"We were happy to spend the weekend at this resort. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location, it’s a very quiet place with its own beach, where you can go snorkeling and take nice walks. The marine life is quite diverse, so there’s plenty to see. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, where the food was quite good. The rooms are standard: a bed, a fridge, a safe, and a shower, but nothing fancy. There’s also a hotel transfer to the city center."
"Everything was impressive! While the accommodation isn't directly on the beach, it's only a 5-minute scooter ride away. The place is peaceful and secluded. They offer convenient pick-up and drop-off service to/from the pier. If you arrive before check-in, you can store your luggage, enjoy a welcome drink, and then leisurely explore the island on a scooter while waiting. You don't even need to rent one, and it comes with a full tank of gas! 😁 The owner is incredibly kind, offering recommendations for sights and restaurants. You can call them anytime if you have any questions. The room had a soft, comfortable bed and a wonderfully cool air conditioner. You only need to bring your clothes. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit and refreshing orange juice. On departure, they even gave us a unique and adorable souvenir! Highly recommend!!! Extremely impressed! It felt so warm and welcoming 🥰"
"We stayed one night in this hotel. We were surprised not by the large territory, but by the pool. From the photo it seemed like the pool was much bigger. We were placed on the 1st floor, the bathroom is not very convenient, the door to the bathroom is swollen and the whole bottom is black, to get to the toilet you need to go through the wet area of the shower. But it is not critical of course. Mosquitoes and small ants fly around the room. The breakfast is very mediocre, do not even expect that it will be enough for you - 2 pieces of bread and jam with butter, you could also take soup with an incomprehensible liquid)) We rested there with a 6-year-old child, and we would not stay more than one night) - and this applies to both the hotel and the island. The island is beautiful during the day, but not when it gets dark))"
"Brilliant location 5 minute walk from Ba Naan pier. Super welcoming host, provided free snacks and drinks throughout the day if needed. Great breakfast included also, loved the experience."
"I stay here for 2 days after being in the hostel and the space was really big for me hahaha it’s literally so big i was scared to sleep the first night. They grandma is helpful she called me a driver to go to the beach cus i was travelling alone and didn’t know how to ride a scooter. She cook chicken porridge for breakfast which was so yumm. Everything is good just the location if you’re gonna walk it’s a bit high up the hill but very close to some beautiful beaches where you can do a lot of water activity."
"The hotel service is very good, but it seems that only one waitress can communicate well in English, and the others can only understand but not speak very well.
The bed in the Hommy room felt hard and the bathroom was dark, but the sofa was comfortable. There is also a small door on the window that can be opened, which is very beautiful when the tide is high.
I prefer the Deluxe Room, which I purchased from the Hommy Room for 100 beads. The bed is close to the TV, and there are motorcycles provided. The bathtub looks beautiful, but the restaurant next to it seems that you can see you taking a bath.
The breakfast had limited options but was enough for me."
"I stayed here for two nights and woke up on my birthday while looking at a beautiful sunrise over the Gulf of Thailand / Gulf of Siam. We stayed in the Panoramic Double Room, and I think our balcony was about as big as our room! We had great views of the water and mountains, and it was super peaceful. The reservation included breakfast for two, AND we also got a complimentary motor bike (with free gas) during our stay. *** I had read about the motor bikes in other reviews and was skeptical, but our reservation did include the motor bike. (Maybe it depends on which type of room you book). The breakfast was nice, and I could hear birds chirping as I drank my coffee each morning.
We took the motor bike to Samae Beach one day, but I made sure we came back to the room before sunset because I knew it would be a beautiful view from our balcony. One night we walked to a nearby restaurant by the water and had dinner. The only down sides were: There were some ants in our room (but that is normal in Thailand), and a nearby club played loud music one night. Overall, I loved the place and would stay there again in the future."
"Very nice and nice hotel, we just fell in love with the gazebos in the center, we didn't want to leave them at all. Despite the fact that the hotel is located by the road, the rooms are very quiet and comfortable. If we go to Koh Lan again for the night, we will stay here again!😍"

Outstanding
KKanphitcha MariaWe had excellent stay at Portosalo, Koh Larn. The hotel is stunning, staff so friendly, breakfast was excellent
Big thank to khun Up at the reception he added such an elegant and special touch to our stay at the hotel.
GGuest UserThe location is only a 5 minute walk from the pier however golf cart transfer can be arranged with hotel. The owners were very polite and friendly and breakfast was well presented and served. The views over the bay were breathtaking and could be enjoyed in the shaded areas of the roof top terrace. The rooms were clean with plenty of space and all facilities well kept. Charger by the bedside, laundry soap, and picnic blanket were available. There's a nice smoothie place as you turn left on the main road and few restaurants with reasonable price when you walk further down. Lively night market with variety of food/snacks on sale. I would definitely re visit if retuning to island. Thank you for our stay.
GGuest UserWe were here from February 2 to 4, 2025. It is located close to the NaBaan pier, there is a market and cafes nearby. We rented a motorcycle for 2 days from them. The room is clean, the bed linen is fresh. The breakfast is delicious. The girls speak English, they are very friendly and smiling. But this is not the first time we have lived on the island in a similar guesthouse, you need to understand that this option will not suit very picky guests. But we liked everything!
シシントー741Breakfast is also affordable and good.
Location is convenient within walking distance from the port.
The smell of food in the hallway was a little bit tight.
There is also a pool, but it's just off the road, so it's not a feeling of swimming very much.
LLEO NG 1388First of all, this is a private pool villa. The operation is a little different from that of a hotel. You can call them when you go to the door or when you arrive on the island to prepare. A certain level of English communication skills is required here, so please use your own discretion. The location is right at Tawean Beach, which has the most activities and is the most popular. It is really good. After playing in the water, you can go back to take a shower and change clothes. It is also very convenient to go back to the room to get your equipment if you forget it. The location shown on Google Maps is actually accurate. There is an alley next to the beach and you just need to walk in. For breakfast, the staff will ask you when you would like to have your meal tomorrow morning and then deliver it to your private pool. It tastes good and the portion is quite sufficient.
NNanbaoerFacilities: The facilities were excellent and well-equipped. Our room came with a hairdryer, and there was even a hammock right outside, which was a lovely touch!
Cleanliness: The hygiene was impeccable. The housekeeping staff cleaned daily and were so considerate, even wearing slippers when entering the room.
Ambiance: The ambiance was fantastic. I booked a sea-view room, and the comfortable balcony was a real highlight.
Service: The service was superb. Staff were polite, attentive, and always offered service with a genuine smile.
GGuest UserWhen we arrived, which might prove difficult for some to find, Martin, the owner was just on his way out. He immediately turned back and greeted us and explained the room we had booked wasn’t ready yet as we were several hours before booking in time. We knew this but he kindly allowed us to leave our overnight bags in storage as such so we could go exploring. Martin, being an Englishman, like myself, had a good old chin wag about several topics. On arriving back from our walkabout, and still earlier than booking in time, Martin said our room was ready and a lady led us there. Best room in the house with simply the best view. Just four choices for breakfast but catered for most palates. Martin found time to natter whenever l went to him for advice about where to eat, beaches etc and nothing was too much trouble. A fine host running a fine hotel.
IIvan MoiService is great, receptionist does English. The room is good, with fan, conditioner, large fridge. The location is exceptional and it can't be stressed enough, about 15 metres from the sea during the tide. The chairs on the beach are free, but the sun loungers are 200 baht - I suggest shopping around, there are cheaper options right next to it.
The only negative is non-existent soundproofing. Walls are thin, the door is a sliding flimsy one made of glass, and the music is always booming outside until 10 PM. You WILL hear it and everything your neighbours are taking about, earplugs and sleeping mask are mandatory.
AAngkanaThe service at the property was excellent. However, the water was a bit yellowish, which I assume is just how the water system operates on the island. We also 'lucked out' and got to experience a power outage, lol! We couldn't sleep a wink. It lasted for three hours, from 11 PM until 2 AM. What an 'entertaining' experience!
GGuest UserOnly Service and location is good but check in 2 PM is not convenient anymore. But check out is 11 AM. To be honest, not convenient. While waiting for the room, toilet at lobby is terribly dirty. Toilet and basin in the room is also dirty. As overall, nice to choose this hotel. But as for cleanliness is really bad.
