"We stayed at NUO Hotel for three nights during the Chinese New Year, with our elderly parents and young children, and the overall experience far exceeded our expectations. The hotel's classical charm is immediately apparent. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with high-quality furnishings, and the sleeping environment was quiet and private – we felt completely undisturbed. The room type we booked offered an excellent view, providing panoramic sights of Wanchun Pavilion in Jingshan Park, the White Pagoda in Beihai Park, and even a glimpse of the Forbidden City's rooftops.
The location is definitely the biggest highlight: it's about a 7-8 minute walk to Exit 2 of Tiananmen Square, and only about 20 minutes to the Forbidden City via Donghuamen to Wumen. The back entrance leads directly to Wangfujing, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. Plus, it's right by Exit C of Subway Line 1, so transportation is extremely accessible.
Even during the busy Chinese New Year, breakfast wasn't crowded. The offerings were decent and met the needs of our entire family. Our only minor regret was the slight lack of modern amenities: the shower only had an overhead rain shower, which wasn't very convenient for bathing children. The toilet was a standard model, and there was no free laundry room. However, Beijing's dry climate meant hand-washed clothes dried overnight, so this wasn't a major issue.
If you're looking for convenience, quiet comfort, and privacy when traveling with family, this hotel is absolutely the perfect choice. Five stars, highly recommended!"
