The guestroom was good, very clean & hotel amenities ”Pure Herbs” was very good. Front office staff & Housekeeping was kind to provide a few more additional bottles for our 3 nights stay. Our room was facing the road but we had very quiet & peaceful rest. The view from the window was breathtaking. The staff at the restaurant provide excellent service and took care of us very well during our stay. We will definitely come back to stay again when in Interlaken.
The location of the hotel can be access by bus 103 from both Interlaken west & Interlaken ost train stations or a 15 mins walk from Interlaken Ost train station. Very convenient. Easy to locate.
However, it will not be the place for the budget conscious. You are in Switzerland anyway, pamper yourself to the high ”quality of life”

I was really worried about how good this place is because of the reviews I read, I also thought the room will be too small like London hoyel rooms. Yo my surprise the hotel is Amazing and the standard room size is perfect for one or two people. Bed is very comfy. Also the air conditioning works perfectly fine, I live in a region with cooling is critical and I absolutely liked the room temperature although air conditioning is a real issue in Europe. They have Ritual products in the bathroom, and you can connect your netflix to the TV. Breakfast is very good, hotel has access door direct on train platform (this is amazing) . Staff are professional and pleasant. I looked around other properties in Interlaken East and West, they are mostly tired, cheap looking hotels, the Dorint is a 3 star but my experience is rather 4 star standard. I absolutely recommend it. Don't look elsewhere.

Interlaken is a beautiful, quaint little town and the Stella hotel is in a great location close to the Interlaken West train station and near the landing field for paragliding, both of which were great for us. Our room had a stunning view of the mountains! The breakfast was so good with fresh croissants and fruit and a self serve omelette station and espresso machine as well as bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs. The breakfast room is lovely and Jean, the food manager on most days we were there, is a gem. So attentive and sweet. Astrid at the front desk was helpful too. My husband used the small workout area and pool which has glass all around with a lovely view. Our main disappointments were with our room. Though spacious, it was very dated with exposed metal rods supporting shelving and random furniture and an old lamp in the seating area…Not like the website photos. The biggest functional issue is there is no AC. Because it was unseasonably warm for October, we had to leave the glass doors open and could hear all the street noise early in the morning when we were trying to sleep. We requested a fan for white noise (thank you, Astrid) and that helped some. I can’t imagine staying there when it’s warmer. With that said, we were not in our room except to sleep so we still enjoyed all the positives of the food, location and helpful staff.

Our stay here when traveling from the U.S. was perfect. We received a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which was breathtaking. The location can’t be beat, with stunning views of Jungfrau, right in the heart of the main entertainment area, and walkable with luggage to either rail station. (Interlaken West a better walk because there was construction to and from Ost) the staff were friendly and attentive to every detail from check-in to check out. Just a flawless experience at a lovely, clean, well appointed hotel.

The hotel is just across the road from Interlaken West station. So, it's extremely convenient especially if you're catching an early train. The hotel also issue free bus & train transport card within Interlaken and between Interlaken Ost & West stations. The toilet comes with body shampoo. There are also 6 USB ports for charging your devices in the room. Though the rooms are next to the street, the window and balcony door are double glazed, which keeps out the noise. There's aircon in the room but you don't really need it in winter, the fee to turn on the air-conditioning is CHF20. Breakfast is just average, nothing interesting here.

This little hotel was in the middle of Interlaken it was great, the young gentleman on reception was lovely snd spoke great English, he interacted and said hello everytime he saw us. The hotel gives you a bus pass which is great. The room was spotlessly clean, the shower was powerful snd refreshing, the beds were so comfortable matress, duvet, and pillow. We would 100% stay here again.

Pros: location near train station, comfortable bed, good shower Cons: no a/c (temps were in the 90s), inadequate storage in room (fortunately, there was a bathtub we didn't need, so used for storage). Makeup mirror on wall was so high the very bottom of it was 5.5 feet off the floor; not even my 5'10” husband could use it Rooms facing street were very noisy, even with windows closed. Even with Do Not Disturb sign on door, staff would enter room--without knocking. Worst problem was rude staff, from the owner on down. Employee who accompanied us to room said it was cooler in room than outside; we found that opening windows in 2 sides provided a breeze that made the room feel cooler. Staff closed windows when we were out; owner was aggressively unpleasant, telling us in a loud voice the room was cooler with windows closed. Washer and dryer were difficult to use, stopped before the money (more than required) we put in ran out. Employees couldn't resolve problems and were nasty about it.

The room was great and a very good cost saving room rates as compared to other Hotels within that commercial area. The location is walking distance from the Interlaken West and OST Train Stations. It is strategically located in between Train stations. So if you love walking even with luggages with rollers/tires, 600 meters to 700 meters walk to the station would be a lot of fun. The service was also great. Katya and her team are very helpful and friendly. Restaurants, convenient stores COOP, Coffee shops, groceries, pharmacies and many more are very close by. If you are looking for the best bang for your buck, this Hotel is the way to go.

GGuest UserI loved this place. First of all, it is a nice, modern, clean hotel. Good location. Green and surrounded by rabits and goats. What I liked most is that it’s also a place for the elderly and for those who need support. It was so nice to share the same space with them, to receive a warm “guten morgen” from the other guests and to feel grounded. The staff was always smiling and friendly. I am thankful.

For those who don't often stay at hostels, it's normal to be worried what your experience will be sharing a room with strangers. But from the moment you walk into this establishment, you are in great hands. You'll get excellent customer service and be located in an amazing property. The bathrooms/showers were so clean. The outdoor space gives you some isolation to admire the views or do some work. The kitchen area was my favorite - it's so spacious so I highly recommend stocking up on food from the local supermarket. The rooms were comfortable and the guests were respectful of my sleeping schedule. Overall, I couldn't ask for a better experience and for a great price. I paid 3 times more for a smaller room in Lauterbrunnen for what I paid here. I'll definitely be coming back to Backpackers Villa.

GGuest UserMy son 4 and l stayed here one night as we visited relatives here in Interlaken. The charming vintage character of the hotel and the lovely rooms were very nice. My son wanted to go for a swim in the pool which was nice as well although the pool water could be a little warmer (February) as it was quite cold. Also there were some used towels and empty water bottles laying around by the pool. The restaurant and breakfast buffet was very good we had dinner there and breakfast. Delicious and very nice ambiance. Very close to the hotel at the harder kulm funicular station ( 200 meters from the hotel) There is a wildlife park with Capricorns - for free to go and visit and a beautiful view over Interlaken and the hotel. The hotel staff in the restaurant and check in were all very friendly and cheerful. Special attention was given to my son who was very hungry in the evening after swimming so the restaurant staff made sure he got his spaghetti bowl very fast. When back in Interlaken we will definitely stay here again, great value for money and great location in the centre of Interlaken. Thank you.

GGuest UserHow nice it was to return to the Rössli hote in its quiet, convenient location only a five minute walk from Interlaken West railway/bus/boat interchange, from where you can explore the beautiful Bernese Oberland region and farther afield using the excellent Swiss Transport system. The hotel is a traditional, homely, unpretentious, clean and well managed establishment with friendly and helpful staff. Christopher the owner speaks six languages and he and the rest of the multi-lingual reception staff can help provide local excursion tickets, information leaflets and general help with your itineraries that save queuing at the station or local tourist information centre. The hotel provides the Interlaken Guest Card that allows for local bus and rail transport within the town and offers discounts at local shops and attractions. My room at the Rössli was very clean, simply furnished with a very comfy bed, writing desk, multi-channel TV, safe, electrical sockets including USB ports plus a shower and toilet. There is a compact lift that operates between reception and the first and second floor, whilst remaining access to the third floor is via stairs. 24 hour free tea/coffee is available in the ground floor lounge along with a large screen TV with video options. There is also a small multi-lingual library and a microwave cooker plus utensils available so guests may bring in and heat up their own foods. On the second floor is another TV lounge with video library and children’s play area. Breakfasts at the Rössli are continental style with a yummy scrambled egg and bacon option plus the usual cereals, breads, meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, jams, yoghurts and fruit juices. Tea and coffee are served at your tables by their friendly staff including Jean Louis (Christopher’s dad) who provides humorous commentary and useful pearls of tourist wisdom to his many returning guests. The hotel also provides free parking and offers a pay as you go laundry facility. Across the road from the hotel are a pharmacy, Bank ATM, Pizza restaurant and within 150m is a well stocked Co-oP from where you can stock up on drinks, fruit and snacks that will sustain your on your daily travels. As the hotel is very popular, I would advise booking early to avoid disappointment. If you want a family friendly, cosy retreat that won’t entirely empty your wallet, then I would recommend the Rössli without hesitation.

We are a family of 4 and finding a room for 4 in Europe can be a challenge. Hotel Derby was perfect for our family, the room for 4 was a great set up. They managed to fill the room with many nice amenities you would find at a chain hotel. The breakfast was very good and they had a lot to offer. When I arrived my suitcase had cracked and I was so worried about making it for the remainder of the trip and the flight home to USA. I asked at the reception if they had any tape I could use, a few minutes later they brought me some duct tape and scissors so I could tape the crack in my suitcase. It was an absolute lifesaver. I got through the trip and made it home. They saved me from a potential disaster. Very much appreciated. You can expect great treatment if you stay here.

GGuest UserWe stayed at Hapimag resort for 3 nights. The resort is 12 minutes of walk from Interlaken Ost station. There is a bus stop right in front of hotel as well. The apartments are very spacious. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment and it was quite spacious. The living area and balconies were huge. There were plenty of towels in the apartment and you could still get more from reception if you needed for pool etc. Hotel also has a temperature controlled pool, an adventure pool and steam/sauna rooms. All fun facilities to enjoy at the end of a tiring day or when its raining outside. There are plenty of restaurants at walking distance. We had a garden view apartment and the view from balcony was beautiful. On a clear day, you could see the Jungfrau mountain from balcony. Checkout process was smooth and fast. Reception staff was well informed and helpful. Overall a very good stay. Things that could be better The decor of the apartment was somewhat underwhelming. Things like balcony flooring, and bathroom tiles were somewhat basic. They were clean but not much color or design. Bathroom tiles were plain white, balcony flooring was basic cement and the whole apartment had like two small paintings. They could do a bit more in terms of decor and make it feel more like a 4 star property. Also, our apartment was not quite ready when we checked in. It appears that there was a last moment change of rooms and sofa cum bed was not converted to bed in this apartment. We informed the front desk and the lady present immediately got into action. It took an additional 30 minutes or so to get it all ready from there.

GGuest UserThis is a Swiss version homestay, no breakfast, Interlaken is not big, location is good. I do n’t think it ’s suitable for children. Not far from the train station, you can take a train directly to Zurich
