"The rent payment is not on the platform of normal trip. It is said that it is paid on arrival. In fact, you have to contact in advance. Because I didn't read the email, he didn't come when I checkedin. No one showed up during the whole process. I need to communicate in English. Our room is on the ground floor (parking floor) below, there is no elevator, we have to take an outdoor rotating staircase! It is impossible to carry luggage safely! This is extremely poor! "Hiking the OHenro, an inexpensive place to stay for 2 nights. Best part was the location, very quiet, close to the river. Hotel is dated, but good value, who cares if the bath tile is from the 80's, like all things Japanese, still spotless."

GGuest UserIt was a very nice hotel. It's located in the center of Kochi, so you won't have any trouble finding something to eat or drink.
It's also in the center of the triangle between Kochi Station, Kochi Castle, and Harimayabashi Bridge, so it's easy to get to anywhere. I even took a walk to Kochi Castle in the morning.
The building is a little old, but the room was very spacious and comfortable, so I was able to relax.
The unit bath was also very clean and I was able to use it comfortably.
The breakfast at the cafe in the building was also very luxurious, plentiful, and well seasoned. I was also grateful for the drinks at Umajimura.
I'll definitely use it again next time. It was a very nice hotel and comfortable.

The room is spacious, the hotel breakfast is healthy, especially the juice is nutritious and delicious. Laundry is free, but there is nothing to eat nearby, and it takes seven or eight minutes to walk.

The disadvantage is that the soundproofing is really bad. The neighbor speaks louder and I can clearly understand what is being said. Breakfast is just a simple salad with side dishes. SSerendipiterClose to JR station and booked a Japanese tatami room. There were about 9 tatami rooms, so I was lucky to stay for 2 nights. It was nice to have a large bath. In particular, the staff were very friendly and gave a lot of advice and help on the trip. The only inconvenience was the stairs at the entrance of the hotel.

ＮＮＹAlthough it takes appoximately 10 minutes from JR Kochi Station / JR高知駅 on foot, still has nice access to Hirome Shijo Market / ひろめ市場 where you can enjoy local specialty, bonito. Their staffs were great!

LLZHWhen we first arrived the front desk told us that we reserved a smoking room. In the trip.com booking it does not say so though. The front desk said all similar rooms for non-smoking were booked out.
We went up to the room but it smelled so bad that we asked agin for a different room showing them the booking. According to the hotel the booking was not directly forward to them by trip.com but by a different service therefore it varied from our actual booking. They were nice enough to give us a different room which was non-smoking. Unfortunately the room still smelled strange - at least no smoke smell.
Additionally there was almost no hot water coming out from the tap. In the photo the hot water was fully turned on.
Another issue was the parking. The one night stay fee was 1000 Yen (not for 24h). We checked out at 11 a.m. but decided to eat lunch in town and leave the car at the hotel parking. We took out the car at 2 pm and had to pay an additional fee of 1200 yen.
