"We were looking forward to stay in this hotel for relaxation and nice view, however, the cleanliness was very disappointing! Hairs could be found on bed, bath towel with dirt inside, and the shower place also with hairs! We felt so disgusting about this. Besides, they provide microwave and stove for simple cooking but not providing any kitchenware for using.. so are they expecting us to carry our own dishes and bowls to their hotel? I think the hotel doesn’t worth this price. If it’s a low price hotel it would be more acceptable . But provided that its around 300 CFH per night I think we deserve a better and cleaner room."

"The front desk was very nice! Very welcoming! And it's very close to Interlaken West, about a three-minute walk away. The room was also quite big. I booked a twin room with my friend, but I didn't expect to get a couple's room. The decoration was very cute~ But the breakfast was too simple, pure white rice, which was not suitable for Chinese stomachs."

"The room I was stay in was under construction out of my window. There was a big plastic cover and wind can’t come thru the room. It was a hot day when I checked in. There is no air conditioner in the room. There is only a small fan provided in the room. It was so hot with no fresh air, I asked the front desk to switch another room, but the hotel was fully booked. The bedsheet was so wrinkled. I know this is a historic building but every is so out of date. I won’t stay or recommend anyone stay here."

Balmers Hostel

"The hostel was a little far from Interlaken Ost Station, but the hostel issued a pass, so it didn't take long to get there by bus. They held events every day (movie nights, BBQs, etc.) Meals were self-catering, and there was a kitchen with everything you needed: a microwave, oven, stove, cutting board, knives, pots, and pans (though there were a few forks). You were required to bring your own ingredients to cook, but if you wanted to use them again the next day, you had to label them and store them in the large refrigerator. Also, anyone could use anything unlabeled, so some people had leftover pasta and tomato sauce, and I saw some people using that for breakfast. There was no changing room, but it was combined with the shower room and was a bit small, though the shower room itself was spacious enough. I definitely want to stay here again when I visit Interlaken, because I was able to interact with a variety of people. Since I was traveling alone, I had done a lot of things by myself before coming here, which was fun, but it was the best experience ever, talking to someone in the kitchen while making dinner, going hiking the next day, and sightseeing the day after that. I'm not very good at English, but I managed to communicate somehow and made some fun memories. I recommend this to everyone, so please take a look! I recommend supermarkets like Coop and Lidl Schweiz"

The hotel is conveniently located close to the train station, which made getting around super easy.
