, there were some suspicious urine-like stains on the toilet seat, so the cleaning could be more thorough. Overall, it offers good value for money.

This was my first stay at the Grand Millennium Beijing, and it exceeded my expectations by far. It wasn't overly crowded, so it felt very peaceful and quiet. The swimming pool is a major highlight, integrated seamlessly with the gym on a different floor, creating a spacious, high-ceilinged area with a Southeast Asian vibe. I encountered many Hong Kongers there, from business travelers in the elevator to an elderly couple in the executive lounge; they were all very humble and friendly. The surrounding area boasts a wide variety of restaurants, and the Fortune Plaza Mall is practically a canteen for Beijing's white-collar workers. The night view is also top-notch, with the CCTV Headquarters lit up beautifully. A pleasant surprise was bumping into a celebrity while working out – the 'rooster among roosters,' haha. The Grand Millennium is fantastic, giving me every reason to return. The male manager who handled my check-in was very gracious, and the service was just perfect.

The hotel itself is fine, located in the prime Guomao area. Compared to the China World Hotel and Park Hyatt next door, this is the newest and most affordable option. Sticking to my preference for newer hotels, it's very photogenic and offers great value for money. However, the surrounding traffic can be quite congested, so definitely plan your commutes in advance.

The staff provided excellent service, handling guests with grace and offering meticulous care. Though the hotel is small, the rooms are cozy and the environment is quiet and uncluttered. It's located in Beijing's, or even the entire country's, only open high-end community, so you can imagine the sophisticated lifestyle amenities available. The venues within the complex for hosting friends and meetings are elegant and free from commercialization, making them an ideal choice. Being in the heart of the CBD, further explanation should be unnecessary!

Absolutely loved my stay at Dequan Luxury Hotel! The starry sky design creates a fantastic ambiance. The room was spacious, bright, and impeccably clean. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and the breakfast spread was amazing with a huge variety of options to choose from. The hotel's courtyard also has a pavilion where you can relax. The facilities are excellent, and it offers great value for money. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit!

North-facing room. The window view (p1-6) is a city landscape. The breakfast buffet (p7-15) offers a mix of Chinese and Western dishes. You can ask the chef to cook noodles or make omelets (I only overheard this, but saw other guests doing it). I encountered a polite and responsible young chef who, despite the busy peak hours, did his best to meet guests' needs. The front desk is on the 40th floor, where you can find complimentary fruit and bottled water. There's also a coffee machine offering espresso, regular coffee, and cappuccino (p16-17). All the front desk staff I interacted with were enthusiastic and polite, always ready to answer questions. Thank you. The cleaning staff provided excellent service. They usually cleaned in the afternoon. If the 'do not disturb' sign wasn't out, they would proactively knock and ask if cleaning was needed. They were efficient and professional, and always asked if I needed any items replenished. Sometimes, if something was overlooked, the staff would actively inquire if I still needed it, showing genuine consideration for guests. Thank you. Besides the front desk and restaurant, there's a small gym on the 40th floor, also with a city view. There are changing rooms outside the gym (p18). The in-room facilities are a bit dated; anything made of plastic has yellowed. However, all essential items are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with a complete set of tableware, pots, pans, and bowls. The air is dry, especially in the bedroom. You might want to bring a small humidifier.

Pro Location is King: It’s a 5-minute walk from Beijing Railway Station. If you’re catching an early train, this is a lifesaver. Vibe: It’s an old courtyard house (former home of Edgar Snow). It feels authentic and ”Old Beijing” rather than a sterile corporate box. Price: Very hard to beat for this part of the city. You get a lot of character for a budget price. Quiet: Even though it’s near the station, the courtyard setting keeps the street noise out. Cons Tight Squeeze: The rooms are not too big. If you're traveling with huge suitcases, you’ll be playing Tetris to move around. Finding It: It’s in a hutong. It’s charming, but your first time finding it with bags can be a bit of a hunt. Basic Bathrooms: They’re clean and functional, but don’t expect a spa-like setup. The Bottom Line It’s perfect for backpackers or solo travelers who want a cool, historic home base in Beijing

Stayed from the 6th to the 10th, and this is by far the best value-for-money five-star hotel I've stayed at in Beijing over the years! Not only is the location excellent, but the service is absolutely outstanding. On my first morning, I couldn't check in immediately, and a warm cup of water while I waited in the lobby made me feel so welcomed. All the staff were warm, enthusiastic, and attentive, truly making me feel at home. A special thank you to the friendly front desk and the concierge team. Even after I checked out, they diligently kept a package that was mistakenly delivered and promptly notified me. I was incredibly touched by their thoughtfulness!

I was really impressed with my stay at this hotel. The location is super convenient, making it easy to get around for business or shopping, and there are tons of great food options nearby. My room was spotless and fresh, with no strange smells. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, and the bathroom had a great dry/wet separation with fast-heating water and all the necessary toiletries. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and efficient with both check-in and check-out, and patiently answered all my questions. The soundproofing in the room was excellent, so I had a peaceful night's sleep. Overall, it offers fantastic value for money. The environment is quiet and comfortable, and the facilities are perfectly adequate. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area, whether it's for a business trip or just a one-night stay. I highly recommend it to everyone!

The hotel is within a 10-minute walk from the subway station, and there's a FamilyMart convenience store and pharmacy right downstairs. The room was a bit compact but the facilities seemed quite new and recently renovated. I stayed for two nights, and breakfast was delivered to the room. On the first day, it was delivered late, and I had to call to get it sent up. Even though it was cold, the staff were very polite and apologetic. On the second day, I initially didn't plan to extend my stay and had the front desk extend it by 2 hours, paying an additional fee. Later, due to my own reasons, I extended my stay for another day through the platform. However, the fee for the additional 2 hours was not refunded. Since I booked through the platform, the hotel had already processed the 2-hour extension I added. In the future, I'll need to be mindful of this kind of transaction; perhaps it would be better to book directly with the hotel next time.
