Difficulty staying, especially for foreign travelers You have to contact us by email two days before you have the gate password. No gate password, even CHECK IN / can't do it outside We didn't expect to be stupid outside the door. Fortunately, there are Japanese people who are willing to provide the door password. Emergency contact outside the door is only Japanese phone number no LINE/WHATSAPP It's useless to have an internet card Check in at the gate is troublesome With luggage, press in the small lobby. Local travelers also pressed 20 minutes It took almost an hour to get into the house. Passengers remember to contact the door password early in the morning I don't know how long I'll stand outside the door.

It was great!! It was bigger than I thought!! There was a table too!! It was a shame that the TV didn't have Netflix ㅠㅠ!! The bathroom was also big.

This is not a hotel, homestay to be more exact , but it the entire block , maybe 9 room in small building that is dedicated for tourist stay purpose, so I guess semi hotel semi homestay. First of all, there is no one in the building that is going to welcome , greet or say hello to you, You be given pin to enter, self check in process and go to your room. From outside it look small, but as soon I got in my room, this is the largest room I stayed in my entire trip to to Kyushu. There is enough space for my kids to run around, so you imagine that, is even larger than most studio apartment and come with large screen tv, fridge, simple cooking, oven, and etc, almost like a resident home. At first I am still skeptical about non hotel stay in Japan, but after this I am very confident, I looking forward again my stay with Grand Base. Don't worry about the location , just within 10 minute walk away from the station, so If we can do it with luggage and 2 kids, I think most people can do it with confidence.

The night view was wonderful because it was on a hill. There was a feeling of cleanliness and amenities were substantial, so I was able to spend a comfortable time. Unfortunately, the weather was not good, so I couldn't use the outdoor facilities, but if the weather was nice, I could enjoy beer and meals while watching the night view on the terrace.

Отель не хватает звезд с неба. Расположен очень удачно, всего в 7 минутах пешком от вокзала. На ресепшен персонал приветливый, удалось оставить чемоданы до времени заселения, как в принципе и в других отелях. Лифт один, утром приходилось немного ожидать, т.к. постояльцы бежали на завтрак. Хотя завтраком это назвать можно с натяжкой. Накрывается пару столов в холле, прям рядом с входной дверью, в рацион входят сосиски, овощи, какие-то супы, рис основное блюдо, вроде есть кофе-машина, но очередь была слишком велика чтобы отведать данный напиток. Номер обычный, но попался прокуренный, пришлось проветривать и пользоваться освежителем которым комплектовался номер. Кровать хорошая, расположена рядом с окном, можно вечером полюбоваться на шрикасены, кстати шума от вокзала нет, совсем.

Crown Palace is an exquisite hotel on the Murasaki River bank, a river that springs from Mt. Fukuchi. One of the hotel’s main feature is its gorgeous terrace restaurant with direct access to the river walk. Riverwalk Kitakyushu is a prestigious shopping centre that includes theatres, restaurants, a multiplex cinema, NHK studios, the head offices of Zenrin Co. and the Asahi Shimbun and a branch of the Kitakyushu City Art Museum. My wife and I stayed 2 times in Crown Palace this year summing about one month. Some rooms have city view but I didn’t try any. I recommend the rooms with a view over the Murasaki river. The railway station is at 10 minutes walking distance. Kokura castle, the district’s main attraction, is just across the riverbank. This was not the first year to stay in Crown Palace, so I could observe the constancy of high quality services. I was mostly impressed by the lunch, not only by the food, its presentation, but also by the way it was served. I knew Crown Palace from few years ago for the French dinners. Unfortunately, during the pandemic, dinner restaurant was closed. I recommend the deluxe double room (see my pictures). Breakfast is very good, don’t miss it. If you stay long, as we did, and wish to try other places to eat, there are plenty of restaurants and cafeterias nearby.

I loved everything about the guest house. Our own lockers and storage were perfect, the living room was so homey it felt like a living room. People were nice and spoke Japanese as well as English. I came to japan looking for a full, immersive experience and this was the perfect place. Fun location next to markets, bars, food, close to Kokura castle and the river walk. To me, it’s a better way to experience japan instead of a hostel where everyone only speaks English, and you might forget you’re traveling in another country. I loved it, for me it was home.

친구들과 시모노세키와 모지코를 다녀왔습니다. 이 숙소는 모지코역에서 도보로 10-15분 정도 걸리다 보니 짐이 있거나 우천시에는 찾아가기에 좀 인내심이 필요합니다. 입구에서 비번을 눌러야하는데 트립닷컴에서 받은 어떠한 번호로도 열리지 않았습니다. 운좋게 관계자분이 지나가다 보셔서 도움받아 들어갈수 있었는데 체크인에도 어려움이 발생해서 체크인을 하는 태블릿으로 화상연결하여 체크인을 할 수 있었습니다. 앞서 어려움만 이야기 하였으나 일단 방에 들어가서는 굉장히 만족하였습니다. 방도 상대적으로 다른곳보다 넓고 깔끔했으며 화장실과 샤워실이 구분되어있고 전자렌지, 인덕션이 있어 간단한 조리도 가능합니다. 참고로 인덕션은 화력이 약해 고기같은건 생각 안하시는게 좋겠습니다. TV도 크고 유튭,넷플릭스 등등도 이용 가능합니다. 숙소 근처에 ‘할로데이’ 대형마트가 있어 좋습니다. 전체적으로 앞서 입실에 어려움 빼놓고는 상당히 만족스러운 숙소였습니다.
